{N-[(2-Oxido-1-naphthyl)methylidene]serinato-κ3 O,N,O′}(1,10-phenanthroline-κ2 N,N′)copper(II)
In the title complex, [Cu(C14H11NO4)(C12H8N2)], the tridentate Schiff base ligand is derived from the condensation of 2-hydroxy-1-naphthaldehyde and l-serine. The CuII atom is five-coordinated by one N atom and two O atoms from the Schiff base ligand and by two N atoms from a 1,10-phenanthroline ligand in a distorted square-pyramidal geometry. In the crystal structure, the combination of intermolecular O—H⋯O and C—H⋯O hydrogen bonds results in a two-dimensional network structure parallel to (001)
Synthesis, characterization, kinetic and thermodynamic parameters evaluation from TG-DTA analysis of Cu(II), Co(II) and Mn(II) complexes with two phenol Schiff bases
Complexes of Cu(II), Co(II) and Mn(II) with two Schiff base ligands {[(2-carboxyphenyl)imino]methyl} phenol (HLA) and {[(2-hydroxyphenyl)imino]methyl} phenol (HLB) were synthesized and characterized by FT-IR, UV-Visible, 1H NMR spectroscopy and elemental analysis. All the synthesized complexes have been evaluated for their thermal degradation studies using TG-DTA analytical methods in static air. Thermodynamic and kinetic parameters were evaluated from the TG-DTA curves using Arrhenius equation
(E)-2-[(2-Chlorophenyl)iminomethyl]-4-methylphenol
The molecule of the title compound, C14H12ClNO, adopts the enol–imine tautomeric form, with an intramolecular O—H⋯N hydrogen bond. In the molecule, the two benzene rings are twisted with respect to each other by 30.6 (2)°. The crystal structure is stabilized by intermolecular C—H⋯π interactions
(E)-1-[(3-Bromophenyl)iminomethyl]naphthalen-2-ol
The title compound, C17H12BrNO, exists in an enol–imine form and the molecular structure features an intramolecular O—H...N hydrogen bond. The dihedral angle between the benzene ring and the naphthalene ring system is 17.27 (15)°
