A new pattern of the moisture transport for precipitation related to the drastic decline in Arctic sea ice extent

In this study we use the term moisture transport for precipitation for a target region as the moisture coming to this region from its major moisture sources resulting in precipitation over the target region (MTP). We have identified changes in the pattern of moisture transport for precipitation over the Arctic region, the Arctic Ocean, and its 13 main subdomains concurrent with the major sea ice decline that occurred in 2003. The pattern consists of a general decrease in moisture transport in summer and enhanced moisture transport in autumn and early winter, with different contributions depending on the moisture source and ocean subregion. The pattern is statistically significant and consistent with changes in the vertically integrated moisture fluxes and frequency of circulation types. The results of this paper also reveal that the assumed and partially documented enhanced poleward moisture transport from lower latitudes as a consequence of increased moisture from climate change seems to be less simple and constant than typically recognised in relation to enhanced Arctic precipitation throughout the year in the present climate.Secretaría de Estado de Investigación, Desarrollo e Innovación | Ref. Prácticas de recursos humanos en la hostelería: caso del Hotel Renasa Valencia

[ES] El proyecto se centrará en la realización de un análisis sobre las prácticas de recursos humanos en el sector de la hostelería, específicamente, en los hostales y hoteles turísticos con el ánimo de encontrar las similitudes y diferencias más significativas. El trabajo incluirá un estudio exhaustivo en cuanto a tipo de oferta, tipo de cliente y tipo de empleado en cada tipo de alojamiento. Una vez todas las características de cada tipo de alojamiento están determinadas, se expone el caso de un hotel turístico como ejemplo. Esta aplicación concreta a un hotel de Valencia, el Hotel Renasa muestra la implementación de estas prácticas de recursos humanos en un hotel concreto dadas sus características específicas.[EN] The project will be based on the analysis of human resources practices in hospitality. Caracterización de las empresas cotizadas españolas socialmente responsables: un análisis del binomio rentabilidad-riesgo

[ES] En el transcurso de la historia, las empresas han ido percatándose de cómo la sociedad ha ido exigiendo cada vez un mayor compromiso a la hora de actuar. Esto hace referencia a que no únicamente deben centrarse en aspectos económicos y financieros, sino prestar también atención a criterios sociales, ambientales, de gobierno corporativo. No obstante, existen empresas que hacen caso omiso de ello: no practican las denominadas Inversiones Socialmente Responsables (I.S.R.). Expresado en otros términos, las alternativas a las inversiones tradicionales actúan en base a la denominada Responsabilidad Social Corporativa (R.S.C.), reflejada mediante la gestión ética de las organizaciones empresariales. Abarca una serie de acciones encaminadas a beneficiar a todos los actores involucrados en las actividades de la empresa en cuestión (accionistas, trabajadores, proveedores, distribuidores y la comunidad en su conjunto), alcanzando un mejor desempeño y logrando su sostenibilidad y la de su entorno. No obstante, el hecho de que una empresa decida llevar a cabo un comportamiento social responsable, implica una variación en la rentabilidad que podría llegar a obtener y en el riesgo que podría asumir en caso opuesto. En el presente Trabajo Fin de Máster se ha realizado un estudio del binomio rentabilidad-riesgo tanto de las empresas socialmente responsables como de las no responsables que cotizan en el Índice Bursátil Español (I.B.E.X. 35). Para describir una escena más actual, se ha partido de datos históricos recientes, en concreto, de los cinco últimos años (desde el 1 de enero de 2011 hasta el 31 de diciembre de 2015). Es importante subrayar que, debido a la existencia de ciertas empresas que han iniciado su proceso de cotización posteriormente al día 3 de enero de 2011 1 ,se han excluido del análisis.[EN] Throughout the course of the history, companies have been realised that society has been demanding a greater commitment for their actions. This means they must not only focus on economic and financial aspects, but that they must also pay attention to environmental, social, corporate governance criterion. However, there are companies which ignore this: they do not practise what is called Socially Responsible Investing (S.R.I.). In other words, alternatives to traditional investments act are based on what is known as Corporate Social Responsibility (C.S.R.), which is the ethical management of business organizations. It includes a series of actions aimed to benefit all stakeholders involved in the activities of the company in question (shareholders, employees, suppliers, distributors and community as a whole), achieving a higher performance and reaching its own sustainability as well as that of its environment. Nevertheless, the decision of a company to carry out a socially responsible behaviour means a variation in profitability and in the risk that could ensue. In this Master’s Thesis, a study has been made the risk-return relationship in socially responsible and non-responsible companies quoted on the ‘Índice Bursátil Español’ (I.B.E.X. 35). This study has been based on recent historical data in order to describe a current scene of the last five years (from 1st January 2011 to 31st December 2015). Representaciones Simbólicas. Sobre la memoria colectiva en la ciudad contemporánea

[EN] This project focuses on different visual representations and the production of a creative documentary. Looking for new image treatments and processes has been a work in progress based on a particular conceptual idea. It has been settled from the thought about the role of the collective memory, the social links, the commitment and the steady in the society that move around the contemporary city. This lead us to establish some questions and take them to the creative field, from a personal point of view and using our own experience. The strategies of representation and symbolic productions have been connected with our interest in photography and some other referential agents (philosophical , visual and related to the processes).Finding new meanings in the family album and analyzing the architecture, and some specific aspects from the body of the town center, we have been able to transmit a particular message with more questions than answers. We have based on a visual language, developing it and adjusting it to those techniques and processes that have been used. But, at the same time, this language has kept an esthetic coherence in the project as a whole.[ES] Este Trabajo Final de Grado (TFG) se centra en una serie de investigaciones plásticas y en la realización de un documental. La búsqueda de nuevos registros y tratamientos de la imagen ha sido un proceso continuo trabajado a partir de un discurso básico. Se parte de una reflexión sobre el papel de la memoria colectiva, los vínculos sociales duraderos, el compromiso y lo estable en la sociedad que transita por la ciudad contemporánea. Esto nos conduce a elaborar una serie de cuestiones y a llevarlas a un plano de creación, desde una mirada propia y partiendo de la experiencia más próxima. Las estrategias de representación y las producciones simbólicas han estado ligadas a nuestro interés por la fotografía y a otros factores referenciales (filosóficos, visuales y procesuales). Estableciendo nuevas lecturas del álbum familiar y observando la arquitectura y ciertos aspectos del cuerpo que constituye el núcleo urbano, hemos llegado a transmitir de forma reiterada un mensaje con más interrogantes que respuestas. El lenguaje en el que nos hemos basado ha ido evolucionando y adaptándose según las técnicas y los procesos utilizados pero, al mismo tiempo, se ha mantenido en muchos aspectos, aportando la coherencia estética en la globalidad del proyecto.Fernández Gimeno, M. Proposta de rehabilitació i canvi d'ús de la masovería de la Masia "Can Molins"

El Mas Molins està situat a la carretera Prat de la Riba s/n a Sant Climent de Llobregat, Barcelona. Es un complex format per la masia Can Molins, un edifici aïllat on hi vivien els masovers, una capella dedicada a Sant Miquel i un pati que uneix l’espai entre els tres cossos. Actualment a la masoveria de Can Molins hi viuen els masovers, contractats pel propietari per realitzar el manteniment bàsic del Mas. Des del punt de vista estructural, el complex es troba en bones condicions. Els materials d’acabats i revestiments sí es troben en estat de degradació degut bàsicament al pas del temps i la falta de la realització d’unes tasques de manteniment. En aquest projecte es descriurà una proposta amb les directrius bàsiques per realitzar la rehabilitació i el canvi d’ús de la masoveria, la capella i l’espai exterior que hi ha entre elles per transformar-lo en museu de la vida típica a la masia catalana de l’època on exposar les eines, el mobiliari, la documentació sobre les costums, etc...i així poder conèixer una mica més sobre les arrels històriques dels baixllobregatins. Els objectius d’aquest projecte es centren en la realització d’un breu estudi històric del Mas Molins, un aixecament gràfic de plànols (ja que no es disposa de cap efectuat amb anterioritat), un anàlisi constructiu actual, identificant les patologies existents i finalment, una proposta de rehabilitació i canvi d’ús que comportarà un aprofitament total de Mas, redistribuint i adaptant els espai
