From the biography of Joaquin Costa, small upper- Aragon farmer, and his prodigious intellectual and working capacity, his main agrarian activities can be described. We continue explaining and offering bibliographical solutions: his work is so extensive and abundant and its edition had so many problems, that news about the possibility of approaching it with methodological guides and critics, and in many cases through the simple facility of the Internet is excellent. In the light of his main works, they are then analysed in terms of law and custom, old and new systems of collectivism and property, social problems of the rural society, common proposals of hydraulic policy, political connections of that agrarian perception, and the present validity of some of his main proposals

Elites y poderes económicos en la España del siglo XX

The historical production on élites and economic power groups in Spain in the last four decades is revisited following the important studies of Manuel Tuñón de Lara. The first third of the 20th century and the Franco’s regime represent a network of political friends and advantageous enrichment, but it becomes much more complex in the democratic era. The knowledge of the State role in the main economic decisions, of the great wealth distribution, of the evolution of major enterprises and of the differential accumulation in some country areas, make possible the evaluation of authentic means of economic power, and also, of the social and the political power, so linked to it.A partir de los importantes estudios de Manuel Tuñón de Lara, se revisa la producción histórica de las cuatro últimas décadas sobre las elites y grupos de poder económico en España. Lo que en el primer tercio del siglo XX y durante el franquismo supone una trama de amigos políticos y lucro ventajoso, se vuelve mucho más complejo en la época democrática. Saber el papel del Estado en las grandes decisiones económicas, la distribución de las grandes riquezas, la evolución de las mayores empresas y la acumulación diferencial en ciertas áreas del país, permite evaluar los auténticos resortes del poder económico y, también, del social y político, a él tan vinculados

Manuel Tuñón de Lara, maestro y amigo

Además de un gran historiador, Tuñón fue un extraordinario maestro y un gran amigo de varias generaciones de españoles dedicados a las ciencias sociales y humanas. Este es el testimonio personal de uno de ellos, representante de un importante grupo aragonés, que siempre se consideró su discípulo y recorrió con él tres décadas de trabajos, esperanzas, proyectos. A su estrecha relación se debe la utilización de una correspondencia que acerca a la figura, no solo profesional sino también humana, del querido profesor. A la vez, se evocan los ya míticos encuentros de Pau, su regreso a España, otros congresos y actividades en su entorno, los homenajes tributados, su muerte y su recuerdo.En plus d’être un grand historien, Tuñón fut un maître extraordinaire et un grand ami de plusieurs générations d’Espagnols spécialistes des sciences sociales et humaines. Cet article est le témoignage personnel de l’un d’entre eux, représentant d’un important groupe aragonais, qui s’est toujours considéré comme son disciple et qui a parcouru avec lui trois décennies de travaux, d’espoir et de projets. On doit à cette relation amicale l’utilisation d’une correspondance qui révèle non seulement la facette professionnelle mais encore la côté humain du cher professeur. Le texte évoque aussi les déjà mythiques Colloques de Pau, le retour de Tuñón en Espagne, d’autres congrès et activités qu’il a suscités, les hommages rendus, sa mort et sa mémoire.Apart from being a great historian, Tuñón was an extraordinary master and a great friend of several generations of Spaniards specialized in social sciences and humanities. This paper is the personal testimony of one of them, who represents an important Aragonese group, who always considered himself as his disciple and went with him during three decades of works, hopes and projects. This close relationship has permitted the use of personal correspondence that allows a better knowledge of the leading figure of the beloved professor Tuñón, not only in professional terms but also in human terms. At the same time, the paper evokes the already mythical meetings of Pau, Tuñón’s return to Spain, other conferences and activities around him, the homages that he received, his death and memory
