Binary mixtures of condensates in generic confining potentials
We study a binary mixture of Bose-Einstein condensates, confined in a generic
potential, in the Thomas-Fermi approximation. We search for the
zero-temperature ground state of the system, both in the case of fixed numbers

A nucleon in a tiny box
We use Chiral Perturbation Theory to compute the nucleon mass-shift due to
finite volume and temperature effects. Our results are valid up to
next-to-leading order in the "\eps-regime" (mL ~ m\beta << 1) as well as in the
"p-regime" (mL ~ m\beta >> 1). Based on the two leading orders, we discuss the
convergence of the expansion as a function of the lattice size and quark
masses. This result can be used to extrapolate lattice results obtained from
lattice sizes smaller than the pion cloud, avoiding the numerical simulation of
physics under theoretical control. An extraction of the low-energy coefficient
c_3 of the chiral Lagrangean from lattice simulations at small volumes and a

Ecology and conservation of golden jackal (Canis aureus) in Jodhpur, Rajasthan
At north-west of India there is dry, semi arid region called as The Great Indian Thar desert. It lies between 24o and 35o 5’ N latitude and 70o 7’ and 76o 2’ E. Mammals of Thar desert includes the wolf (Canis lupus), the stripped hyaena (Hyaena hyaena), golden Jackal (Canis aureus), the Indian desert fox (Vulpes v. pusilla), wild bore (Susscrofaspc.), black buck (Antilo pecervicapra), blue bull (Boselaphus tragocamelus), chinkara (Gazella benneti), Hanuman langur (Semenopithecus entellus) etc. Golden Jackal is unique in distribution, occurrence, and survives at different environmental conditions in India including the hot desert. Present study has been carried out at Phitkasni village, situated south-east of Jodhpur city. Large population of golden Jackal has observed and data of their homerange, territory, inter-specific relation, conflict with human and mortality has been studied. It is concluded that regular monitoring and proper conservation management is needed in this area so Jackal and other carnivore like wolf, desert fox and hyena can also be conserved
Coercivity and stability results for an extended Navier-Stokes system
In this article we study a system of equations that is known to {\em extend}
Navier-Stokes dynamics in a well-posed manner to velocity fields that are not
necessarily divergence-free. Our aim is to contribute to an understanding of
the role of divergence and pressure in developing energy estimates capable of
controlling the nonlinear terms. We address questions of global existence and
stability in bounded domains with no-slip boundary conditions. Even in two
space dimensions, global existence is open in general, and remains so,
primarily due to the lack of a self-contained energy estimate. However,
through use of new coercivity estimates for the linear equations, we
establish a number of global existence and stability results, including results
for small divergence and a time-discrete scheme. We also prove global existence
in 2D for any initial data, provided sufficient divergence damping is included.Comment: 29 pages, no figure
A NEVER-ENDING STORY OF RHEUMATOID ARTHRITIS
There are distinct Rheumatic disorders, still Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is believed to be very prevailing. RA is an empathic disorder described over integral redness, constant inflammation, and the existence of auto-antibodies. In RA, inflammation in joints, loss of motion of joint stiffness, joint tenderness are most common in patients. Deformity of joints can be prevented by early diagnosis and treatment. The extremity of the disease can be reduced by combining the drugs and improved weight more profiled than single medication. Treat-to-target progress results in a superior-conclusion in RA, and the ACR, EULAR, and other specialized systems have supported treat-to-target as a basic curative strategy for RA. The novel methods used in RA have upgraded the development of the disorder and maximum people helpful in cancellation of clinical manifestations if the identification of disorder takes place before time. Self-organized Pattern Formation in Motor-Microtubule Mixtures
We propose and study a hydrodynamic model for pattern formation in mixtures
of molecular motors and microtubules. The steady state patterns we obtain in
different regimes of parameter space include arrangements of vortices and
asters separately as well as aster-vortex mixtures and fully disordered states.
Such stable steady states are observed in experiments in vitro. The sequence of
patterns obtained in the experiments can be associated with smooth trajectories

A stochastic-Lagrangian particle system for the Navier-Stokes equations
This paper is based on a formulation of the Navier-Stokes equations developed
by P. Constantin and the first author (\texttt{arxiv:math.PR/0511067}, to
appear), where the velocity field of a viscous incompressible fluid is written
as the expected value of a stochastic process. In this paper, we take
copies of the above process (each based on independent Wiener processes), and
replace the expected value with times the sum over these
copies. (We remark that our formulation requires one to keep track of
stochastic flows of diffeomorphisms, and not just the motion of particles.)
We prove that in two dimensions, this system of interacting diffeomorphisms
has (time) global solutions with initial data in the space
\holderspace{1}{\alpha} which consists of differentiable functions whose
first derivative is H\"older continuous (see Section \ref{sGexist} for
the precise definition). Further, we show that as the system
converges to the solution of Navier-Stokes equations on any finite interval
. However for fixed , we prove that this system retains roughly

Advances in fruit breeding in Nepal
Nepal has spent about six decades on fruit development and research in different species. Fruit breeding particularly local and exotic germplasm collection started after 1950s and has gained momentum after the formation of commodity programme in 1972 AD. Major researches in the past were focused on indigenous and exotic genotype collection, evaluation, selection, propagation protocol standardization and adoptive trials. Some good ground works have already been done in major fruits such as apple, pear, plum, persimmon, kiwifruit, citrus, litchi, guava, pomegranate, walnut, papaya, banana and mango. The major public institutions involved in fruit breeding are Nepal Agricultural Research Council (NARC) following Agriculture and Forestry University. Some of the private nurseries like Everything Organic Nursery, Kavre and Technology Demonstration Centre of ICIMOD, Lalitpur were also involved in introduction and maintenance of indigenous and exotic fruit species. National Centre for Fruit Development, Kirtipur; Tropical Region Horticulture Centre, Nawalpur; Temperate Horticulture Farm, Satbanj, and Horticulture Farm, Marpha collected many local and exotic fruits and maintained at field gene bank. Horticulture Research Station, Rajikot has introduced 25 spur type apple cultivars and maintained in field gene bank. National Citrus Research Programme, Paripatle has introduced, collected and maintained 130 genotypes including exotic and indigenous landraces of citrus. Two varieties of acid lime ‘Sunkagati-1’ and ‘Sunkagati-2’ have been released and one variety ‘Terhathum Local’ has been registered. ‘Khoku Selection’ of mandarin orange has also been registered. Banana varieties 'Malbhog', 'Willium Hybrid' and 'G9' has been selected by participatory varietal selection and registered. To strengthen fruit breeding in the nation, NARC needs to be restructured with special focus on fruit researches. Establishment of national fruit commodity programs along with establishment of Tropical Fruit Research Station in Province 2 and Temperate Fruit Research Station in Province 5 at national level can streamline NARC's fruit breeding researches
Hybrid MMSE Precoding for Millimeter Wave MU-MISO via Trace Maximization
In an attempt to alleviate the cost and power consumption in millimeter wave (mmWave) multiple input multiple output (MIMO) systems, hybrid precoding has been put forth as a possible solution. The hybrid precoding replaces the conventional fully digital precoding with a combination of analog and digital precoding to achieve good performance using a significantly smaller number of RF chains compared to the number of antennas. In this paper, we consider a narrowband downlink multiple user multiple-input single-output (MU-MISO) system and propose a hybrid precoding method in order to minimize the mean squared error (MSE) for all users. The analog and digital precoding design subproblems are isolated from each other. Analog precoder design is cast as a trace maximization problem, and solved by an iterative procedure based on truncated singular value decomposition (SVD). The digital precoder is determined subsequently after fixing the analog precoder, using Lagrange’s method. The proposed hybrid precoder produces spectral and bit error rate (BER) performances quite close to fully digital precoder, and almost the same as existing high performance hybrid precoders, albeit at a much lower complexity. The proposed precoding method is extended to operate in wideband channel, where it exhibits equally good performance with less complexity
