    Analysis of the effectiveness of countering doping in sports in the framework of medical and biological support for athletes of national teams

    Objective: analysis of the effectiveness of combating doping in sports in the process of medical and biological support of athletes forming the national teams of the Russian Federation, and determining its ways.Materials and methods: based on the reports of anti-doping organizations for 2017–2022, sociological studies of the prevalence of doping in sports and therapeutic use structures, a retrospective analysis of the dynamics of the main indicators reflecting the directions of various doping encounters was carried out.Results: a significant discrepancy was revealed between the assessment of the prevalence of anti-doping rule violations based on the results of sociological surveys and the results of laboratory anti-doping studies.A significant positive dynamic of approval of therapeutic use exemptions, which allowed doubling the share of positive decisions of anti-doping organizations is shown.The main directions of improving anti-doping work in the process of carrying out medical and biological support measures are determined

    На основе проведенного исследования рассматриваются особенности применения дистанционных технологий в реализации магистерских программ зарубежных университетов-партнеров Томского государственного университета: описываются различные модели организации обучения, структура и функционирование электронной информационно-образовательной среды вуза, подразделений, обеспечивающих применение ИКТ в учебном процессе. Результаты исследования могут быть использованы российскими вузами для разработки механизмов реализации магистерских программ с применением дистанционных технологий и привлечением зарубежных партнеров.The article is based on the research of the use specifics of distance educational technologies in realization of Master’s programs of 14 foreign partner universities of National Research Tomsk State University: there are described various learning organization models, structure and activity of electronic informational and educational environment of the higher education institutions and of the departmentswhich are responsible for ICT implementation in learning process.     The effect of the indium presence on the magnetic properties of soft magnetic cobalt-based alloy during heat treatment (HT) was studied. It was shown that changes in magnetic characteristics were largely due to the impact mechanism of HT. The presence of indium vapors during HT increased the maximum magnetic permeability and changed magneto-optical hysteresis loops

    β2-agonists in sports: prevalence and impact on athletic performance

    Respiratory disorders caused by exercise are expressed in the development of exercise-induced bronchoconstriction (EIB) and exercise-induced asthma (EIA), which are observed in athletes, especially in cyclic sports, much more often than in the population. Ventilation impairments are exacerbated by inhaled allergens, industrial pollutants and adverse environmental conditions, which increase the risk of EIB and asthma symptoms in athletes. The use of β2-agonists can prevent or eliminate ventilation disorders, however, it requires taking into account current anti-doping rules, which allow the use of certain substances in sports without a request for therapeutic use. The studies of the influence of β2-agonists on functional indicators of athletes and sports performance do not allow to make an unambiguous conclusion about its results. Medications with β2-agonists, approved for use in sports in the form of inhalation, do not have a significant effect on the performance of athletes at major sports competitions. At the same time, the systemic use of these substances and the use of any form of terbutaline caused a positive dynamics in functional indicators, which could lead to an illegal increase in the effectiveness of sports performance. Most of the conclusions about the effect of β2-agonists on outcome are based on a small number of studies, their heterogeneity, and an insignificant number of observations. It is necessary to continue studying the effects of β2-agonists in the course of randomized clinical trials in order to individualize therapy and prevent bronchial obstruction in athlete

    Primary thermometry in the intermediate Coulomb blockade regime

    We investigate Coulomb blockade thermometers (CBT) in an intermediate temperature regime, where measurements with enhanced accuracy are possible due to the increased magnitude of the differential conductance dip. Previous theoretical results show that corrections to the half width and to the depth of the measured conductance dip of a sensor are needed, when leaving the regime of weak Coulomb blockade towards lower temperatures. In the present work, we demonstrate experimentally that the temperature range of a CBT sensor can be extended by employing these corrections without compromising the primary nature or the accuracy of the thermometer.Comment: 8 pages, 4 figure

    Učinkovitost Forticept® inovativnog proizvoda u higijeni vimena

    The quality of cow’s milk and the spread of mastitis greatly depend on the level of udder hygiene. Our author’s research was conducted to evaluate the effects of Forticept® Udder Wash and Forticept® Udder Forte, used before and after milking, on the treatment and prevention of subclinical mastitis and hyperkeratosis of cows’ udders. A total of 6880 milk samples were taken from 430 cows, 3-4 years old, 470-490 kg weight, at 60 ± 15 days of lactation. The therapeutic efficacy coefficient (EC) of Forticept® polymers based on benzetonium and benzalkonium chloride, against the subclinical form of mastitis was 73.8% compared to iodine-containing agents; preventive EC - 32.4%. Dipping hygiene of the udder using Forticept® on the 30th day reduced the number of 1-3 stage teat hyperkeratosis cases from 78.8% to 41.3%. Also, during this period, a significant (P<0.05) improvement in the chemical parameters of the milk was observed - an increase in fat (up to 3.94 ± 0.08%), protein (3.35 ± 0.07%), casein (3.15 ± 0.09%) and dry matter (14.91 ± 0.28%). After using Forticept®, the total bacteria count (TBC) of the milk decreased to 3×105 CFU/cm3, and the somatic cell count (SCC) - to 130 thousand/cm3 (P<0.05). Test day milk yield (TDMY) increased by 1.15% due to efficient dipping with Forticept® (P<0.05).Kvaliteta kravljeg mlijeka i prisutnost mastitisa uvelike ovise o razini higijene vimena. Ovo je istraživanje provedeno kako bi se ustanovila učinkovitost proizvoda Forticept® Udder Wash i Forticept® Udder Forte, upotrijebljenih prije i poslije mužnje, na liječenje i prevenciju supkliničkog mastitisa i hiperkeratoze vimena u krava. Ukupno 6880 uzoraka mlijeka uzeto je od 430 krava, dobi 3 – 4 godine, tjelesne mase 470 – 490 kg, 60. ± 15. dan laktacije. Terapeutski koeficijent učinkovitosti (EC) polimera Forticepta®, temeljen na benzetonijevu i benzalkonijevu kloridu, na supklinički oblik mastitisa bio je 73,8 % u usporedbi s tvarima koje sadržavaju jod a preventivni koeficijent učinkovitosti (EC) 32,4 %. Higijena vimena uranjanjem u Forticept® 30. dan smanjila je broj slučajeva hiperkeratoze bradavica 1. – 3. stadija sa 78,8 % na 41,3 %. Također, u tom je razdoblju uočen znakovit napredak (P < 0,05) u kemijskim pokazateljima mlijeka – porast sadržaja masnoće (do 3,94 ± 0,08 %), proteina (3,35 ± 0,07 %), kazeina (3,15 ± 0,09 %) i suhe tvari (14,91 ± 0,28 %). Nakon upotrebe Forticepta® ukupan broj bakterija (TBC) u mlijeku smanjen je na 3×105 CFU/cm3, a broj somatskih stanica (SCC) na 130 000/cm3 (P < 0,05). Dnevni prinos mlijeka (TDMY) porastao je za 1,15 % zahvaljujući učinkovitoj primjeni Forticepta® (P < 0,05)
