DergiPark: 762676tmsjAims: This study aims to evaluate medical students’ knowledge, thoughts, and awareness of the COVID-19 pandemic. Metho- ds: A questionnaire consisting of 31 questions was prepared for this descriptive study. In the questionnaire, medical students’ knowledge, attitudes and behaviors during the COVID-19 pandemic were investigated. Categorical variables are demonstrated as numbers and percentages, whereas continuous variables are presented as minimum, maximum, and mean values. Results: A total of 575 participants completed the questionnaire. The mean participant age was 21.7 years. Fifty-two percent of participants knew about the coronaviridae family before the outbreak and 38.8% were informed about COVID-19 in their medical schools. Of the students, 99.7% stated that the first case’s origin was in China. Eighty percent of the participants stated that droplet spread is the transmission route of COVID-19. The most common opinion about the incubation period of the SARS CoV-2 was two to twelve days. Being older than 65 years old, having a comorbidity, being immunosuppressed, or working in the healthcare sector were the most particular risk factors to get infected. The majority of the participants follow the vaccine developments from social media, radio and television. According to 75.83% of the participants, all people should wear a mask in daily life for protection. Conclusion: The epidemiology and diagnostic factors of COVID-19 are well known by medical students. To minimize informa- tion pollution and raise awareness, medical students should be educated about pandemic and management of it. Further evalu- ation with various methods and more participants may help to better understand the awareness of the COVID-19 pandemic in medical students

The Kingdom of Pontus ruled over the Black Sea Region from 302 to 64 B.C. and covered a large geographical area. From its foundation until the day it was destroyed, it hosted many cultures in its territory and tried to adapt to cultural changes throughout its history. The aim of this thesis is to examine the kingdom’s material culture in the light of the theoretical approaches to periods of cultural transition and to observe their effects on cultural identities. It also brings a theoretical approach to how social identities change during the process of integration. This study seeks to develop a better understanding of these changes to see if they were voluntary or compulsorily enforced by an intentional policy. Finally, it tries to comprehend how the changes were incrementally implemented into the society.M.S. - Master of Scienc

Changing and evolving technology, increasingly complex, has a great value in many parts of life. It is seen that companies using this technology have taken a big step and companies which are behind this technology are in danger of extinction. Today, the sustainable supply chain has become very necessary to meet the change in customer requirements. Companies need to accelerate their focus on shifting towards sustainability and use technologies such as the internet of things to meet the organization's goal. In this study, supply chain management, internet of things and Industry 4.0 were taken into account. Potential opportunities in the sustainable supply chain were explored using the internet of objects for the Industry 4.0 transformation. These criteria were evaluated for the companies to be ready for the Industry 4.0 transformation and to carry out this transformation. The results were obtained by prioritizing these criteria with analytic hierarchy process and analytical network process methods

The site of Sirkeli Höyük in the province of Adana in modern Turkey is one of the largest settlement mounds in Plain Cilicia. In 2012, a geophysical survey revealed that the ancient settlement was not confined to the höyük, but also encompassed an extensive lower town to the southeast of the main mound. To gain information on the dating and development of this part of the settlement, an excavation area (“Sector F”) was opened at a spot where the magnetometry survey suggested the presence of a city gate. Since then, archaeological work in this area has continuously produced new discoveries that help us understand how this residential area and its inhabitants developed throughout the periods of its occupation. Especially the Iron Age (Neo Cilician period) levels, which cover approximately the 11th–7th centuries B.C., provide important information on how this urban center of the Neo Hittite kingdom Hiyawa/Que changed over time and to which extent historical events impacted the people living in one of its residential areas. This contribution discusses the stratigraphic sequence, the pottery, and the archaeobotanical remains discovered in Sector F during the 2013–2019 campaigns, and concludes with a synthesis of the development in this area from a historical perspective

Guder, Aytac/0000-0002-1190-8749WOS: 000438848100055In this study was to investigate total phenolic contents, 1, 1-Diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH center dot), antimicrobial and antifungal activity by using different extract of Momordica charantia and Rheum ribes. The extraction applied to different part of Momordica charantia as husk and fruit and Rheum ribes as blossom and stem. Three different were used extraction solvent such as hexane, ethanol and water/acetic acid (1%). The highest radical scavenging activity was observed in ethanol extract of rhubarb blossom, acetic acid (1%) extract of rhubarb showed remarkable radical scavenging activity and the highest phenolic content value was observed acetic acid (1%) extracts of bitter melon. The highest antimicrobial efficacy against C. albicans was provided by the ethanol extract of the part of crust of Momordica charantia and acetic acid-water extraction of the blossom of Rheum ribes.Giresun UniversityGiresun University [FEN-BAP-A-160317-45]This study was supported by Giresun University (FEN-BAP-A-160317-45) Scientific Research Project
