Accurate Telescope Mount Positioning with MEMS Accelerometers
This paper describes the advantages and challenges of applying
microelectromechanical accelerometer systems (MEMS accelerometers) in order to
attain precise, accurate and stateless positioning of telescope mounts. This
provides a completely independent method from other forms of electronic,
optical, mechanical or magnetic feedback or real-time astrometry. Our goal is
to reach the sub-arcminute range which is well smaller than the field-of-view
of conventional imaging telescope systems. Here we present how this
sub-arcminute accuracy can be achieved with very cheap MEMS sensors and we also
detail how our procedures can be extended in order to attain even finer
measurements. In addition, our paper discusses how can a complete system design
be implemented in order to be a part of a telescope control system.Comment: Accepted for publication in PASP, 12 page
Beszámoló a X. Pedagógiai Értékelési Konferenciáról
A kulcsszavak vizsgálatával körvonalazzuk, mely területek voltak a konferencián hangsúlyosak. Ennek megfelelően választottunk ki, a plenáris előadásokon felül, néhány prezentációt, amelyeket röviden bemutatunk, ezzel érzékeltetve a konferencia gazdagságát és szakmai színvonalát
Draft Genome Sequence of an Escherichia coli O157:H43 Strain Isolated from Cattle
Here we report the draft genome sequence of an Escherichia coli O157:H43 strain, designated T22, with an atypical virulence gene profile and isolated from healthy cattle. T22 produces cytolethal distending toxin V (CDT-V) and belongs to phylogenetic group B1 and sequence type 155 (ST155)
THE CONVERGENCE OF THE OSPF ROUTING PROTOCOL
In this paper an OSPF convergence time prediction model is
introduced. It is based on examining the behaviour OSPF
and on the analysis of the generated data by OSPF flooding. The model was validated and refined by tests and experiments
on a test network built for this work. The resultant model can be used to predict the effect and convergence of a change
in an OSPF network. This feature is very usable for pre-emptive network
management and network planning
The Design of a Small-scale Plastic Extruder Machine
This paper discusses the design steps, working principle and structure of a small-scale thermo-plastic extrusion machine that will be used in a laboratory at the Sapientia University. The aim of the laboratory is to present the polymer processing technologies by student-built machines and to stress the importance of plastic recycling. In order to recycle plastic parts a grinding process is necessary, followed by extrusion. During the process the machine melts the polymer and extrudes a filament that can be converted into granulates or used as it is. The structure of the extrusion machine is rather similar to that of a commercial one, however it focuses on presenting the manufacturing principles and cost effectiveness
