    Menulis bagian dari keterampilan berbahasa yang perlu dilatih sejak dini. Menulis berarti membaca dua kali, karena untuk memperoleh informasi yang berkaitan dengan bentuk tulisan, maka diperlukan kegiatan membaca. Pembalajaran bahasa Indonesia di sekolah dasar yang mengajarkan keterampilan menulis seringkali menemui kendala, diantaranya pembelajaran yang tidak menarik dan terkesan monoton, serta penggunaan media yang minim, sehingga berdampak pada kurang terampilnya penggunaan bahasa Indonesia dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi karena adanya permasalahan dalam pengajaran menulis karangan. Siswa merasa kesulitan saat menemukan gagasan ke dalam bentuk tulisan. Salah satu upaya yang dilakukan adalah dengan menerapkan model concept sentence berbantuan media gambar berseri. Adapun tujuan penelitian ini yaitu (1) mendeskripsikan perencanaan pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model concept sentence berbantuan media gambar berseri dalam menulis karangan deskripsi dan (2) menganalisis peningkatan hasil belajar siswa setelah menerapkan model concept sentence berbantuan media gambar berseri. Subjek dalam dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa dan siswi kelas IV SD Negeri Drangong 1 tahun pelajaran 2014-2015 yang berjumlah 37 siswa, terdiri dari 18 murid laki-laki dan 19 murid perempuan. Penelitian ini mengadaptasi dari model Kemmis dan Mc. Taggart, tahapan pelaksanaanya yaitu perencanaan, observasi, tindakan, dan refleksi. Adapun nilai rata-rata pada siklus I sebesar 64, 97 dan pada siklus II sebesar 80, 54. Berdasarkan data tersebut, keterampilan menulis karangan deskripsi meningkat setelah dilaksanakan dengan menerapkan model concept sentence berbantuan media gambar berseri. Simpulan dari penelitian ini yaitu aktivitas siswa dengan menerapkan model concept sentence berbantuan media gambar berseri terdapat perubahan yang positif, adanya peningkatan yang signifikan pada hasil belajar siswa setiap siklusnya. Berdasarkan temuan tersebut, disarankan bagi guru untuk dapat menerapkan model concept sentence berbantuan media gambar berseri sebagai model pembelajaran yang mampu meningkatkan aktivitas dan keterampilan siswa dalam menulis karangan deskripsi

    Formulation and evaluation of patchouli oil gel for burn wound

    Essential oils of the patchouli leaves (Pogostemon cablin, Benth) was known has the antibacterial effect and could be used to treat the burn. Aim of this study is to formulate patchouli oil into gel dosage form. Patchouli oil was used at three concentrations i.e. 2% (F1), 4% (F2) and 6% (F3). Evaluation of the resulting formulas includes examining its general appearance, homogeneity, skin irritation test, pH and spreadability test. Based on the evaluation data, it was found that gel with 2% patchouli oil was transparent. The greater the concentration of patchouli oil, the more opaque the gel is produced. The other parameters give results that are not different for the three formulas

    Formulation of Eel (Monopterus albus) extract membranes for wound dressing using plasticizers

    The types of wound dressing will affect wound healing processes. The membrane is one of the potential wound dressing that can maintain the moisture of the wound surface. The eel extract as an active ingredient could be added to the membrane formula to accelerate wound healing. This study aimed to formulate eel (Monopterus albus) extract membranes for wound dressing using some plasticizers. Polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) 146,000 was used as the polymer, while glycerol, propylene glycol,and polyethylene glycol (PEG) 400 were used as the plasticizers. Methylparaben and propylparaben were added as preservatives. Evaluations included thickness, water vapor permeability, and mechanical properties of the membranes that consisted oftensile strength, elongation at break, and Young's modulus were performed. The result showed that the use of different types of plasticizers affected the mechanical properties of the eel extract membrane. The formula that used glycerol as the plasticizer produced membranes with the best water vapor permeability and mechanical properties

    Haruan spray (aerosol) dosage form is a new dosage form formulated for use as wound dressing and wound healing. Spray can minimize pain and emotional trauma experience during the application and removal process of conventional dressing and bandages. Haruan extract is incorporated as an active ingredient of the aerosol concentrate for its ability to enhance the healing process. The aim of this study is to evaluate the physical properties of Haruan spray using different propellant. The propellants evaluated were 1,1,1,2 – tetrafluoroethane (HFA 134a), butane and propane. Concentrate of aerosol also contain hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (HPMC) as polymer and glycerine as plasticizer. All ingredients of the aerosol were packaged in an aluminium container fitted with continuous-spray valves. Evaluations for the Haruan spray included delivery rate, delivery amount, pressure, minimum fill, leakage, flammability, spray patterns and particles image. Glass containers were used to study incompatibility between the concentrate and propellant due to the ease of visible inspection. HFA 134a reacted with the concentrate and produced white aggregates, while propane had a very high vapour pressure. From safety and economics point of view, butane was chosen as the propellant because it met the requirements for aerosol and produced Haruan spray with the expected characteristics.Keywords: Aerosols; Haruan; 1,1,1,2 – tetrafluoroethane (HFA 134a); propane; butane; aluminium caniste

    A study on the effectiveness of liposome delivery system of catechin as an antioxidant has been done. Liposome was derived from phosphatidylcholine of egg and cholesterol. The method used to prepared liposome in this research was thin layer hydration method by using rotary evaporator. Liposome was made in 3 formulas with different comparison between phosphatidylcholine and cholesterol. The first formula with ratio of 1:1; second formula with ratio of 1:2 and third formula with a ratio of 2:1. The result found that the observation with SEM seen sperical liposome and some oval liposomes. The level of entrapment efficiency (%EP) obtained on Formula I, II, and III were 24.49%, 24.67%, and 20.06%, respectively. We can conclude that the increase of cholesterol will increase the efficiency of drug entrapment. Test of the effectiveness of antioxidant found formula II was better than formula I and formula III. It can be concluded that the increase of cholesterol was able to improve the formulation and stability of liposome

    The aim of this investigation was a clinical evaluation of the accelerating effect of Monopterus albus extract on the burn wound healing in male Sprague-Dawley rats weighted 200-300. The sample then extracted using wet rendering method using aqua-dest as extractor. This was experimental research with posttest only control group design. The subjects were ten male Sprague-Dawley rats devided into two group (control group 1 and experimental group 2). Every group consist of five rats. Heated metal plat (2cm x 2cm) used to get full thickness burn wound on dorsal rat part. Then, Monopterus albus extract was given to group 2 for 20 days. The results showed that Monopterus albus extract have significant effect (p < 0,05) to wound healing of rat models

Liposom dibuat dari fosfatidilkolin yang berasal dari telur dan kolesterol. Metoda liposom yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metoda hidrasi lapis tipis menggunakan rotary evaporator. Liposom dibuat dalam 3 formula yang memiliki perbandingan berbeda antara fosfatidilkolin dan kolesterol. Formula 1 dengan perbandingan 1:1; formula 2 dengan perbandingan 1:2 dan formula 3 dengan perbandingan 2:1. Dari hasil pengamatan dengan SEM terlihat globul-globul liposom berbentuk bola sferis dan ada juga yang lonjong. Efisiensi penjerapan (% EP) didapatkan formula I sebesar 24,49%, Formula II sebesar 24,67% dan formula III sebesar 20,06%. Disini terlihat bahwa semakin meningkatnya kolesterol yang digunakan akan semakin meningkat pula efisiensi penjerapan obat. Pada uji daya antioksidan pada supernatan didapatkan formula II lebih baik dibandingkan formula I dan formula III, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa semakin besar kolesterol maka formulasi liposom akan lebih bagus dan stabil

    Seksualitas seseorang yang disadari atau tidak menjadi sebuah proses dalam pembentukkan identitas, terutama identitas seksual.Identitas seksual juga diartikan sebagai bagaimana seseorang mengidentifikasi dirinya berkaitan dengan orientasi atau perilaku seksual mereka.Faktor lingkungan yang memiliki pengaruh terhadap perilaku reproduksi pada saat remaja di antaranya adalah faktor keluarga. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk melihat hubungan kelekatan orangtua dengan identitas seksual pada LSL di Kota Solok. Desain penelitian adalah deskriptif analitik dengan pendekatan cross sectional study. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah seseorang dengan LSL yang diambil dengan teknik total sampling dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 48 responden. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan kuesioner IPPA dan LGBIS, dan analisa data menggunakan uji spearman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ada hubungan yang bermakna antara kelekatan ibu dengan identitas seksual pada LSL dengan p = 0.028, dan tidak ada hubungan yang bermakna antara kelekatan ayah dengan identitas seksual pada LSL.Sesuai hasil penelitian ini diharapkan kepada petugas pelayanan kesehatan untuk melakukan kunjungan rumah pada penderita LSL dengan memberikan pendidikan kesehatan agar perilaku seksual sesuai dengan seharusnya.
