[EU] Medioetan agertu izan da Aralar, baina ikuspegi jakin bat landu izan dute. Alde horretatik, Aralar, mundua leku den lurra izan daiteke salbuespena. Gainerakoan, artzaintza, pisten eraikuntza, balio naturala edota mendizaletasuna bezalako gaiak jorratzera mugatu dira, batak bestearekin duen erlazioa aztertu gabe. Hori izan daiteke nire lanaren berritasuna. Izenburuak dioen moduan, parke naturalaren balio eta interes anitzak zein euren arteko loturak azaltzea du helburu.___ Beste berezitasun bat bertatik bertara egindako behaketa da. Aralarrera igo eta bertan ikusi eta sentitutakoak idatziz islatzen saiatu naiz. Erreportajeak ikuspegi orokorra du nagusiki, baina gai bakoitza jorratzen den heinean fokua gerturatzen saiatu naiz istorio pertsonalak eta mendian ikusitakoak zein sentitutakoak tartekatuz. Elkarrizketak ere helburu horixe du, artzainak esandakoaz gain, bere bizimodua, izaera eta sentipenak transmititzea; finean, kutsu pertsonala ematea, lana humanizatzea

One of the contexts where persons with non-normative affective-sexual orientation suffer more discrimination, violence and rejection, is the school context. Empirical evidence verifies that this harassment, suffered in the past, may leave an important imprint on the psychological well-being of these subjects. The present study had as its first objective to analyze if lesbians, gays and bisexuals (LGB) who suffered a stressful event in childhood and/or adolescence, such as having been the victim of school harassment on account of affective-sexual orientation, show negative consequences in their psychological well-being. The results, obtained from 119 LGB subjects, suggest that bullying suffered in childhood and/or adolescence affects the subjects’ psychological well-being of today and, specifically, depression and anxiety levels, self-esteem and affective balance. Along with these factors, the instrumentality and expressiveness dimensions of gender identity can also be factors which may influence psychological well-being.

As systems evolve, their embedded software needs constantly to be refactored. Moreover, given the different needs of different customers, embedded systems require to be customizable. The variability of these systems is large, and requires automated testing solutions. In this paper we propose a methodology that automatically generates validation environments for highly configurable embedded software that is being refactored. The method has allowed for systematically testing a real-world industrial case study involving the software in charge of controlling the doors of an elevator. Finally, we extract the lessons learned from its application

Spectrum-based fault localization in software product lines

    Get PDF
Context: Software Product Line (SPL) testing is challenging mainly due to the potentially huge number of products under test. Most of the research on this field focuses on making testing affordable by selecting a representative subset of products to be tested. However, once the tests are executed and some failures revealed, debugging is a cumbersome and time consuming task due to difficulty to localize and isolate the faulty features in the SPL. Objective: This paper presents a debugging approach for the localization of bugs in SPLs. Method: The proposed approach works in two steps. First, the features of the SPL are ranked according to their suspiciousness (i.e., likelihood of being faulty) using spectrum-based localization techniques. Then, a novel fault isolation approach is used to generate valid products of minimum size containing the most suspicious features, helping to isolate the cause of failures. Results: For the evaluation of our approach, we compared ten suspiciousness techniques on nine SPLs of different sizes. The results reveal that three of the techniques (Tarantula, Kulcynski2 and Ample2) stand out over the rest, showing a stable performance with different types of faults and product suite sizes. By using these metrics, faults were localized by examining between 0.1% and 14.4% of the feature sets. Conclusion: Our results show that the proposed approach is effective at locating bugs in SPLs, serving as a helpful complement for the numerous approaches for testing SPLs.Ministerio de Economía y Competitividad TIN2015-70560-R (BELI)Junta de Andalucía P12-TIC-1867 (COPAS

Research experimental platforms to study microgrids issues

    Get PDF
Microgrid (MG) concept is becoming increasingly mature. It allows integrating better distributed generation, and especially renewable energy sources, in the grid. However, many issues have still to be resolved before implementing this concept in the real power system extensively. This paper presents first a review of the main issues associated to microgrids dealt with in the scientific literature. The different issues are classified and some examples of carried out studies are given for each issue. Then, a short review of existing experimental microgrids is done. They are classified in small-size and real-size experimental MGs. After that, the EneR-GEA experimental MG or platform of ESTIA Engineering School is presented, describing its different components. Then, some carried out experiments are explained. To finish, the main planned projects at short and medium term related to this platform are given

Lactide and Ethylene Brassylate-Based Thermoplastic Elastomers and Their Nanocomposites with Carbon Nanotubes: Synthesis, Mechanical Properties and Interaction with Astrocytes

    Get PDF
Polylactide (PLA) is among the most commonly used polymers for biomedical applications thanks to its biodegradability and cytocompatibility. However, its inherent stiffness and brittleness are clearly inappropriate for the regeneration of soft tissues (e.g., neural tissue), which demands biomaterials with soft and elastomeric behavior capable of resembling the mechanical properties of the native tissue. In this work, both L- and D,L-lactide were copolymerized with ethylene brassylate, a macrolactone that represents a promising alternative to previously studied comonomers (e.g., caprolactone) due to its natural origin. The resulting copolymers showed an elastomeric behavior characterized by relatively low Young’s modulus, high elongation at break and high strain recovery capacity. The thermoplastic nature of the resulting copolymers allows the incorporation of nanofillers (i.e., carbon nanotubes) that further enable the modulation of their mechanical properties. Additionally, nanostructured scaffolds were easily fabricated through a thermo-pressing process with the aid of a commercially available silicon stamp, providing geometrical cues for the adhesion and elongation of cells representative of the nervous system (i.e., astrocytes). Accordingly, the lactide and ethylene brassylate-based copolymers synthesized herein represent an interesting formulation for the development of polymeric scaffolds intended to be used in the regeneration of soft tissues, thanks to their adjustable mechanical properties, thermoplastic nature and observed cytocompatibility.Grant PID2019-106236GB-I00 funded by MCIN/AEI/10.13039/501100011033. Level of Physical Activity, Sedentary Behavior, and Sleep in the Child and Adolescent Population in the Autonomous Community of the Basque Country (6-17 Years Old): Protocol for the Mugikertu Study.

    Get PDF
[EN] BACKGROUND: Physical inactivity and sedentary behavior are increasingly common problems in the general population, which can lead to overweight, obesity, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and decreased motor and cognitive capacity among children and adolescents. Establishing healthy habits in childhood on the basis of the World Health Organization's 2020 Physical Activity Guidelines is essential for proper physical, motor, and cognitive development. OBJECTIVE: The primary aim of this study is to describe the level of physical activity (PA), sedentary behavior, and sleep of the child and adolescent population from 6 to 17 years of age in the Basque Autonomous Community (BAC). Our secondary aim is to establish a starting point for future research and intervention protocols to improve the existing reality. METHODS: This cross-sectional study aims to recruit 1111 children and adolescents, aged 6 to 17 years from the BAC in a representative random sample. Participants will wear the ActiGraph WGT3X-BT triaxial accelerometer for 7 consecutive days in their nondominant wrist, and fill out a habit diary log of PA, mobility, and sleep routine. PA intensities, sedentary behavior, and sleep parameters (total bedtime, total sleep time, and sleep efficiency) will be calculated from raw accelerometer data using SPSS (IBM Corp). Participants will be randomly selected. RESULTS: The results of this study intend to demonstrate significant differences in PA levels in different age and gender groups since the volume of school PA in the BAC decreases as the age of the schoolchildren increases. The total study sample includes 1111 participants. In April 2021, up to 50% of the sample size was reached, which is expected to increase to 100% by April 2022. This sample will allow us to analyze, discuss, compare, and assess the reality of the school population, in a sensitive period of adherence to behavior patterns, using data from the geographical and administrative area of the BAC. This study will provide a realistic insight into PA levels among children and adolescents in the BAC. It will also offer scientific contributions on the positive relationship between PA levels and sleep quality in this population. CONCLUSIONS: This study might highlight the need for the promotion of cross-sectional policies so that children and adolescents may increase their levels of PA, thus improving both the school environment and positive healthy behavior. This study has been performed with the support of the Basque government and all the centers. In addition, we express our gratitude to all the children, adolescents, and their families who have and will participate in the study
