Absolute Energy Calibration of X-ray TESs with 0.04 eV Uncertainty at 6.4 keV in a Hadron-Beam Environment
A performance evaluation of superconducting transition-edge sensors (TESs) in
the environment of a pion beam line at a particle accelerator is presented.
Averaged across the 209 functioning sensors in the array, the achieved energy
resolution is 5.2 eV FWHM at Co (6.9 keV) when the pion beam is
off and 7.3 eV at a beam rate of 1.45 MHz. Absolute energy uncertainty of
0.04 eV is demonstrated for Fe (6.4 keV) with in-situ energy
calibration obtained from other nearby known x-ray lines. To achieve this small
uncertainty, it is essential to consider the non-Gaussian energy response of
the TESs and thermal cross-talk pile-up effects due to charged-particle hits in

Search for decays with semileptonic tagging at Belle
We present the results of a search for the rare decays , where stands for and . The results are
obtained with pairs collected with the Belle
detector at the KEKB collider. We reconstruct one meson in a
semileptonic decay and require a single meson but nothing else on the
signal side. We observe no significant signal and set upper limits on the
branching fractions. The limits set on the , , , ,
, and channels

Observation of a new charged charmoniumlike state in B -> J/psi K pi decays
We present the results of an amplitude analysis of anti-B0 -> J/psi K- pi+
decays. A new charged charmoniumlike state Zc(4200)+ decaying to J/psi pi+ is
observed with a significance of 6.2 sigma. The mass and width of the Zc(4200)+
are 4196 +31-29 +17-13 MeV/c^2 and 370 +70-70 +70-132 MeV, respectively; the
preferred assignment of the quantum numbers is J^P = 1^+. In addition, we find
evidence for Zc(4430)+ -> J/psi pi+. The analysis is based on a 711 fb^-1 data
sample collected by the Belle detector at the asymmetric-energy e+ e- collider

Measurement of the lepton polarization and in the decay with one-prong hadronic decays at Belle
With the full data sample of pairs recorded by
the Belle detector at the KEKB electron-positron collider, the decay is studied with the hadronic
decays and . The polarization in two-body hadronic
decays is measured, as well as the ratio of the branching fractions , where
denotes an electron or a muon. Our results, and , are consistent with the theoretical

agreement with the theoretical predictions as well as with a recent measurement
from LHCb. We observe no statistically significant signal for the decay
and set a confidence-level upper
limit on its branching fraction at . This constitutes a

Longitudinal double-spin asymmetry and cross section for inclusive neutral pion production at midrapidity in polarized proton collisions at sqrt(s) = 200 GeV
We report a measurement of the longitudinal double-spin asymmetry A_LL and
the differential cross section for inclusive Pi0 production at midrapidity in
polarized proton collisions at sqrt(s) = 200 GeV. The cross section was
measured over a transverse momentum range of 1 < p_T < 17 GeV/c and found to be
in good agreement with a next-to-leading order perturbative QCD calculation.
The longitudinal double-spin asymmetry was measured in the range of 3.7 < p_T <
11 GeV/c and excludes a maximal positive gluon polarization in the proton. The
mean transverse momentum fraction of Pi0's in their parent jets was found to be

Inclusive charged hadron elliptic flow in Au + Au collisions at = 7.7 - 39 GeV
A systematic study is presented for centrality, transverse momentum ()
and pseudorapidity () dependence of the inclusive charged hadron elliptic
flow () at midrapidity() in Au+Au collisions at
= 7.7, 11.5, 19.6, 27 and 39 GeV. The results obtained with
different methods, including correlations with the event plane reconstructed in
a region separated by a large pseudorapidity gap and 4-particle cumulants
(), are presented in order to investigate non-flow correlations and
fluctuations. We observe that the difference between and
is smaller at the lower collision energies. Values of , scaled by
the initial coordinate space eccentricity, , as a function
of are larger in more central collisions, suggesting stronger collective
flow develops in more central collisions, similar to the results at higher
collision energies. These results are compared to measurements at higher
energies at the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider ( = 62.4 and 200
GeV) and at the Large Hadron Collider (Pb + Pb collisions at =
2.76 TeV). The values for fixed rise with increasing collision
energy within the range studied (). A comparison to
viscous hydrodynamic simulations is made to potentially help understand the
energy dependence of . We also compare the results to UrQMD
and AMPT transport model calculations, and physics implications on the
dominance of partonic versus hadronic phases in the system created at Beam
