    Constructive solution of highly effective photoenergy module: development and experimental testing

    Based on experimental study and computermodeling of working temperature influence on the efficiency of Chinese production silicon solar cells identified temperature dependence of efficiency shows the feasibility of using Chinese production Si-SC in the construction of photovoltaic thermal system, which together with the heat pump is part of a combined system for hot water supply, heating and air conditioning. Based on a detailed analysis of the working temperature influence on the efficiency of photovoltaic processes that determine the solar cells work, it has been developed the optimal construction and technological solution of hybrid solar generated module, the main feature ofwhich is the heat exchange block, designed to reduce the solar cells working temperature. The experimental testing of hybrid modules samples equipped with developed cooling system, high-voltage part of power take-off system demonstrates their reliability and high efficiency which allow to achieve the such module efficiency up to 18.5 %.На основе экспериментального исследования в комплексе с компьютерным моделированием влияния рабочей температуры на эффективность кремниевых солнечных элементов китайского производства выявлена температурная зависимость их эффективности. Температурная зависимость показывает целесообразность использования солнечных элементов китайского производства в составе фотоэлектрической тепловой системы, которая вместе с тепловым насосом является частью комбинированной системы горячего водоснабжения, отопления и кондиционирования воздуха. На основе детального анализа влияния рабочей температуры на эффективность фотоэлектрических процессов, определяющих работу солнечных элементов, было разработано оптимальное конструктивно-технологическое решение гибридного солнечного генерирующего модуля, основной особенностью которого является теплообменный блок, предназначен для снижения рабочей температуры солнечных элементов. Экспериментальные испытания образцов таких модулей, оснащенных разработанной системой охлаждения и высоковольтной системой отбора мощности, демонстрируют их надежность и высокую эффективность, позволяющие достичь КПД гибридного модуля до 18,5 %

    Elongation of confined ferrofluid droplets under applied fields

    Ferrofluids are strongly paramagnetic liquids. We study the behavior of ferrofluid droplets confined between two parallel plates with a weak applied field parallel to the plates. The droplets elongate under the applied field to reduce their demagnetizing energy and reach an equilibrium shape where the magnetic forces balance against the surface tension. This elongation varies logarithmically with aspect ratio of droplet thickness to its original radius, in contrast to the behavior of unconfined droplets. Experimental studies of a ferrofluid/water/surfactant emulsion confirm this prediction.Comment: 12 pages, 7 figures. Submitted to Phys. Rev.

    Рассматривается проблема психолого-психотерапевтической помощи лицам, интолерантным к оцениванию своего внешнего облика. Анализируются теоретические представления о процессах самовосприятия внешнего облика, механизмах его «проблемного» сравнения с внешним обликом других людей, переживания, основанные на возможности коррекции субъектом самооценки своей внешности и повышения устойчивости к ее оценкам окружающими. Приводятся результаты проведенных авторами социально-психологических тренингов, направленных на повышение толерантности к оценкам и самооценкам внешнего облика.The problem of psychological and psychotherapeutic assistance to persons intolerant to the assessment of their appearance is considered. Theoretical ideas about the processes of self-perception of external appearance, the mechanisms of its “problematic” comparison with the external appearance of other people, experiences based on the possibility of the subject correcting his self-esteem of his appearance and increasing resistance to its assessments by others are analyzed. The results of socio-psychological trainings conducted by the authors aimed at increasing tolerance to assessments and self-assessments of appearance are given

    Global analysis of data on the spin-orbit coupled A1Σu+A^{1}\Sigma_{u}^{+} and b3Πub^{3}\Pi_{u} states of Cs2

    We present experimentally derived potential curves and spin-orbit interaction functions for the strongly perturbed A1Σu+A^{1}\Sigma_{u}^{+} and b3Πub^{3}\Pi_{u} states of the cesium dimer. The results are based on data from several sources. Laser-induced fluorescence Fourier transform spectroscopy (LIF FTS) was used some time ago in the Laboratoire Aim\'{e} Cotton primarily to study the X1Σg+X ^{1}\Sigma_{g}^{+} state. More recent work at Tsinghua University provides information from moderate resolution spectroscopy on the lowest levels of the b3Π0u±b^{3}\Pi_{0u}^{\pm} states as well as additional high resolution data. From Innsbruck University, we have precision data obtained with cold Cs2_{2} molecules. Recent data from Temple University was obtained using the optical-optical double resonance polarization spectroscopy technique, and finally, a group at the University of Latvia has added additional LIF FTS data. In the Hamiltonian matrix, we have used analytic potentials (the Expanded Morse Oscillator form) with both finite-difference (FD) coupled-channels and discrete variable representation (DVR) calculations of the term values. Fitted diagonal and off-diagonal spin-orbit functions are obtained and compared with {\it ab initio} results from Temple and Moscow State universities

    Combined Surgical Tactics with Step-up Approach in the Treatment of Infected Acute Pancreatitis

    Objective. To evaluate the results of treatment using minimally invasive interventions and open necrectomy in patients with infected acute pancreatitis. Materials and methods. A retrospective cohort two-centered analysis was performed in 211 patients with infected acute pancreatitis who divided into two groups: the first included 101 patients, in the treatment of which used open surgery; the second included 110 patients, in the treatment of which used treatment tactic step-up approach. Results. In the first group used open necrosectomy with drainage for postoperative lavage (75 patients, 74.3%), including open packing with planned re-laparotomy (8 patients, 7.9%), and omentobursostomy for necrosectomy after surgery (18 patients, 17.8%). Postoperative complications occurred in 58 (57.4%), after the surgery 34 (33.7%) patients was died: 30 had a thirty-day mortality, and 4 had a ninety-day mortality. In the second group group, 72 (65.5%) patients were treated by percutaneous catheter drainage, 6 (5.5%) by video-assisted retroperitoneal debridement and drainage, 5 (4.5%) by through the wall of the stomach or duodenum in the infected pseudocyst and open necrosectomy was performed on 27 (24.5%) patients. Postoperative complications occurred in 37 (33.6%) patients, after the surgery 19 (17.3%) was died: 15 had a thirty -day mortality and 4 had a ninety-day mortality. In the regression analysis, only the presence of multiple organ dysfunction before (AUC = 0.867) and after surgery (AUC = 0.930) significantly affected postoperative mortality, but the effect of the prevalence of pancreatic necrosis (AUC = 0.693) on mortality was limited. Differences were likely between groups (χ2=7.282, p=0.026). Conclusion. The surgical treatment should be initiated with a minimally invasive procedures and combination these operations with open surgery was able to reduce complications and mortality in the patients with infected acute pancreatitis
