Some reflections on the orientations and volume of accounting history research in the 21st century.

Este artículo toma como punto de partida el 8th World Congress of Accounting Historians e intenta identificar las orientaciones que la investigación en historia de la contabilidad ha seguido desde entonces, es decir, desde el año 2000 hasta el 2007, los primeros años del siglo XX. El principal propósito de este ensayo es averiguar si ha habido novedades significativas en las direcciones de la investigación o, si por el contrario, su desarrollo ha seguido el curso previsible. Trataremos de asociar este propósito al estudio del volumen de la investigación publicada a este respecto en las principales revistas de contabilidad. Después de haber examinado y descrito la evolución de la historia de la contabilidad en estos primeros años del presente siglo, presentaremos algunas consideraciones personales acerca de los derroteros en que la investigación podría moverse en el próximo futuro. Taking as starting point the 8th World Congress of Accounting Historians this paper attempts to identify the orientations followed by accounting history research in the first years of the 21st century, that is, from 2000 up to 2007. The main purpose of the attempt is to find out whether there have been significant novelties in the directions of research or, on the contrary, its development has run in the foreseeable course. We shall try to associate this purpose to the study of the amount of related research published in the main accounting journals. After having examined and described the developments of accounting history research in the first years of present century, the paper presents some considerations on the directions in which research should move in the next future.Historia de la contabilidad, investigación, tendencias, siglo XXI. Boccaccio y Cervantes : posibles fuentes italianas de La cueva de Salamanca

A partir del Decameron como arquetipo narrativo, sugiero delimitar un «corpus» de relatos sobre el empleo de la magia en la burla matrimonial para enfocar motivos, personajes-tipo, técnicas compositivas y recursos expresivos que, desde el libro de Boccaccio, la narrativa y el teatro del Renacimiento difundieron a nuestra literatura. Se pretende con ello replantear el tema de las fuentes italianas del entremés La cueva de Salamanca para valorar mejor, también desde posibles modelos italianos, la profunda innovación del texto cervantino y el trasfondo ideológico que la anima.From considering the Decameron a narrative archetype, I suggest setting up the boundaries of a corpus of accounts about the use of magics in the marriage mockery in order to focus on motives, characters, types, composition techniques and expressive resources which, from the book written by Boccaccio, the narrative and the drama of the Renaissance spread in our literature. The purpose of this is to reopen once again the theme of the Italian sources in the entremés La cueva de Salamanca in order to better improve -even from possible Italian models-, the deep innovation of the Cervantes' text and the ideological background behind it

En manuscritos importantes y en algunas ediciones del Decameron se ilustra con toda precisión el viaje de ida y vuelta que cumplen los jóvenes del marco, un viaje ordenado, honesto, en busca de la esencia del hombre, un proyecto humanista de vida que sale en defensa de la función positiva, regeneradora, de la literatura de evasión.In several important manuscripts and in some editions of the Decameron the departure and return journey accomplished by the young gentlmen and ladies of the narrative framework is illustrated with great precision. It is an ordered, controlled and honest journey, in search of the essential nature of man; a project of human life which defends the positive and regenerating function of the escapist literature, advocated by Boccaccio from a surprisingly modern point of view
