Challenges of Radioactive Beam Facilities - Comparing Solutions at SPIRAL2 and FAIR
ISBN 978-3-95450-132-8International audienceThe SPIRAL2 facility at GANIL will use a high-power p, d and heavy-ion driver to produce RIB though both ISOL and in-flight techniques. The SPIRAL2-injector beam is expected before the end of 2014. The construction of the FAIR facility has started at GSI and the outline of the accelerator complex is well defined. A clear strategy and construction schedule is defined in the framework of the international FAIR collaboration. This talk will give an overviewof the accelerators at both facilities and compare the characteristics and benefits of these two approaches to meet their user needs
Nilai Diagnostik Skin Surface Biopsy pada Skabies di RSUP Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang
Pemeriksaan kerokan kulit memiliki sensitifitas bervariasi tergantung lokasi dan cara pengambilan sampel. Skin surface biopsy merupakan metoda pengambilan sampel kulit non invasif menggunakan lem cyanoacrylat, yang dapat digunakan untuk mendiagnosa skabies Namun nilai diagnostik SSB pada kudis tidak diketahui. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan nilai diagnostik Skin surface biopsy pada skabies di RSUP Dr. Moh. Hoesin Palembang. Penelitian observasional analitik laboratorik dalam bentuk uji diagnostik dengan rancangan potong lintang ini dilakukan dari bulan April sampai Mei 2013. Sebanyak 107 pasien pasien presumtif skabies di Poliklinik IKKK Divisi Dermatologi Infeksi RSUP Dr. Mohammad. Hoesin Palembang yang memenuhi kriteria penerimaan diikutsertakan sebagai subjek penelitian secara consecutive sampling. Semua subjek dievaluasi oleh dermatovenereologist sebagai "gold standard", Skin surface biopsy dan skin scrapings. Sensitifitas (Sn) dan spesifisitas (Sp) SSB adalah 80% dan 58% (area under curve 0,692; positive predictive value 93,8%; negative predictive value 27%; positive likelihood ratio 1,92; negative likelihood ratio 0,34 dan akurasi 77,5%). Sensitifitas (Sn) dan spesifisitas (Sp) KK adalah 43,2% dan 75% (area under curve 0,591; positive predictive value 93%; negative predictive value 14,3%; positive likelihood ratio 1,73; negative likelihood ratio 0,76 dan akurasi 46,7%). Skin surface biopsy merupakan pemeriksaan yang sensitif dan akurat, namun kurang spesifik dibandingkan dengan skin scrapings pada skabies
Improving the Precision of Abstract Interpretation Based Cache Persistence Analysis
When designing hard real-time embedded systems, it is required to estimate the worst-case execution time (WCET) of each task for schedulability analysis. Precise cache persistence analysis can significantly tighten the WCET estimation, especially when the program has many loops. Methods for persistence analysis should safely and precisely classify memory references as persistent. Ex-isting safe approaches suffer from multiple sources of pessimism and may not provide precise results. In this paper, we first identify some sources of pessimism that two recent approaches based on younger set and may analysis may encounter. Then, we propose two methods to eliminate these sources of pessimism. The first method improves the update function of the may analysis-based approach; and the second method integrates the younger set-based and may analysis-based approaches together to further reduce pes-simism. We also prove the two proposed methods are still safe. We evaluate the approaches on a set of benchmarks and observe the number of memory references classified as persistent is increased by the proposed methods. Moreover, we empirically compare the storage space and analysis time used by different methods
Parameter Estimation in Nonlinear Coupled Advection-Diffusion Equation
In this paper a coupled system of two nonlinear advection-diffusion equations is presented. Such systems of equations have been used in mathematical literature to describe the dynamics of contaminant present in groundwater flowing through cracks in a porous rock matrix and getting absorbed into it. An inverse method procedure that approximates infinite-dimensional model parameters is described and convergence results for the parameter approximants are proved. This is finally followed by a computational experiment to compare theoretical and numerical results to verify accuracy of the mathematics analysis presented
