    Renewal FSES GSE of Social Sciences Education

    Цель статьи - рассмотреть особенности преподавания обществознания в старших классах согласно новому Федеральному государственному образовательному стандарту (ФГОС СОО). Автор конкретизирует отдельные положения концепции преподавания предмета для обучающихся среднего общего образования, базовые принципы и направления совершенствования обучения компетенциям, учитывая психологические характеристики школьников, обеспечивающие формирование системных знаний с целью помочь молодым специалистам при внедрении ФГОС СОО нового поколения в образовательных учреждениях.The aim of this paper is to consider Social Sciences teaching according to the new generation of the Federal State Educational Standard of the main general education (FSES of GSE). The author concretizes statements of the teaching concepts each taken separately, analyzes ways for basic competencies improvement, considering psychological characteristics of high school students which can guarantee systematic knowledge, in order to help young specialists to put in practice the updated FSES GSE at state high schools

    Individual personality traits as predictors of intra-organizational vertical career growth of employees

    The paper is devoted to the research on the influence of individual personality traits on the success of intra-organizational vertical career growth of employees, the indicator of which is the promotion of employees in their position (status) in the organization, taking into account their speed of passing the career levels. The article analyzes the types of career, criteria and factors of career growth, including personality characteristics in the context of their influence on career processes. The article presents the results of an empirical study of the managers of JSC Concern Energomera, Stavropol (Russia), which determined the relationship between the success rate of intra-organizational vertical career growth and individual personality characteristics, manifested in the level of mental tension (anxiety, suspicion, inclination to risk, spontaneity and emotional sensitivity) and expressiveness. The authors did not find statistically significant contribution of regulatory properties and indicators of general mental abilities to distinguishing groups of employees with high and low indicators of vertical career growth. The averaged personal profiles of employees with high and low indicators of vertical career growth are presented.peer-reviewe

    Use of a recombinant human follicle-stimulating hormone:recombinant human luteinizing hormone (r-hFSH:r-hLH) 2:1 combination for controlled ovarian stimulation during assisted reproductive technology treatment: A real-world study of routine practice in the Russian Federation

    Two observational studies in the Russian Federation described patient demographics/clinical decision for treatment with recombinant human follicle-stimulating hormone:recombinant human luteinizing hormone (r-hFSH:r-hLH) 2:1 combination for ovarian stimulation (OS) during assisted reproductive technology (ART) and outcomes, respectively. The first (prospective) study enrolled 500 patients. After post-hoc regrouping to assign patients to discrete groups, 378 (75.6%) met the local Russian label for an r-hFSH:r-hLH 2:1 combination, 105 (21%) were treated according to other physician preference, and 17 (3.4%) met only the ESHRE Bologna criteria for a poor ovarian response. The clinical pregnancy rate per cycle was 30.4%. A total of 158/175 (90.3%) women achieving clinical pregnancy in the prospective study participated in the second (retrospective) study. The live birth rate per cycle was 25.8%. No new safety concerns were reported. These results support the use of the r-hFSH:r-hLH 2:1 combination in patients with a poor/suboptimal response to OS for ART treatment in the Russian Federation

    Efficiency of <i>in vitro</i> culture techniques applied to soybean (<i>Glycine max (L.) Merr.</i>) accessions from the VIR collection

    Using a wide range of modern biotechnologies and genetic techniques to study plant germplasm accessions held by VIR makes it possible to procure valuable results, required for the development of new high-yielding cultivars adapted to adverse environmental conditions and possessing specified technological properties, particularly to identify and mark new genes and alleles useful for plant breeding. This research trend is in line with Presidential Decree No. 680 “Concerning the development of genetic technologies in the Russian Federation”. Soybean is among the key crops in agricultural production, but the use of next-generation breeding tools to obtain new soybean cultivars with desired properties is still limited. Successful application of novel methods also requires new approaches to studying soybean accessions, specifically their ability to regenerate and produce calluses for subsequent inclusion in biotechnological programs.Ten soybean accessions of various origin, contrasting in ripening schedules, were selected to study the possibility of effective introduction into in vitro culture and further assessment of their ability to produce calluses and regenerate in in vitro culture. The work included evaluating the effects of different seed sterilization techniques (one-step sterilization, using a commercial bleach, and two-step one, combining the impacts of a chlorine-containing preparation and hydrogen peroxide), types of explants (epicotyls, hypocotyls, cotyledon nodes, and cotyledon leaf segments), and phytohormone composition of nutrient medium: (1) MS + 1.13 mg/L BAP + 0.5 mg/L HA, and (2) MS +1 mg/L BAP + 0.1 mg/L IAA).The assessment results showed that the option of two-step seed sterilization was the most effective for soybean at the stage of in vitro culture initiation, while hypocotyls, epicotyls, and cotyledon nodes had the highest callus formation ability in both types of nutrient media

    Surgical treatment in the scope of laparoscopic gastric bypass for morbid obesity and type 2 diabetes mellitus (DM 2) with careful preoperative preparation, a gradual expansion of the diet with the obligatory observance of the recommendations of a nutritionist on the balance of micro- and macronutrients, a gradual increase in the amount of available physical activity in the postoperative period allows not only significantly reduce body weight, but also achieve compensation for obesity-related diseases. The expected development of micro- and macronutrient deficiencies requires an active search for and compensation for these conditions both at the pre- and postoperative stages. The development of postbariatric hypoglycemia confirms the need to comply with dietary recommendations not only at the stage of conservative treatment of obesity and DM 2, but also, no less important, after bariatric surgery

    The obesity epidemic has led to the growing number of bariatric operations and the expansion of indications for this operation as the most effective method of treatment, that’s why endocrinologists are increasingly faced the challenge of late complications, including postbariatric hypoglycemia. Postbariatric hypoglycemia is a rare but severe metabolic disorder that occurs months or years after upper gastrointestinal surgery. Postbariatric hypoglycemia can be accompanied by severe clinical symptoms and lead to disability and decreasing of the life’s quality. It is difficult to assess the prevalence of hypoglycemia after bariatric surgery due to the lack of clear diagnostic criteria, often a hidden clinical picture and ignorance of doctors and patients about this complication. Hypoglycemia in this case has postprandial and hyperinsulinemic nature. The mechanisms of development of this complication have recently been actively discussed. The exchange of incretins and dysregulation of insulin secretion are the subject of constant research in this area. Understanding the mechanisms of development of this condition makes it possible to develop optimal methods of diagnosis and treatment. The issues of pathophysiology, basic principles of diagnosis and treatment of post-bariatric hypoglycemia will be considered in this review
