Development and Validation of a Remote-Controlled Test Platform for Bicycle Dynamics

Through the electrification of bicycles, the implementation of new active and passive safety systems becomes possible. Examples for such systems are bicycle ABS, TU Delft - Fall Prevention Bicycle, Bosch Help Connect (eCall System for bicycles), airbag helmets and many others. One of the main difficulties in developing and testing such safety systems is, that test riders should not be exposed to high risks when testing early prototypes. Thus, an automated or remote-controlled test platform for the analysis of bicycle dynamics and for testing of newly developed safety systems could boost the development of such systems and make it safer. The main difficulty when developing such a test platform, which has been addressed in this work, is stabilizing it at low speeds (1.5 m/s - 4.5 m/s) and being capable of tracking a desired yaw rate, only using a steer actuator. In the following, the development of such a test platform is described and first experimental results are presented

Nachweis neutraler und quantitativer Varianten des Hämoglobins mit Hilfe der Hybrid-Isoelektrischen Fokussierung

Die Separation der humanen Globinketten bildet eine Schlüsseltechnik für die Untersuchung von Hämoglobinopathien. In der vorliegenden Arbeit galt es, mit einer Methode qualitative und quantitative Globinvarianten in einer großen Stichprobe hessischer Neugeborener nachzuweisen. Die Trennung der Globine aus getrockneten Blutproben hessischer Neugeborener erfolgte durch Hybrid-isoelektrische Fokussierung (HIEF) in Polyacrylamidgelen. Qualitative Varianten der einzelnen Globinketten wurden durch Inspektion und densitometrische Auswertung der angefärbten Proteinbanden identifiziert. Nach oben genannten Kriterien fielen von 4038 mit der HIEF-Methode untersuchten getrockneten Blutproben insgesamt 18 Proben als potentielle Globinvarianten auf. Die Auswertung zeigt, daß die gamma-Globinvarianten den Hauptteil der nachgewiesenen Varianten bilden. Durch die Separation der gamma-Globinketten in Ggamma und Agamma sowie die Auftrennung von Agamma in AgammaI und AgammaT ist der Beweis der Darstellung von elektrisch neutralen Aminosäuresubstitutionen mittels HIEF erbracht worden. In der gesamten Stichprobe des quantitativen Screenings fanden sich 1039 heterozygote Globine für AgammaI und AgammaT. In der statistischen Auswertung wurde der Anteil des AgammaT-Globin am Gesamt-Agamma-Globin errechnet und betrug im Mittelwert 45,9% mit einer Standardabweichung von 3,8%. Bei der statistischen Auswertung waren insgesamt 31 Proben quantitativ auffällig. In Kontrolluntersuchungen waren 21 Proben reproduzierbar. Die vorgestellte HIEF zeigt, daß mit einer Methode sowohl die Darstellung qualitativer und quantitativer Varianten möglich ist. Durch Erkennung von Gendosiseffekten erweitert sich die Diagnostik von den Exons in den Bereich der Introns. Die hohe Anzahl der nachgewiesenen Varianten zeigt die Empfindlichkeit der Methode. Die genaue Zuordnung der potentiellen Varianten, die nicht Gegenstand dieser Arbeit war, ist durch eine angeschlossene DNA-Analyse möglich. Durch Fortentwicklung der Untersuchungstechniken, auch auf molekularer Ebene, ist die HIEF als Screening-Methode jedoch nur bedingt einsetzbar. Sie ist eher als Baustein in der Entwicklung der elektrophoretischen Techniken anzusehen, die mit Proteomics den derzeitigen Höhepunkt erreicht hat

On a procedure to derive ϵ\epsilon-factorised differential equations beyond polylogarithms

In this manuscript, we elaborate on a procedure to derive $\epsilon$-factorised differential equations for multi-scale, multi-loop classes of Feynman integrals that evaluate to special functions beyond multiple polylogarithms. We demonstrate the applicability of our approach to diverse classes of problems, by working out $\epsilon$-factorised differential equations for single- and multi-scale problems of increasing complexity. To start we are reconsidering the well-studied equal-mass two-loop sunrise case, and move then to study other elliptic two-, three- and four-point problems depending on multiple different scales. Finally, we showcase how the same approach allows us to obtain $\epsilon$-factorised differential equations also for Feynman integrals that involve geometries beyond a single elliptic curve.Comment: 52 page

The interest of the business corporation and its protection

Zájem obchodní korporace a jeho ochrana Abstrakt Tato práce se zabývá problematikou zájmu obchodní korporace a snaží se o vytvoření uceleného přehledu, který má čtenáři umožnit seznámit se se základními faktory, které jej utvářejí. Při zachování vazby na českou právní úpravu a rozhodovací praxi soudů tak v základní rovině popisuje obsah zájmu obchodní korporace a poukazuje na právní instituty, které tento obsah dotvářejí i nepřímo. Je tak činěno třemi způsoby, které jsou rozděleny do tří částí práce a které se na sebe snaží navazovat tak, aby byl zřejmý jejich vztah v případě, že spolu zdánlivě nesouvisí. S ohledem na specifika jednotlivých typů obchodních korporací je pak při nastínění základních odlišností a základních rozlišovacích kritérií ponecháno na čtenáři, aby zejména v teoretické rovině druhé a třetí části práce aplikoval závěry vztahující se primárně na kapitálové společnosti přiměřeně i na ostatní typy obchodních korporací. The objectives detailed above are pursued in three ways, each of which is considered in one of the three parts of the thesis. The three parts follow each other sequentially, leading the reader through a comprehensive path to understanding some areas of the law that, at first, might seem unrelated. It sets basic distinguishing criteria for the different types of business corporations. Gesellschaftliche Alterung als Herausforderung für betriebliche Arbeitsmärkte:eine Expertenstudie in ausgewählten Betrieben in der Region Rhein/Ruhr

Die vorliegende Dissertation untersucht, mit welchen betrieblichen Strategien und Konzepten auf den demographischen Wandel und die gesellschaftlichen Alterungsprozesse reagiert werden kann. Die zentrale Frage beschäftigt sich mit den Möglichkeiten, die Unternehmen zur Verfügung stehen, im Rahmen einer generationengerechten Personalentwicklung eine angemessene Antwort auf die demographische Herausforderung zu finden und ihre Wettbewerbsfähigkeit mit alternden Belegschaften aufrechtzuerhalten. Zur Beantwortung dieser Frage werden Handlungsstrategien entwickelt und diskutiert. Aus diesen Strategien wird ein "Integratives Handlungskonzept zur alternsgerechten Personalentwicklung" erarbeitet, das Wege zu einem humanen und ökonomisch sinnvollen Umgang mit den demographischen Herausforderungen aufzeigt. In einer qualitativen empirischen Studie wird das Handlungskonzept anhand von problemzentrierten Experteninterviews mit Praktikern auf seine Akzeptanz und Realisierbarkeit hinterfragt
