Evidence of chaotic modes in the analysis of four delta Scuti stars

Since CoRoT observations unveiled the very low amplitude modes that form a flat plateau in the power spectrum structure of delta Scuti stars, the nature of this phenomenon, including the possibility of spurious signals due to the light curve analysis, has been a matter of long-standing scientific debate. We contribute to this debate by finding the structural parameters of a sample of four delta Scuti stars, CID 546, CID 3619, CID 8669, and KIC 5892969, and looking for a possible relation between these stars' structural parameters and their power spectrum structure. For the purposes of characterization, we developed a method of studying and analysing the power spectrum with high precision and have applied it to both CoRoT and Kepler light curves. We obtain the best estimates to date of these stars' structural parameters. Moreover, we observe that the power spectrum structure depends on the inclination, oblateness, and convective efficiency of each star. Our results suggest that the power spectrum structure is real and is possibly formed by 2-period island modes and chaotic modes

The envelope of the power spectra of over a thousand \delta Scuti stars. The Tˉeff\bar{T}_{eff}-νmax\nu_{max} scaling relation

CoRoT and Kepler high-precision photometric data allowed the detection and characterization of the oscillation parameters in stars other than the Sun. Moreover, thanks to the scaling relations, it is possible to estimate masses and radii for thousands of solar-type oscillating stars. Recently, a \Delta\nu - \rho relation has been found for \delta Scuti stars. Now, analyzing several hundreds of this kind of stars observed with CoRoT and Kepler, we present an empiric relation between their frequency at maximum power of their oscillation spectra and their effective temperature. Such a relation can be explained with the help of the \kappa-mechanism and the observed dispersion of the residuals is compatible with they being caused by the gravity-darkening effect

Los fanfictions como escritura en colaboración: modelos de lectores beta

Dadas las potencialidades formativas y lúdicas que poseen las nuevas prácticas letradas desarrolladas en entornos digitales y, concretamente, los fanfictions, en este trabajo se han analizado 321 lectores beta (lectores que ayudan a mejorar los textos antes de su publicación) de la plataforma fanfiction.net. En estos perfiles se han podido conocer características generales como el sexo, edad y país de residencia, así como las fortalezas, debilidades y preferencias textuales que exponen estos beta readers. Todo ello ha permitido explorar las interacciones que se establecen entre escritores y sus lectores beta. Además, se han extraído cinco modelos de colaboración de lectores beta. Finalmente se ha comprobado que se trata de oportunidades únicas para el desarrollo de competencias lectoras, escritoras y literarias en escenarios informales

Los influencers españoles de lectura en Goodreads: participación, experiencia y canon propuesto

Nobody doubts the importance of digital influencers when it comes to the selection and acquisition of new products and services. In the specific field of literary reading, literary blogs, booktubers and specialized websites that act as prescribers of reading stand out. This study presents a descriptive research model in which a multivariate analysis of the main sociodemographic characteristics, assessments, readings and activities developed by the 100 most important reading influencers in Spain was carried out. For this purpose, data were taken from the most widely used reading cataloguing platform, i.e. Goodreads. It was found to be mainly about women with a developed reading habit and with an effervescent and extensive experience in literary blogs, thematic social networks, etc. In addition, the results show that the more influencers evolve as readers the more demanding they become more in their assessments, which in turn translates into greater influence. Influencers’ recognition in the platform, therefore, is subject to their reading experience, critical capacity and personal criteria. Finally, it was learned that the canon of authors and works best valued by these relevant users is heterogeneous, although works and authors related to Young Adult Literature and bestsellers predominate to a certain extent.Ya nadie duda de la importancia que poseen los influencers en la selección y adquisición de nuevos productos y servicios. En el ámbito concreto de la lectura literaria destacan los blogs literarios, booktubers y webs especializadas que actúan como promotores de la lectura. En este estudio se ha empleado un modelo de investigación descriptiva en la que se ha realizado un análisis multivariante de las principales características sociodemográficas, evaluaciones, lecturas y actividades que desarrollan los 100 influencers de lectura más importantes de España. Para ello, se han tomado datos de la plataforma de catalogación de lecturas más utilizada en la actualidad: Goodreads. Se ha hallado que se trata principalmente de mujeres con un desarrollado hábito lector y con una efervescente y extensa experiencia en blogs literarios, redes sociales temáticas, etc. Además, los resultados muestran que a medida que las personas influyentes evolucionan como lectores, se vuelven más exigentes en sus valoraciones y eso se traduce en una mayor influencia. Su reconocimiento en la plataforma, por lo tanto, está sujeto a su experiencia de lectura, su capacidad crítica y sus criterios personales. Finalmente, se concluye que el canon de autores y obras mejor valoradas por estos usuarios relevantes es heterogéneo, aunque existe un cierto predominio de obras y autores de Literatura Juvenil y bestsellers.Ministerio de Economía y Competitividad (EDU2015 69924-R
