1,3-Dien-5-ynes: Versatile Building Blocks for the Synthesis of Carbo- and Heterocycles

1,3-Dien-5-ynes have been extensively used as starting materials for the synthesis of a wide number of different carbo- and heterocycles. The aim of this review is to give an overview of their utility in organic synthesis, highlighting the variety of compounds that can be directly accessed from single reactions over these systems. Thus, cycloaromatization processes are initially commented, followed by reactions directed toward the syntheses of five-membered rings, other carbocycles and, finally, heterocycles. La cooperación internacional para el desarrollo en la prensa de Castilla y León

Producción CientíficaEste artículo presenta los hallazgos de un análisis de contenido cuantitativo sobre la presencia de la cooperación internacional para el desarrollo en doce periódicos que se distribuyen diariamente en Castilla y León. Entre enero y agosto de 2010 se publicaron 910 piezas periodísticas tratando esta cuestión, un volumen escaso en líneas generales y con una presencia irregular en todas las cabeceras. Estos contenidos, además, carecen de profundidad analítica, no incorporan el enfoque crítico necesario para comprender las complejas relaciones sobre las que se construye la cooperación entre países y, finalmente, priorizan los intereses locales sobre los aspectos de alcance global

The roots of the 15-M movement. Social order and moral indignation

Este trabajo analiza uno de los movimientos más interesantes que han surgido en España en los últimos cuarenta años. Lo hacemos desde una perspectiva constructivista, basada en el análisis de marcos, en nuestro trabajo anterior en este campo y en nuestra investigación del nuevo ciclo de protesta que surgió en España hace quince años. Empleamos técnicas etnográficas en el estudio de ambos movimientos y enfatizamos el potencial de algunas organizaciones cívicas para difundir esta clase de cultura, así como las continuidades entre las movilizaciones de masas que promovieron y el movimiento 15-M. Las raíces del 15-M se extienden a otros movimientos sociales que surgieron en los años 60 en Estados Unidos en busca de formas reales de democracia, entre los que destacamos el de los derechos civiles y el de la Nueva Izquierda estudiantil. Asimismo, abordamos la reflexividad social de este movimiento, su carácter no partidista y no violento, así como su orden interno durante la larga acampada en Sol. Esa movilización y las redes sociales permitieron difundir unas reivindicaciones.This paper analyzesanalyses one of the most interesting movements that arose since the end of oppositional movements to Franco’s dictatorship in the late seventies. Our approach to the May 15th Movement is grounded in field-work techniques, focuses on frame analysis and emphasizes the social reflexivity of this movement, its non-partisan character and its nonviolent nature. We also highlight the continuities between this movement and a civic one which promoted a new protest cycle since the mid-nineties, as a response of prominent civic organizations to the Basque’s nationalist terrorism, that we have recently investigated (2005- 2010). Such continuities also come from two relevant American movements of the 1960s, the civil rights and the student New Left movement, which also arose in search for real forms of democracy. We also highlight this movement’s social reflexivity, its definitional potential of serious social problems in citizens’ everyday life, its nonpartisan and nonviolent nature, as well as its internal order during its occupation of the center of Madrid. El empleo de nuevas tecnologías en el aprendizaje de técnicas cuantitativas

El objetivo del presente trabajo consiste en poner de manifiesto la importancia de la utilización de las Nuevas Tecnologías en el proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje. Presentamos una experiencia docente basada en el empleo de programas informáticos propios y el uso de demostraciones (DEMOS) interactivas. Esto puede ayudar a profesores y alumnos a impartir o asimilar de mejor forma los contenidos prácticos de las asignaturas universitarias. Exponemos las principales ventajas del método de enseñanza empleado, así como del uso de programas informáticos ad hoc frente a paquetes de programas adquiridos en el mercado.The objective of this paper is to highlight the importance of using New Technologies in teachinglearning process. We present a teaching experience based on own software and interactive Demos. This activity may help teachers and students to teach or assimilate the practical contents of university subjects. We expose the main advantages of the learning method, as well as the utilization of ad hoc software in front of commercial software

El control y su efecto en la relación agente-principal

El objetivo de este trabajo es analizar los efectos del control en la relación que mantienen agente y principal, centrándonos en el sector asegurador. Para ello, tras efectuar un recorrido por la literatura más relevante se proponen las diferentes hipótesis de investigación. Para su contraste, se ha desarrollado un estudio empírico a partir de la información disponible de 231 agentes de seguros. Se ha empleado la modelización mediante ecuaciones estructurales para el contraste de las hipótesis, confirmando previamente la validez y fiabilidad de las escalas propuestas. Los resultados obtenidos nos permiten afirman que los mecanismos de control (de resultados, procesos y comportamiento) debidamente utilizados, pueden contribuir a aumentar la satisfacción de los agentes de seguros en relación al principal (empresa aseguradora), aumentando la confianza y motivación para un desarrollo más eficaz de sus funciones.The following research deals with a topic of great interest in the field of Business Administration. After carrying out a review on the most relevant literature work related with it, theoretical fundamentals are established in order to transfer them into a pattern which shows the relations and interdependencies among the different variables analysed, with the aim of explaining how the management developed by an insurance company affects on the satisfaction perceived by the insurance agent regarding the relations maintained with such company. Once the pattern is proposed, the selected hypotheses are contrasted empirically on 231 questionnaire of insurance agent. The results, aplication sctrutural ecuation model, allow to support most of the theoretical proposals considered. Finally, the conclusions are reflected from different perspectives: theoretical, empirical, business management directed, etc., which enriches the research since they seem to be extensible both on the academic and business field

The franchising system in Spain: Comparative analysis of efficiency of own units versus franchised units

El sistema de franquicia sigue su avance imparable en todo el mundo, tanto en los países más desarrollados comercialmente como en los que tienen unas estructuras comerciales más anticuadas. Por tanto, no es de extrañar que sea un tema que actualmente centra la atención en las investigaciones en el área de los negocios. El sistema de franquicia, normalmente, es un sistema dual constituido por unidades propias y franquiciadas. Nuestro trabajo tiene como objetivo comparar la eficiencia de las unidades propias frente a las unidades franquiciadas. Este campo de investigación no ha sido muy desarrollado en España y escasamente tratado en la literatura científica internacional.Franchising system continues its unstoppable advance in the whole world, as in the countries most developed commercially as in those that have some more antiquated commercial structures. Therefore, it is not surprising that it is a topic that centers the attention of research on the area of the business nowadays. Usually, franchising system is a dual system constituted by own and franchisee units. The objective of this work is to compare the efficiency of own units opposite to the franchisee units. This field of research has not been very developed in Spain and scantily treated in the scientific international literature

Fortalezas y debilidades del DNI electrónico (eDNI)

La explosión y extensión de internet ha marcado la globalización mundial abriendo una serie de retos a la sociedad desde el punto de vista de la identificación de los ciudadanos. A fin de responder a estas nuevas necesidades de la población española el Gobierno decidió lanzar el eDNI. En este trabajo se presentan los acontecimientos más relevantes que antecedieron a esta trascendente decisión, así como el modelo de DNI electrónico propuesto, el cuál es analizado a través de sus muchas fortalezas y debilidades.The outburts and spreading of internet has affected the world globalization opening a series of challlenges to this society from the point of view of citizen’s identification. In order to answer to these new needs of Spanish population, the Government decided to set up the DNI. On this task we are not only introduced to the outstanding events that preceded this transcendental decision, but also the proposed electronic DNI, which is analysed through its varied strength and weakness
