Así mismo el conocimiento de cuales son los aparatos que se utilizan para este procedimiento y la forma correcta de utilizarlos

The social importance of the university’s commitment to the promotion of entrepreneurial initiatives as a strategic goal in the transfer of knowledge, the modification of the model of production and an increase in social welfare

[Resumo] O desenvolvemento dunha sociedade baséase na capacidade dos seus membros para detectar oportunidades, emprender e crear novas empresas con ideas innovadoras. O impacto da cultura emprendedora e a creación de empresas no benestar e o progreso social é un feito constatado, polo que a universidade debe asumir o compromiso de fomentar o espírito emprendedor como un obxectivo estratéxico que, ao mesmo tempo sirva como medio para transmitir coñecementos á sociedade. O logro deste obxectivo favorecerá a aparición unha xeración de novos emprendedores provenientes do ámbito universitario que transformarán a estrutura económica e social do país, o que contribuirá ao ansiado cambio de modelo produtivo, á creación de empregos que requiran maior cualificación, á igualdade de oportunidades e á repartición máis equitativa da riqueza.[Abstract] The development of a society is based on the capacity of its members to discover opportunities, to undertake and create new companies with innovative ideas. The impact of entrepreneurial culture and the creation of companies in welfare and social progress is a known fact, and sothe university has to take on a commitment to foster the entrepreneurial spirit as a strategic aim that, at the same time works as a means of transmitting knowledge to society at large. Complying with this aim will favour the appearance of a generation of new entrepreneurs from the university field who will transform the economic and social structure of the country, contributing therefore to a much-neede change in the model of production, in the creation of employment that require higher qualifications, and in the equality of opportunities and a more even distribution of wealth

Normality-based validation for crisp clustering

Unlike methods based on inter-cluster and intra-cluster distances, this index emphasizes the cluster shape by using a high order characterization of its probability distribution. The normality of a cluster is characterized by its negentropy, a standard measure of the distance to normality which evaluates the difference between the cluster's entropy and the entropy of a normal distribution with the same covariance matrix. The definition of the negentropy involves the distribution's differential entropy. However, we show that it is possible to avoid its explicit computation by considering only negentropy increments with respect to the initial data distribution, where all the points are assumed to belong to the same cluster. The resulting negentropy increment validity index only requires the computation of covariance matrices. We have applied the new index to an extensive set of artificial and real problems where it provides, in general, better results than other indices, both with respect to the prediction of the correct number of clusters and to the similarity among the real clusters and those inferred.This work has been partially supported with funds from MEC BFU2006-07902/BFI, CAM S-SEM-0255-2006 and CAM/UAM CCG08-UAM/TIC-442

Modificación de actitudes hacia la actividad física orientada a la salud en 4.º de Primaria

Conociendo los beneficios que aporta la práctica de actividad física a la salud, el objetivo principal de los profesionales de la Educación Física y del campo de la salud no ha de ser otro que conseguir un aumento del número de practicantes de ejercicio físico saludable, e intentar mantener una adhesión positiva a los que ya lo practican. Este estudio trata de modificar las actitudes hacia la actividad física a través de un programa de intervención de dos meses y medio de duración basado en la AFpS (Actividad Física para la Salud) en niños de Primaria. Para la medición de los resultados se ha empleado el cuestionario CATPA (Children’s Attitudes Towards Physical Activity inventory) concluyendo una vez analizados los resultados que tan sólo se han conseguido cambios significativos en la dimensión actitudinal actividad física y riesgo y en varios items de diferentes dimensiones actitudinales tras el programa de intervención

Sabent els beneficis que aporta la pràctica d’activitat física a la salut, l’objectiu principal dels professionals de l’Educació Física i del camp de la salut no ha de ser un altre que aconseguir un augment del nombre de practicants d’exercici físic saludable, i intentar de mantenir una adhesió positiva en aquells que ja el practiquen. Aquest estudi tracta de modificar les actituds cap a l’activitat física mitjançant un programa d’intervenció, de dos mesos i mig de durada, basat en l’AFpS (Activitat Física per a la Salut) en nens de Primària. Per al mesurament dels resultats s’ha fet servir el qüestionari CATPA (Children’s Attitudes Towards Physical Activity inventory); un cop analitzats els resultats es conclou que només s’han aconseguit canvis significatius en la dimensió actitudinal activitat física i risc, i en diversos ítems de diferents dimensions actitudinals després del programa d’intervenció

El gerente y la creación intencionada de valor social en una empresa social

La Empresa Social presenta un escenario novedoso para la acción gerencial en la medida que le exige al gerente la misión de generar valor económico y contribuir la realización integral de las personas involucradas con la organización y, en particular, de sus empleados bajo una lógica no instrumental -- Se estudian las propuestas de la Economía Civil y la Teoría Social Relacional para comprender las condiciones que favorecen la creación de Bienes Relacionales y como éstos, a su vez, contribuyen a la creación de valor social y la generación del Capital Social -- Posteriormente se indaga por la acción intencionada del gerente en la creación de valor social a través de la producción de Bienes Relacionales y se presentan algunos factores claves por medio de los cuales él puede intervenir a través de la cultura organizacional de la Empresa Social para crear un ambiente propicio para tal fin. Se muestra el estudio de caso de la Empresa Social Comunicación Activa Ltda -- Finalmente, se pudo constatar que no es estrictamente necesario renunciar a los sentimientos que mueven nuestras acciones y que, en este caso, se representan con el “corazón”, es preciso, sí, encontrar la racionalidad adecuada que permita materializar de forma responsable los mismos en un ambiente empresaria

Static Analysis of Usefulness States in Transition P systems

Transition P Systems are a parallel and distributed computational model based on the notion of the cellular membrane structure. Each membrane determines a region that encloses a multiset of objects and evolution rules. Transition P Systems evolve through transitions between two consecutive configurations that are determined by the membrane structure and multisets present inside membranes. Moreover, transitions between two consecutive configurations are provided by an exhaustive non-deterministic and parallel application of evolution rules. But, to establish the rules to be applied, it is required the previous calculation of useful, applicable and active rules. Hence, computation of useful evolution rules is critical for the whole evolution process efficiency, because it is performed in parallel inside each membrane in every evolution step. This work defines usefulness states through an exhaustive analysis of the P system for every membrane and for every possible configuration of the membrane structure during the computation. Moreover, this analysis can be done in a static way; therefore membranes only have to check their usefulness states to obtain their set of useful rules during execution

Dual linear/circular polarized plannar antenna with low profile double-layer polarizer of 45º tilted metallic strips for wimax applications

A low profile double-layer polarizer structure is presented for planar patch antennas to obtain circular polarization in 3.5 GHz WiMAX band (3.4-3.6 GHz≈5.7% bandwidth). Each polarizer layer is composed of 45º tilted metallic strips on a printed circuit. A bandwidth widening is obtained due to a significant reduction of the distance between polarizer and patches. The associated effects from the interaction of the two structures have been studied. A 2x2 array prototype has been implemented and measured, with a 8% average bandwidth in reflection and dual linear/circular polarization.This work is supported by Madrid Region Government and the Autonoma University of Madrid, Ref.
