Análisis Comparado de las políticas de innovación tecnológica entre Chile y Venezuela (1999-2009)

The work then presents a qualitative investigation in which attempts to understand the behavior of some Latin American governments in relation to the issue of technological innovation and development strategy. This is in addition to the proposal as modern technology to promote development. According to theorists of the successful experience of developed countries could be replicated. It started from the premise that the technical processes which humanity is viewed from the origin of man himself and relate to the accumulation of human knowledge that they intend to solve a problem or doing something tangible or intangible, whereas emerging technology of modern discourse, as a contribution of European expansion, and its use has a background of capitalist development

Experience, post–memory, and intentionality

In the following paper we propose a Semiotic approximation to the concept of postmemory formulated by Hirsch (1997), for which we suggest to examine it amidst other concepts which contribute to outlining its structure. In this sense, postmemory is approached from Semiotic concepts of memory, of experience and of intentionality. Later, the concepts of altered bodies and altered worlds are introduced, contributing to show some processes of incarnation in postmemory. The theoretic discussion is exemplified with two audiovisual texts; La teta asustada (2009), from Claudia Llosa, and the Spanish series Pulsaciones (2016)

Discurso, Isotopía y Neo-Narcisismo: Contribución a una Semiótica del Cuerpo

In this investigation two main subjects are approached. On one part, the discourse related to the body and the most important isotopies which constitute it, as they are expressed in some advertisements. It’s about thrying to see which semiotic and aesthetic strategies facilitate the cosntruction of the contemporary imaginaries of the body cult. In the same way, the concept of stoicism in aesthetic practices that imply the presence of pain, and the concept of hedonism in the search of pleasure are associated as two constitutive, contemporary forms of what we will call neo-narcisism. On the other part, we propose general guidelines of what will constitute the Soemiotics of the body; see as a chapter in the sciences of significations.En esta investigación se abordan dos temas principales. Por un lado, se analiza el discurso sobre el cuerpo y las isotopías más importantes que lo constituyen tal como se expresan en algunos mensajes publicitarios. Se trata de ver cuáles son las estrategias semióticas y estéticas que facilitan la construcción del imaginario contemporáneo sobre el culto al cuerpo. Igualmente, se relacionan los conceptos de estoicismo, en las prácticas estéticas que suponen la presencia del dolor, y hedonismo, en la búsqueda del placer, como dos formas constitutivas, contemporá- neas, de lo que se denominará el neo-narcisismo. Por otro lado, se proponen lineamientos generales de lo que sería una Semiótica del cuerpo, entendida como un capítulo de la ciencia de las significaciones

El efecto mediático en la articulación del tejido social. El caso de Maracaibo, Venezuela

La investigación se planteó el problema de la influencia que ejercen los medios masivos de comunicación en la cohesión social de la sociedad marabina, en Venezuela. Con ese propósito aplicamos un cuestionario a una muestra estratificada que se estructuró a partir de una combinación de criterios socioeconómicos y socioculturales. El estudio consideró indicadores referidos al consumo mediático, a la influencia televisiva, a la presencia de Internet, a las motivaciones para ver TV, a los programas televisivos preferidos, a la cobertura de la telenovela y a los modos y lugares donde se interactúa con la TV. Los resultados de la investigación evidencian, primero, un consumo simbólico comunicacional considerable, que influye en el tejido social que se constituye. En segundo lugar, el comportamiento del usuario frente a los medios masivos, particularmente el elevado consumo televisivo, facilita el cometido mediático. En tercer lugar, la expansión de la oferta y del impacto televisivo no se traduce en un crecimiento, al menos suficiente, de su diversidad y sobre todo de su pluralismo.This study approaches the influence made by the massive media in the social cohesion of the society in Maracaibo, Venezuela. In these terms, we applied a questionnaire to a stratified sample which, was built up out of socio-economic and socio-cultural criteria. This investigation considered indicators referred to the media consuming habits, television influence, internet, the motivation to watch T.V., favorite television programs, the scope of soap operas as well as the places where people interact with television. The results show, first, a quite considerable symbolic communicational consuming habit, which influences the social web. Second, the conduct of the audience before the massive media, the increased television consuming in particular, makes easier the purpose of the media. Third, the expansion of the offering standards as well as the television impact does not implicate a sufficient growth of its diversity and pluralism

Presencia del periodismo cultural y de espectáculo en la prensa zuliana

El reciente desarrollo de la lingüística cognitiva ha postulado nuevas formas deanalizar al lenguaje, pues lo hace a partir del discurso (sobre todo porque a travésde la organización de éste es posible rastrear los procesos cognitivos involucradosdurante su elaboración). Uno de esos procesos cognitivos es la creación de espaciosmentales, que a últimas fechas se ha convertido en un tema recurrente de análisis. Portal motivo, algunos lingüistas han postulado diversos modelos de análisis para tratarde explicar su conformación. Entre dichos modelos, uno de los más importantes esla ‘integración conceptual’. A pesar de que este modelo pudiera parecer totalmenteteórico, es posible aplicarlo a cualquier tipo de discurso. Y para demostrar lo anterior,la presente investigación analiza el objeto discursivo “democracia” en el discursopolítico que utilizó en su campaña el ex-presidente mexicano Vicente Fox Quesada apartir del modelo de integración conceptual proveniente de la lingüística cognitiva

Milk and blood, body and spirit: Meanings of the corporeal in la teta asustada by Claudia Llosa

This work shows the results from a research on the film La teta asustada (2009) by the Peruvian director Claudia Llosa. An innovative approach is proposed for the analysis and interpretation of the film in order to highlight some aspects barely dealt with in the previous bibliography on this topic. We start with a principle stating that the body is an essential element in the semiotization of the world, an aspect extensively and intensively developed in this film. A proposal consisting of five types of corporeity (spatial, temporal, sexual, vegetal and vital) is proposed. They shape a specific sense of corporeity, a concept understood as a set of imageries associated with the body in a specific context and historic time

Stanley Kubrick y la espiral del tiempo

El concepto de tiempo ha suscitado diversos debates y discusiones en diferentes campos del conocimiento, entre ellos, el de la filosofía, que ha intentado conceptualizar y formular teorías que expliquen este fenómeno. La aparición del cine a finales del siglo XIX ha permitido trasladar el debate sobre la naturaleza del tiempo hacia este medio, debido a su capacidad para producir imágenes en movimiento. Cineastas como Stanley Kubrick han intentado trasladar una visión filosófica personal acerca del tiempo en sus films, aportando un material interesante para el análisis. Esta investigación pretende determinar las visiones filosóficas acerca del tiempo en el cine, en este caso en la película El resplandor (The Shining, Kubrick, 1980), largometraje realizado a partir de la adaptación de la novela homónima de Stephen King (2012) que ha significado un hito del género de cine de terror.  Abstract: The concept of time led to debates and discussions in different fields of knowledge, including that of philosophy, which has tried to conceptualize and theorize to explain this phenomenon. The emergence of cinema in the late nineteenth century has allowed to switch the debate on the nature of time in to this medium, because of its ability to produce images in motion. Filmmakers like Stanley Kubrick have tried to portrait a personal philosophical view about the time in his films, providing an interesting material for analysis. This research aims to determine the philosophical views about time in film, in this case in the film The Shining (Stanley Kubrick, 1980), a film made from the adaptation of the novel by Stephen King (2012) that has meant a milestone of the genre of horror.
