Finite-time singularities in the dynamical evolution of contact lines
We study finite-time singularities in the linear advection-diffusion equation
with a variable speed on a semi-infinite line. The variable speed is determined
by an additional condition at the boundary, which models the dynamics of a
contact line of a hydrodynamic flow at a 180 contact angle. Using apriori
energy estimates, we derive conditions on variable speed that guarantee that a
sufficiently smooth solution of the linear advection--diffusion equation blows
up in a finite time. Using the class of self-similar solutions to the linear
advection-diffusion equation, we find the blow-up rate of singularity
formation. This blow-up rate does not agree with previous numerical simulations
of the model problem.Comment: 9 pages, 2 figure
Reforestation of Brown Coal Dumps in Bashkortostan: Characteristics of the Soil and the Condition of Birch (Betula pendula Roth) Stands (Results of a 35-year Experiment)
In 1980β1984, reforestation of the dumps of the Kumertau brown coal deposit (Republic of Bashkortostan, Russia) was carried out. Birch stands were created on the dumps of overburdened rocks. The authors studied the agrochemical properties of soils, described the state of birch stands and established the patterns of metalaccumulation in birch organs 35 years after reforestation. It is established that 35 years after planting birch trees on the dumps, the trees are characterized as βhealthyβ. The concentration of copper, zinc, lead and cadmium in birch organs changes in the following sequence: root system > bark > shoots > leaves. Soil formation processes are noted in birch stands on dumps. The upper (0β20 cm) soil layer acidity shifted bytwo units to the acidic side. There is a slight decrease in the content of phosphorus and the exchange forms of calcium and magnesium. Thus, birch is a promising tree species for the reforestation of mining industry dumps.

Studying of the layland soils organic matter by Ir fourier spectroscopy method
Β© Research India Publications. Organic matter uneven-age layland soils are investigated by method of IR-Fourier spectroscopy of the mixed exemplars. Exemplars of the arable horizon, selected on depths of 0-5cm, 5-10cm, 10-15cm, 15-20cm were investigated. For correction of quartz and clay minerals absorption bands in ranges of native exemplars as background we used the mineral phase received by combustion of organic matter of 30% H2O2 soils. Feature of the studied exemplars uneven-age layland soils is existence of reference absorption bands aliphatic acids ethers, which are the stablest and constant base units of organic matter. Use of this approach allowed to estimate specter absorption changes of the functional humic substances groups and fragments in fiber exemplars of uneven-age layland soils, bound to secondary accumulation of detritus (rough) humus in upper arable horizons under the influence of secondary vegetation
The Effect of pre-incubation duration of soil-biochar model mixtures on the results of determination the intensity of substrate-induced respiration (Methodological aspects of study)
Was studied in laboratory experiments the effect of short term (3 days) and long term (95 and 187 days) pre-incubation of soil-biochar model mixes (ratio 20:1) in optimal conditions for the microorganisms on the results of definition the intensity of substrate induced respiration. For experiments 10 biochar samples were used. The biochars were produced from the woody and herbaceous materials under different pyrolysis conditions. Is revealed the heterogeneous influence of biochar by direction and dynamics on the rate of substrate induced respiration depending on the pre-incubation time of model mixtures. It is shown that the prolonged pre-incubation of biochar with soil material under optimal levels of moisture and temperature is a prerequisite for the correct formulation of laboratory experiments and provides a reliable assessment of the impact of biochar on a soil respiration. We can recommend the duration of pre-incubation 3-5 months
Macrocyclic derivatives of 6-methyluracil as ligands of the peripheral anionic site of acetylcholinesterase
Β© the Partner Organisations 2014. Novel pyrimidinophanes possessing two o-nitrobenzylethyldialkylammonium heads bridging with different spacers were prepared. Pyrimidinophanes 2a, 2b and 3 are reversible inhibitors of cholinesterases. They show a very good selectivity for human acetylcholinesterase (AChE), with an inhibitory power 100-200 times higher than for human butyrylcholinesterase (BChE). Docking simulations indicate specific binding of pyrimidinophanes 2a and 4 onto the peripheral anionic site of AChE. Other compounds bind to the active center of AChE as well as to the peripheral anionic site. These compounds are dual binding site inhibitors. Pyrimidinophane 2b and its acyclic counterpart 1 were tested in the animal model of myasthenia gravis and may be considered as valuable candidates for the treatment of pathological muscle weakness syndromes. One possible cause of resistant abdominal pain syndrome is a chronic intestinal ischemia caused by varying degrees of occlusion of the mesenteric vessels. Due to the variety of clinical manifestations, just noticeable their specificity and lack of awareness of general practitioners timely diagnosis of the syndrome of chronic abdominal ischemia is difficult. The method of choice of surgical treatment is percutaneous transluminal angioplasty and stenting of the arteries.ΠΠ΄Π½ΠΎΠΉ ΠΈΠ· Π²ΠΎΠ·ΠΌΠΎΠΆΠ½ΡΡ

CORROSION DETERIORATION of the thin-walled elements processed by a method of ionic implantation
Protection against corrosion destruction of elements of designs and constructions, is one of the major problems of the present. One of perspective directions of increase of corrosion firmness is updating of a blanket of an element of a design. In work some results of an experimental research of corrosion deterioration of elements of designs on which surface carbon ions have been implanted are resulted. For the analysis of results the experimentally-theoretical approach is used
DIFFERENTIATION ΠF TREES IN SANITARY-PROTECTIVE FOREST LANDINGS ΠF THE STERLITAMAK INDUSTRIAL CENTER
The paper presents the results of many years of research on the assessment of the relative vital state and accumulation of cadmium in the aboveground and underground organs in healthy and weakened poplar trees of balsamic and birch trees in the conditions of industrial contamination of the Sterlitamak industrial center. It is shown that in the conditions of industrial pollution of the Sterlitamak industrial center, the overwhelming majority of balsamic poplar trees belong to the category of Β«weakenedΒ» and Β«healthyΒ» birch trees. Under the influence of industrial pollution in the poplar balsamic there is a decrease in the density of the crown and the formation of a large number of dead branches. When studying root systems in healthy and weakened trees under conditions of industrial contamination of the Sterlitamak industrial center, it was found that at a depth of 0β20 cm, the rooting of the soil by the absorbing roots of balsamic and birch poplar roots decreases compared to the control. Also, it is established that in conditions of industrial pollution, the roots of healthy balsamic poplar trees are able to absorb more cadmium from the soil, thereby reducing their transport to terrestrial plant organs
