    Защитные леса не подразумевают выборочных рубок, но выборочные рубки помогают поддерживать их наиболее эффективно. Так как раньше в Венгрии не было больших площадей регулируемых лесов, система выборочных рубок используется для перевода в эту категорию ранее одновозрастных лесов. Процесс трансформации очень длительный и может занять века. Трансформация лесного участка Sopron 182/B началась в 1937 г. и теперь находится на финальных стадиях. Разнообразно структурированный древостой позволяет нам анализировать процесс в реальном лесу, что может помочь на практике. Обработка данных пока на начальном этапе, и после корректировки позиций появится больше возможностей для применения ГИС-технологи

    Development of a motorized cryovalve for the control of superfluid liquid helium

    Recent advances in the technology of infrared detectors have made possible a wide range of scientific measurements and investigations. One of the requirements for the use of sensitive IR detectors is that the entire instrument be cooled to temperatures approaching absolute zero. The cryogenic cooling system for these instruments is commonly designed as a large dewar containing liquid helium which completely surrounds the apparatus. Thus, there is a need for a remotely controlled, motorized cryovalve that is simple, reliable, and compact and can operate over extended periods of time in cryo-vac conditions. The design, development, and test of a motorized cryovalve with application to a variety of cryogenic systems currently under development is described

    Modeling and investigative studies of Jovian low frequency emissions

    Jovian decametric (DAM) and hectometric (HOM) emissions were first observed over the entire spectrum by the Voyager 1 and 2 flybys of the planet. They display unusual arc-like structures on frequency-versus-time spectrograms. Software for the modeling of the Jovian plasma and magnetic field environment was performed. In addition, an extensive library of programs was developed for the retrieval of Voyager Planetary Radio Astronomy (PRA) data in both the high and low frequency bands from new noise-free, recalibrated data tapes. This software allows the option of retrieving data sorted with respect to particular sub-Io longitudes. This has proven to be invaluable in the analyses of the data. Graphics routines were also developed to display the data on color spectrograms

    Probing the Binary Black Hole Merger Regime with Scalar Perturbations

    We present results obtained by scattering a scalar field off the curved background of a coalescing binary black hole system. A massless scalar field is evolved on a set of fixed backgrounds, each provided by a spatial hypersurface generated numerically during a binary black hole merger. We show that the scalar field scattered from the merger region exhibits quasinormal ringing once a common apparent horizon surrounds the two black holes. This occurs earlier than the onset of the perturbative regime as measured by the start of the quasinormal ringing in the gravitational waveforms. We also use the scalar quasinormal frequencies to associate a mass and a spin with each hypersurface, and observe the compatibility of this measure with the horizon mass and spin computed from the dynamical horizon framework.Comment: 10 Pages and 6 figure

    Classical no-cloning theorem under Liouville dynamics by non-Csisz\'ar f-divergence

    The Csisz\'ar f-divergence, which is a class of information distances, is known to offer a useful tool for analysing the classical counterpart of the cloning operations that are quantum mechanically impossible for the factorized and marginality classical probability distributions under Liouville dynamics. We show that a class of information distances that does not belong to this divergence class also allows for the formulation of a classical analogue of the quantum no-cloning theorem. We address a family of nonlinear Liouville-like equations, and generic distances, to obtain constraints on the corresponding functional forms, associated with the formulation of classical analogue of the no-cloning principle.Comment: 6 pages, revised, published versio

    Final spins from the merger of precessing binary black holes

    The inspiral of binary black holes is governed by gravitational radiation reaction at binary separations r < 1000 M, yet it is too computationally expensive to begin numerical-relativity simulations with initial separations r > 10 M. Fortunately, binary evolution between these separations is well described by post-Newtonian equations of motion. We examine how this post-Newtonian evolution affects the distribution of spin orientations at separations r ~ 10 M where numerical-relativity simulations typically begin. Although isotropic spin distributions at r ~ 1000 M remain isotropic at r ~ 10 M, distributions that are initially partially aligned with the orbital angular momentum can be significantly distorted during the post-Newtonian inspiral. Spin precession tends to align (anti-align) the binary black hole spins with each other if the spin of the more massive black hole is initially partially aligned (anti-aligned) with the orbital angular momentum, thus increasing (decreasing) the average final spin. Spin precession is stronger for comparable-mass binaries, and could produce significant spin alignment before merger for both supermassive and stellar-mass black hole binaries. We also point out that precession induces an intrinsic accuracy limitation (< 0.03 in the dimensionless spin magnitude, < 20 degrees in the direction) in predicting the final spin resulting from the merger of widely separated binaries.Comment: 20 pages, 16 figures, new PN terms, submitted to PR
