Dificultades conceptuales y epistemológicas de futuros profesores de Física y Química en las explicaciones energéticas de fenómenos físicos y químicos

En este trabajo analizamos las dificultades conceptuales y epistemológicas que tienen sobre termoquímica estudiantes universitarios de los últimos cursos de Física, Química e Ingeniería Química. Para ello se han aplicado a una muestra de 35 de estos futuros profesores dos cuestionarios sobre efectos térmicos en fenómenos físicos y químicos que han de explicar y se han categorizado sus respuestas según los razonamientos usados. Se ha constatado que la mayoría de los estudiantes no saben delimitar en el nivel macroscópico los sistemas que interaccionan, no utilizan el concepto de energía interna ni la primera ley de la termodinámica en los procesos físicos y químicos. Muy pocos de estos profesores en formación usan razonamientos de tipo submicroscópico para explicar estos efectos en los cambios físicos y químicos y, cuando lo hacen, la mayoría de sus explicaciones son incorrectas.En aquest treball analitzem les dificultats conceptuals i epistemològiques que tenen sobre termoquímica estudiants universitaris dels últims cursos de Física, Química i Enginyeria Química. Per a això s'han aplicat a una mostra de 35 d'aquests futurs professors dos qüestionaris sobre efectes tèrmics en fenòmens físics i químics que han d'explicar i s'han categoritzat les seves respostes segons els raonaments usats. S'ha constatat que la majoria dels estudiants no saben delimitar en el nivell macroscòpic els sistemes que interaccionen, no utilitzen el concepte d'energia interna ni la primera llei de la termodinàmica en els processos físics i químics. Molt pocs d'aquests professors en formació usen raonaments de tipus submicroscópic per explicar aquests efectes en els canvis físics i químics i, quan ho fan, la majoria de les seves explicacions són incorrectes.In this paper we analyze the conceptual and epistemological difficulties which have on thermochemical the physics, chemistry and chemical engineering students that they are preparing to be teachers of physics and chemistry. It has been applied to a sample of 35 prospective teachers' two questionnaires on thermal effects in physical and chemical phenomena that explain them and we have categorized their responses according to the reasoning used. It has been confirmed that most of the students do not know delimit systems that interact, do not use the concept of internal energy and the first law of thermodynamics in physical processes. Almost none trainee teachers use submicroscopic reasoning to explain these thermal effects in the physical and chemical changes and almost every explanations are incorrect

Expectations and Forward Risk Premium in the Spanish Power Market

To analyse the forward risk premium in the Spanish electricity market, we adopt not only an ex post approach, but also an ex ante. We find that the sign of the ex post forward premium depends on the unexpected variation in demand and on the unexpected variation in the hydro-energy capacity, and that the ex ante forward premium varies with the expected demand in tight market conditions, showing that the participation of forward dealing agents in the Spanish market responds to risk considerations. Moreover, we find support for the implications derived from the Bessembinder & Lemmon (2002) equilibrium model.

¿Clásicos del arte? Sobre la reputación póstuma de los artistas de la época moderna

En aquest estudi s’analitzen les oscil•lacions en el temps de la recepció crítica i la reputació pòstuma de 63 coneguts artistes del segles XVI, XVII y XVIII, amb l’objectiu de veure si el signe d’aquestes fluctuacions o els seus elements constants permeten establir algun tipus de tendència o teoria que ajudi a explicar el fenomen. La informació s’ha extret, bàsicament, de l’antologia d’interpretacions crítiques que s’inclou a cada volum de la col•lecció Classici dell’arte (Rizzoli, Milà), de bibliografía específica sobre els artistes i de grans obres de referència, com The Dictionary of Art (1996) o les diferents edicions del diccionari Bénézit (1920-1999). A continuació es dibuixen uns diagrames que mostren lesoscil•lacions de la reputació dels artistes des de la seva època fins a final del segle XX, alhora que es distribueix el seu tipus i grau d’apreciació en cinc grups diferents. La nostra presumpció bàsica és que, en general, els diagrames indiquin tendències reals, i posin de relleu aspectes que, si només es tinguessin en compte uns pocs artistes, potser passarien desapercebuts. Entre altres fets, es destaquen les connexions entre les oscil•lacions de la reputació i la successió dels estils, així com també les condicions de perdurabilitat, tant pel que fa a la màxima reputació com per la recepció més crítica.This article examines the oscillations of the critical reception and the posthumous reputation of 63 known artists of the sixteenth, seventeenth and eighteen centuries, with the purpose of determinig whether the sign of these fluctuations or of their constant elements permit us to establish some type of tendency or theory which helps to explain such a phenomenon. The information has been taken, basically, from the anthology of critical judgements which are included in each volume of the collection Classici dell’arte (Rizzoli, Milan), as well as from some specific bibliography on the artists and, finally, from large reference works such as The Dictionary of Art (1996), or the different editions of the Bénézit Dictionary (1920-1999).This is followed by some diagrams which show the oscillations of the reputation of the artists from their own time to the end of the twentieth century.The kind and degree of appreciation is distributed into 5 different groups. Our basic assumption is that, in general, the diagrams point out real tendencies, and highlight aspects which, if we took into consideration only a few artists, would perhaps remain unperceived. Among other aspects, we point out the connexions between the oscillations of the artists’ reputation and the succession of their styles, as well as some of the conditions of perdurability, in regard both to their highest reputation and to their most critical reception

Tendencias actuales en la formación del profesorado de ciencias

In the last few years, there has been a significant growth of interest in science teacher education. An analysis of recent science teacher education research is offered in this paper. This study answers the major question: What does research tell us about the recent trends in teacher preparation? We are beginning to understand that in the in-service or preservice training is it very important to know the effects of: a) a limited content knowledge; b) the «commonsense» conceptions, behaviors and attitudes about different aspects of science teaching; c) the need of integration «knowledge-practicev in programs of teacher education and that; d) theses obstacles to didactic knowledge adquisition alone will be overcome when the teachers are placed in a situation wfiich explicitly demands a collective reflection through the research
