Unified Modeling Language extensions for modeling user-oriented, multi-channel access CRM systems

    Get PDF
In the advances of Internet technologies in recent years, Electronic Commerce CRM systems have gained much attention as a major theme for companies to maintain their competitiveness. The research shows that the effective customer relationship management is the major source for customer retention and gaining over new ones. On the other hand, modern technology allows to receive information through different channels (Internet, phone, WAP). Therefore analysts are forced to use faster, more reliable methods for system modeling. The author proposes a new method for modeling Customer Relationship Management systems. The UML new extensions are introduced. The customer-oriented and multichannel access patterns aim at improvement of system modeling with the high level of abstraction. This paper identifies and analyses the main advantages of language additions and compare them to object-oriented modeling with the pure UML patterns

Impact of Mining Activity on Soil Quality and Plant Biodiversity in Senkele Faris, West Shoa Zone, Ethiopia

    Get PDF
Sand and rock mining is an alarming problem for the agricultural land users in Senkelefaris area since it creates long term   negative impact on the environment. The present study focuses the impacts of sand and rock mining on the soil quality and plant biodiversity. The results revealed water retention rate of the soil has reduced in the mined area due to variation in the physical nature of the soil. The percentage composition of sand fraction was significantly high in the mining area with low in organic content, low fertility, due to the  permeable nature. The bulk density was significantly (p<0.05) higher in mined soil which might be a cause for change in soil properties. Though the pH values remains within the permissible limit, the moisture content and cation exchange capacity were significantly (p<0.001) higher in the unmined soil. There were 1340 trees (22 genera and 19 family) in the unmined area whereas in the mined plots have 174 (16 genera and 19 family) were observed. The most dominant species was Olea europaea belongs to the family Oleaceae in both area. The density of shrubs was high (3975) in the un mined area when compared to (231) the mined places. Among shrubs species belonging to the family Apocynaceae were dominant (2082) in the unmined area  and  those of family Rubiaceae (89) in  the mined area. Keywords: Senkelefaris, mining, bulk density, Oleaceae, Apocynaceae, Rubiaceae

Coupling conditions for isothermal gas flow and applications to valves

    Get PDF
We consider an isothermal gas flowing through a straight pipe and study the effects of a two-way electronic valve on the flow. The valve is either open or closed according to the pressure gradient and is assumed to act without any time or reaction delay. We first give a notion of coupling solution for the corresponding Riemann problem; then, we highlight and investigate several important properties for the solver, such as coherence, consistence, continuity on initial data and invariant domains. In particular, the notion of coherence introduced here is new and related to commuting behaviors of valves. We provide explicit conditions on the initial data in order that each of these properties is satisfied. The modeling we propose can be easily extended to a very wide class of valves

THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY AND ORGANIZATIONAL CITIZENSHIP BEHAVIOR IN 5 STARS HOTELS OPERATING IN PETRA CITY

    Get PDF
This study explored the degree to which 5 stars hotels operating in Petra city are considered socially responsible, and the linkage between social responsibility activities of these organizations and the citizenship behavior of employees.A sample of 80 out of 200 employees working at 2 five stars hotels, were surveyed.Four dimensions of social responsibility (the economic, ethical, philanthropic, and the legal) with 5 dimensions of citizenship behavior (Altruism, Curtsey, Sportsmanship, Civic Virtue and conscientiousness) were correlated, the results bring to light the positive association between the examined variables, the strongest relationship was with the legal dimension followed by philanthropic, then with the ethical, and the weakest relationship was with the economic dimension

The authors of this article, conducting the classes using the blended-learning method, focus their interest on the analysis of functionality of the Learning Content Management Systems software class. Architecture of open source distance learning platform Moodle was analyzed. The Author's experience with teaching students and student suggestions allow to present the influence of architectural design on functionality of the software. Facing with growing interests of usage of Moodle in the Polish universities, the authors present some advantages and disadvantages concerning the functional design and possibility of deployment in similar environments. They also suggest a few ways of improving the system architecture and give some clues that could be helpful for the deployers

    Quotient Module of Z-module

    Get PDF
In this article we formalize a quotient module of Z-module and a vector space constructed by the quotient module. We formally prove that for a Z-module V and a prime number p, a quotient module V/pV has the structure of a vector space over Fp. Z-module is necessary for lattice problems, LLL (Lenstra, Lenstra and Lov´asz) base reduction algorithm and cryptographic systems with lattices [14]. Some theorems in this article are described by translating theorems in [20] and [19] into theorems of Z-module.This work was supported by JSPS KAKENHI 22300285.Futa Yuichi - Shinshu University, Nagano, JapanOkazaki Hiroyuki - Shinshu University, Nagano, JapanShidama Yasunari - Shinshu University, Nagano, JapanGrzegorz Bancerek. Get PDF
Security proofs for cryptographic systems are very important. The ultimate objective of our study is to prove the security of cryptographic systems using the Mizar proof checker. In this study, we formalize the probability on a finite and discrete sample space to achieve our aim. Therefore, we introduce a formalization of the probability distribution and prove the correctness of the formalization using the Mizar proof checking system as a formal verification tool.ArticleArtificial Intelligence Research. 2(4):37-48 (2013)journal articl
