    Adolescent Neuroblastoma of Lower Limb

    Neuroblastoma is an embryonic tumour of neural crest origin, commonly seen in children with upper abdomen involvement. Rarely neuroblastomas present in adolescents and adults involving lower limb. Histopathologically neuroblastoma of lower limb can be confused with other small round cell tumour especially with Ewing’s sarcoma and rhabdomyosarcoma. A 16 year old male presented with 15x11cm swelling, pain and multiple discharging sinuses of right leg since 4 months. Routine haematological and biochemical analysis were within normal limits. Radiology of right leg showed large soft tissue swelling encompassing the pathological fracture of tibia and bowing of fibula. Fine needle aspiration of the swelling revealed malignant small round cell tumour. Histopathology revealed poorly differentiated neuroblastoma of lower limb. The immunohistochemistry of Synaptophysin and Chromogranin were positive and CD 99 was negative. Neuroblastoma diagnosed at unusual site with uncommon age has poor prognosis. Hence, one must keep in mind the differential diagnosis of neuroblastoma as one of the differential diagnosis in evaluating the soft tissue tumours of lower limb

    Class and Structural Inequality of fishing communities in Ambon City

    Social class is a social phenomenon that often occurs in every social group including the fishing communities. The structural inequality of fishing communities is characterized by the imbalance in ownership of production equipment and income distribution among fishermen. This research was conducted in one of the  Fishermen Village (Negeri) in Ambon City, called Negeri Latuhalat. Type of research used in this study is post-positivism paradigm using qualitative approach supported by quantitative research. The purpose of this research is to analyze the level of imbalance between Ambon City fishermen. The results showed the formation of fishermen social classes which consist of masnait fishermen, tanase fisherman laborer, small fishermen, middle fishermen and tenant fisherman (capitalist). The gini index of fishermen in the research location shows a figure of 0.74, meaning that it shows a high imbalance between fisherman classes. The ratio of kuznets or the average comparison between fishermen received by 33% of the top group of Rp. 8,404,567, - and 25% of the lowest group of Rp. 2.040.000, -. Measurements using the World Bank also show the same thing with the results of gini index measurements that illustrate the portrait of inequality income distribution in the study sites. This condition illustrates that there has been an imbalance between fishermen classes, as much as 75% are only able to receive 8.72% of total income while as much as 25% of tenant fishermen (capitalist) enjoy and control 91.73% of total income

    National audienceIndustrial waste currently raises particularly difficult issues to resolve. Orr use may solve three problems: technical, economic and environmental. The present work is then to incorporate waste polishing tiles as filler in concrete sand and study the effect of addition of waste to different doses of physical characteristics (shrinkage, longitudinal deformation) and mechanical properties (compressive strength and tensile strength), for use in various fields and especially in the superficial repair of reinforced concrete structures. We made a concrete sand using local materials(sand Bousaada, cement:CPJ32.5), we could have a optimum dosage of 145 kg/m 3 filler waste polishing tiles, to 28 days old mechanical resistance to compression is greater than 25 MPa with moderate shrinkage. Where there is a gain economic and other ecological.Les déchets industriels soulèvent actuellement des problèmes particulièrement difficiles à résoudre. Or leur réutilisation pourrait résoudre un triple problème : problèmes techniques, économiques et environnementaux. Le présent travail consiste, alors à incorporer le déchet de polissage de carrelage comme filler dans le béton de sable et étudier l'effet d'ajout de ce déchet à différents dosages sur les caractéristiques physiques (retrait, déformation longitudinale) ainsi mécaniques (résistance à la compression et à la traction), afin de l'utiliser dans différents domaines et spécialement dans la réparation des ouvrages en béton armé. On a formulé un béton de sable à base de matériaux locaux (sable de Bousaada, ciment : CPJ 32,5), on a put avoir avec un dosage optimum de 145 Kg/m 3 de filler déchet de polissage de carrelage, à l'âge de 28 jours une résistance mécanique à la compression qui dépasse 25 MPa avec un retrait modéré. D'où on constate un gain économique et autre écologique

    Electrochemical treatment of aqueous solutions of catechol by various electrochemical advanced oxidation processes: Effect of the process and of operating parameters

    Catechol, one of the most abundant compounds in olive mills wastewaters, which is generated in the Fenton degradation of various aromatic compounds, is a toxic, possible carcinogen, persistent pollutant and it is not readily biodegradable. Hence, its degradation requires the utilization of advanced oxidation processes (AOPs). Here, the electrochemical treatment of aqueous solutions of catechol was investigated. The utilization of various electrochemical processes, such as electroFenton (EF), direct anodic oxidation (AO), indirect oxidation by electro-generated active chlorine and coupled processes was investigated. Furthermore, the effect of various operating conditions (including the nature of anode for AO, the initial pH and the current density) was widely studied in order to optimize the selected electrochemical processes. For EF process, the effect of the nature of the catalyst (homogeneous FeSO4 and heterogeneous pyrite and chalcopyrite) was also analysed. It was shown that both EF and AO, under proper operating conditions, allow a very high removal of the TOC, while the indirect oxidation by electro-generated active chlorine is poorly effective. The utilization of a coupled EF-AO process allowed to enhance the abatement of both catechol ad TOC with respect to single processes

    Suivi par Microbalance à Quartz de l'inhibition chimique de la précipitation du gypse à 30°C

    L'étude de l'inhibition chimique de la formation du gypse a été effectuée au moyen d'une Micro-Balance à Quartz (MBQ). La MBQ s'est avérée précise et reproductible dans la détermination du temps de germination du sulfate de calcium dihydraté. L'efficacité de trois inhibiteurs vis-à-vis de la formation du gypse à 30°C a été testée pour différentes concentrations en ions Ca2+ et SO42- équivalentes à celles rencontrées dans les unités de dessalement des eaux saumâtres par osmose inverse. Les résultats obtenus montrent que l'acide nitrilotris(méthylène phosphonique) (NTMP) est un excellent inhibiteur chimique de la précipitation du gypse, contrairement à l'acide 1-hydroxyéthane (1,1-diphosphonique) (HEDP) qui s'est avéré inerte. Le tripolyphosphate de sodium (TPP) présente une efficacité moins bonne que celle de NTMP. Par ailleurs, l'efficacité de ces inhibiteurs varie légèrement avec le pH lorsque le milieu est légèrement acide. Pour des milieux faiblement basiques, le temps de germination augmente considérablement notamment en présence du NTMP

Devotion to this society is attempting to give students through the primary purpose of the workshop about the scored students for ready to face the industrial revolution 4.0 and increase eager to study with the the law of attraction concept. Things that are provided with for students is an understanding of the era of the industrial revolution 4.0, for students, mental maturation an injection motivation, and increase passion for being students who superior. These efforts becomes strategy in preparing students for ready to face the era of the industrial revolution 4.0. Strategies are delivered to students through the concept of the Law of Attraction. The concept was to give effect both mentally, foster self-confidence, mindset, spirit, determination, and an attitude to face something.
