La Interpretación en el Ámbito Policial. Comparación de la Situación en España con la del Reino Unido

Resumen: El número de personas extranjeras que viven en España ha ido aumentando en los últimos años y, con ello, el número de inmigrantes que tienen contacto con la Policía en cualquier circunstancia. Es por esto que la labor de los intérpretes no solo en los servicios públicos en general sino en este caso a nivel policial va en aumento, tanto en España como en muchos otros países.El propósito principal de esta investigación es tratar de conocer la realidad de los intérpretes que trabajan con la Policía: conocer los contextos en los que desarrollan su trabajo, la visión que poseen sobre su propia situación o incluso la de los policías. Abstract: The number of foreign people who are living in Spain has been rising in the last years. Consequently, the number of immigrants who establishes a connection with the police for any reason also increases. This is why the interpreters’ work is increasing not only in the public services in general, but also in the police settings, both in Spain and in many other countries.The main purpose of this research is to try to know the reality of interpreters who work with the Police: knowing the settings where they work, their opinion on their own situation, or even the opinion of the police officers

El mejillón invasor: una actividad didáctica lúdica dentro del marco “ciencia para todos/as”

La versión preprint es subida al repositorio el 20/12/2018, tras la finalización del congreso.III Congreso Virtual Internacional de Educación, Innovación y TIC, EDUNOVATIC2018, 17 a 19 de diciembre de 2018, Madrid (España)En este trabajo se presentan los resultados de una actividad práctica de naturaleza lúdica realizada con alumnado de educación secundaria (4º Educación Secundaria Obligatoria y 1º y 2º Bachillerato), destinada a favorecer la alfabetización científica y a ayudar a crear ciudadanos y ciudadanas responsables y que puedan tomar decisiones fundamentadas sobre diferentes problemáticas medioambientales actuales. En concreto, esta experiencia se centró en el aprendizaje del problema medioambiental y social causado por la proliferación de especies invasoras a escala global. Para ello se ha diseñado una actividad siguiendo los principios del Aprendizaje Basado en Problemas para cuya resolución debían responder a preguntas de niveles cognitivos superiores desempeñando el papel de un gestor de infraestructura afectada. Aunque todos los grupos alcanzaron un alto grado de comprensión de la problemática que entrañan las especies invasoras tras realizar la actividad, el nivel de adecuación / precisión / reflexión de respuesta varió para cada una de las preguntas planteadas, siendo distinto también entre cursos

Análisis económico-financiero del sector servicios de alojamiento turístico de Canarias. 2015-2019

The objective of this study is to know the economic-financial evolution of the Canarian Tourist Accommodation sector during the years 2015-2019. Based on a sample of 263 small and medium-sized enterprises that remained throughout the analysed period, aggregate accounting statements were constructed to which the methodology of the traditional financial analysis was applied. The main results reflect a period of recovery after the exit from the crisis evolving globally in a positive way, with a turning point in 2017, both in terms of profitability and solvency.El objetivo de este trabajo es conocer la evolución económica-financiera del sector de alojamiento turístico canario durante los años 2015-2019. A partir de una muestra conformada por 263 pequeñas y medianas empresas que permanecieron durante todo el periodo analizado, se construyeron estados contables agregados a los que se les aplicó la metodología del análisis financiero tradicional. ZnO synthesis from Zn-C and alkaline spent batteries by alkaline leaching: properties and applications

Basic zinc carbonate Zn5(CO3)2(OH)6 nanoparticles have been successfully synthesized by the leaching of an ammoniacal ammonium carbonate solution of black mass. Zinc oxide (ZnO) were prepared by the thermal decomposition of basic zinc carbonate precursor. Rheological behaviour of submicron mullite-carbon nanofiber suspensions for Atmospheric Plasma Spraying coatings

Mullite is widely used as a structural material for applications like thermal and environmental barriers coatings. For some of these applications, thermal spray is a suitable technique due to its fast production time and versatility. This makes mullite a very interesting coating material for thermal spray industry. In the present work, the viability to produce coatings by thermal spray using mullite-CNFs agglomerated powders is analyzed. The stability of aqueous mullite and mullite-CNFs suspensions was studied in terms of zeta potential and rheological behaviour of concentrated slurries. Slurries were optimized in terms of dispersant concentration and solid content. The optimized suspensions were used for the granules preparation by spray drying technology. The obtained granules were characterized through the determination of particle size distribution and shape factor by field emission scanning electron microscopy and laser scattering. These granules were used to form the coatings by Atmospheric Plasma Spraying which were characterized by evaluating the composition, structure, shape, and thickness
