The adaptation to the new European Higher Education Area favors the assumption of the new technologies as one of the means that improve the quality of education and the process of student’s learning. The best assimilation of the theoretical and practical contents of the different subjects and the stimulus that the use of these resources for the independent learning of the student supposes, justify the attention lent to the formal aspects of the educational methodology, and to its consequent didactic process. The project that we presented finds its justification in the measures that the University of Cadiz has started up in the occasion of the process of European Convergence, and that are materialized, in this case, in the Call of Educative Innovation of the educational and investigating personnel of the European Project. Our work assumes as main target the optimization of the educational resources, from the possibilities that offer new technical means, with the creation of educational, audio-visual and computerized material, adapted to the contents of the implied subjects, and with a joint work of the teaching staff who allows the creation of a repository of computerized material that has stable character and that can be taken advantage of by the group in its later educational work. In this sense, this contribution tries to show the different lines of performance that the members of the project develop at the present time, and that takes shape in the creation of different resources as the elaboration from presentations in Power Point, the computerization of real samples of speech and the creation of a model that allows to elaborate computerized text commentaries, from hyperlinks and different linksUniversidad de Cádiz, Vicerrectorado de Tecnologías de la Información e Innovación DocenteInted2009 Proceedings C

Spark solutions for discovering fuzzy association rules in Big Data

The research reported in this paper was partially supported the COPKIT project from the 8th Programme Framework (H2020) research and innovation programme (grant agreement No 786687) and from the BIGDATAMED projects with references B-TIC-145-UGR18 and P18-RT-2947.The high computational impact when mining fuzzy association rules grows significantly when managing very large data sets, triggering in many cases a memory overflow error and leading to the experiment failure without its conclusion. It is in these cases when the application of Big Data techniques can help to achieve the experiment completion. Therefore, in this paper several Spark algorithms are proposed to handle with massive fuzzy data and discover interesting association rules. For that, we based on a decomposition of interestingness measures in terms of α-cuts, and we experimentally demonstrate that it is sufficient to consider only 10equidistributed α-cuts in order to mine all significant fuzzy association rules. Additionally, all the proposals are compared and analysed in terms of efficiency and speed up, in several datasets, including a real dataset comprised of sensor measurements from an office building.COPKIT project from the 8th Programme Framework (H2020) research and innovation programme 786687BIGDATAMED projects B-TIC-145-UGR18 P18-RT-294

The research reported in this paper was partially sup- ported by the BIGDATAMED project, which has received funding from the Andalusian Government (Junta de Andalucı ́a) under grant agreement No P18-RT-1765, by Grants PID2021-123960OB-I00 and Grant TED2021-129402B-C21 funded by Ministerio de Ciencia e Innovacio ́n and, by ERDF A way of making Europe and by the European Union NextGenerationEU. In addition, this work has been partially supported by the Ministry of Universities through the EU- funded Margarita Salas programme NextGenerationEU. Funding for open access charge: Universidad de Granada/CBUAThe large amount of data generated every day makes necessary the re-implementation of new methods capable of handle with massive data efficiently. This is the case of Association Rules, an unsupervised data mining tool capable of extracting information in the form of IF-THEN patterns. Although several methods have been proposed for the extraction of frequent itemsets (previous phase before mining association rules) in very large databases, the high computational cost and lack of memory remains a major problem to be solved when processing large data. Therefore, the aim of this paper is three fold: (1) to review existent algorithms for frequent itemset and association rule mining, (2)to develop new efficient frequent itemset Big Data algorithms using distributive computation, as well as a new association rule mining algorithm in Spark, and (3) to compare the proposed algorithms with the existent proposals varying the number of transactions and the number of items. To this purpose, we have used the Spark platform which has been demonstrated to outperform existing distributive algorithmic implementations.Universidad de Granada/CBUAJunta de Andalucia P18-RT-1765Ministry of Science and Innovation, Spain (MICINN) Instituto de Salud Carlos III Spanish Government PID2021-123960OB-I00, TED2021-129402B-C21ERDF A way of making EuropeEuropean Union NextGenerationEUMinistry of Universities through the E

Natural frequencies for bending vibrations of Timoshenko cracked beams

    Get PDF
The natural frequencies for bending vibrations of Timoshenko cracked beams with simple boundary conditions have been obtained. The beam is modelled as two segments connected by two massless springs (one extensional and another one rotational). This model promotes discontinuities in both vertical displacement and rotation due to bending, which are proportional to shear force and bending moment transmitted by the cracked section, respectively. The differential equations for the free bending vibrations are established and then solved individually for each segment with the corresponding boundary conditions and the appropriated compatibility conditions at the cracked section. The problem is also solved by the perturbation method and both procedures are applied to the case of a simply supported cracked beam. The results show that the perturbation method provides simple expressions for the natural frequencies of cracked beams and it gives good results for shallow cracks.Publicad

Neglect and physical child abuse is a significant present in our environment and growing problem, unfortunately . This review examines the characteristics of programs Intervention with Families and Children and the extent to which some of them are effective in treating this population at risk. The results show that we can find some relatively effective programs but still we have to consider many other aspects to reduce physical abuse and neglect (ie , the use of objective assessments of abuse , children in the register of child protection , claims time , need informative feedback ... etc.) . Moreover, the validity and reliability of notifications in a way they're coming determined by notifying awareness and observation skills of the same , therefore , taking into account the importance of them to go the intervention process , there is a need to create a standardized, stay at all institutions, to make it easy and quick notification.peerReviewe

The psycho-oncology is a branch of psychology that is responsible for improving the physical, psychological or emotional well-being , not just the cancer patient but also their family. One of the key issues to be discussed with patients is the adequacy of communication and information about these processes to other family members, especially if we focus on the minor children who live and still rely on parents who have disease. The relevant guidelines and instructions are also useful for other professionals, such as teachers of schools, educators, social workers..., working with children and can be found with this type of case. Cancer is a disease in which the life is in danger, and this has an impact not only for the patient but also in other family members. Thus, the aim of our communication is a brief review of the results of the prevalence, describe different structured treatments available, explain the different studies on the influence and impact this has on children, noting risk factors and protective describe specific indications by stage of development where the children are, and finally give some comments on different orientations of why, what, how and when to report this as stressful as the diagnosis and treatment of cancer circumstancespeerReviewe
