To achieve this purpose an individual word has been selected, since it is the author\u27s opinion that such a study will contribute most to a conviction of the unity of the Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments and at the same time facilitate efficiency in handling certain basic mechanical tools for further the future studies, such as the concordances, lexicon, and commentaries

    Use of remotely-derived bathymetry for modelling biomass in marine environments

    The paper presents results on the influence of geometric attributes of satellite-derived raster bathymetric data, namely the General Bathymetric Charts of the Oceans, on spatial statistical modelling of marine biomass. In the initial experiment, both the resolution and projection of the raster dataset are taken into account. It was found that, independently of the equal-area projection chosen for the analysis, the calculated areas are very similar, and the differences between them are insignificant. Likewise, any variation in the raster resolution did not change the computed area. Although the differences were shown to be insignificant, for the subsequent analysis we selected the cylindrical equal area projection, as it implies rectangular spatial extent, along with the automatically derived resolution. Then, in the second experiment, we focused on demersal fish biomass data acquired from trawl samples taken from the western parts of ICES Sub-area VII, near the sea floor. The aforementioned investigation into processing bathymetric data allowed us to build various statistical models that account for a relationship between biomass, sea floor topography and geographic location. We fitted a set of generalised additive models and generalised additive mixed models to combinations of trawl data of the roundnose grenadier (Coryphaenoides rupestris) and bathymetry. Using standard statistical techniques—such as analysis of variance, Akaike information criterion, root mean squared error, mean absolute error and cross-validation—we compared the performance of the models and found that depth and latitude may serve as statistically significant explanatory variables for biomass of roundnose grenadier in the study area. However, the results should be interpreted with caution as sampling locations may have an impact on the biomass–depth relationship

    City backbone network traffic forecasting

    The work considers a one-dimensional time series  protocol packet intensity, measured on the city backbone network. The intensity of the series is uneven. Scattering diagrams are constructed. The Dickie Fuller test and Kwiatkowski-Phillips Perron-Shin-Schmitt test were applied to determine the initial series to the class of stationary or non-stationary series. Both tests confirmed the involvement of the original series in the class of differential stationary. Based on the Dickie Fuller test and Private autocorrelation function graphs, the Integrated Moving Average Autoregression Model model is created. The results of forecasting network traffic showed the adequacy of the selected model

    Development and analysis of symmetric encryption algorithm Qamal based on a substitution-permutation network

    This paper represents a developed cryptographic information protection algorithm based on an substitution-permutation network. We describe the cryptographic transformations used in the developed algorithm. One of the features of the algorithm is the simplicity of its modification with regard to different security levels. The algorithm uses a pre-developed S-box tested against differential and linear cryptanalysis. The S-box is consistent with the one of known standards AES and GOST R 34.12-2015. We provide the findings of an avalanche-effect investigation and statistical properties of cipher texts. The algorithm actually meets the avalanche-effect criterion even after the first round

    Body size, reproduction and feeding ecology of Pleurodema diplolister (Amphibia: Anura: Leiuperidae) from Caatinga, Pernambuco state, Northeastern Brazil

    We present data about body size, sexual dimorphism, reproductive traits and diet ecology of Pleurodoma diplolister. This species is sexually dimorphic with females larger than males, corroborating others Leiuperidae species. The number of eggs varied from 62 to 1241 and we found a positive relationship between SVL of females and number of mature ovarian eggs but there is no relationship between SVL and volume of eggs. The diet of P. diplolister was composed by 11 categories of which Formicidae, Coleoptera and Orthopterans were the most important items and showed generalist and oportunistic predator habits. Data presented here should be considered in the development of future conservation strategies of anurans from Caatinga biome and other semiarid/arid environments

    Fermion Zero Modes in the Presence of Fluxes and a Non-perturbative Superpotential

    We study the effect of background fluxes of general Hodge type on the supersymmetry conditions and on the fermionic zero modes on the world-volume of a Euclidean M5/D3-brane in M-theory/type IIB string theory. Using the naive susy variation of the modulino fields to determine the number of zero modes in the presence of a flux of general Hodge type, an inconsistency appears. This inconsistency is resolved by a modification of the supersymmetry variation of the modulinos, which captures the back-reaction of the non-perturbative effects on the background flux and the geometry.Comment: 21 pages, revised version contains a new appendix on dimensional reduction of spinors and some changes in the spinor equation

    Cohesive properties of bcc and fcc rubidium from ab initio pseudopotentials

    Total-energy calculations have been performed for Rb at zero temperature using a self-consistent ab initio pseudopotential approach within a local-density-functional scheme. The energy difference between fcc and bcc Rb, and the energy barrier between these structures, are found to be extremely small near the equilibrium volume. Agreement of the calculated cohesive properties of bcc Rb with experimental values is good in view of the softness of the material. A transition from bcc to fcc has been calculated to occur at a pressure of about 52 kbar for T=0 K, which compares favorably with the observed value of 70 kbar for this transition at room temperature

    In vivo characterization of protein-protein interactions in the AP1 system with fluorescence correlation spectroscopy (FCS).

    The aim of these studies is the quantitative investigation of protein-protein interactions in the AP1 system in vivo. First results of FCS measurements show an exchange in the nucleus of the proteins Fos-CFP and Jun-YFP in the stably mono-transfected HeLa-Cells. This is also shown by fitting the bleaching curves measured in the nucleus with an appropriate model. We obtained dissociation times between 10 and 20 seconds in the nucleus. In the autocorrelation function a free and an obstructed component of diffusion are shown. For further studies doubly transfected cells with both proteins, Fos-CFP and Jun-YFP, were prepared. These cells will now be characterized with FCCS to investigate the protein-protein interactions. In order to obtain the dissociation rates of the complex in the cell nucleus bleaching curves will be recorded on these cell lines. We also overexpressed and purified Jun-YFP and Fos-CFP for in vitro studies
