    Compreender o estranho: métodos reconstrutivos das Ciências Socais, no Serviço Social, na Alemanha

    Como podemos compreender os destinatários e as destinatárias do Serviço Social em seus mundos da vida? Como podemos interpretar adequadamente seus desejos, sonhos, suas situações individuais de vida, os potenciais de sua biografia e também as feridas de sua vida e o sentido específico de seus mundos culturais? Como fazer justiça às suas obstinações sem instrumentalizá-los juntamente com seus mundos subjetivos, sem idealizar aquilo que nos parece estranho neles, que talvez não nos agrade, que nos inquieta e amedronta? Por trás destas perguntas, num primeiro momento, muito concretas e voltadas à práxis, ocultam-se discussões decisivas para o Serviço Social na Alemanha, não apenas sobre seus métodos, mas também sobre sua identidade profissional, seu lugar como disciplina, seu posicionamento sociopolítico e as possibilidades da formação superior. Nestas discussões, jogam um papel importante as metodologias das ciências sociais, métodos compreensivos, assim como relatos etnográficos e entrevistas narrativas, que são analisadas hermeneuticamente em seminários de ensino-aprendizagem do curs

    Auf der Basis von narrativen, biographisch angelegten Interviews wird den berufsorientierten Deutungsmustern, Handlungsplänen und dem fachlichen Wissen von sozialpädagogischen Akteuren nachgespürt, die in Handlungsfeldern der außerschulischen Kinder- und Jugendarbeit tätig sind. Der Ertrag einer qualitativ orientierten empirischen Analyse der beruflichen Habitualisierung von Pädagoginnen und Pädagogen mit den unterschiedlichsten Profilen wird exemplarisch über eine Fallrekonstruktion verdeutlicht. Als ein Ergebnis wird festgehalten, daß die in der außerschulischen Kinder- und Jugendarbeit Tätigen in der Regel bei der Herstellung einer "professionellen Praxis" ihren biographischen Ressourcen mehr vertrauen als der Ausbuchstabierung einer wissenschaftlich abgestützten Fachlichkeit. (DIPF/Text übernommen)On the basis of narrative, biographical interviews, the authors analyze the job-oriented interpretative patterns, plans of action, and professional knowledge of socio-pedagogical actors working with children and adolescents out of school. The results of the qualitatively oriented empirical analysis of the professional habitualization of pedagogues with diverse profiles are exemplified by means of a case reconstruction. The authors come to the conclusion that, in the construction of a "professional practice", those working with children and adolescents out of school usually rely more on their own biographical ressources than on academic professional knowledge.     A Purity Monitoring System for the H1 Liquid Argon Calorimeter

    The ionization probes used for monitoring the liquid argon purity in the H1 calorimeter are described and results of their operation in tests at CERN and during the period 1992 to the end of 1998 at HERA are given. The high sensitivity of the charge measurements leads to refined charge collection models, and to the observation of a variation of the ionization yield of our electron sources with temperature.Comment: 26 pages, 14 figure

    Evidence for long-range glycosyl transfer reactions in the gas phase

    AbstractA long-range glycosyl transfer reaction was observed in the collision-induced dissociation Fourier transform (CID FT) mass spectra of benzylamine-labeled and 9-aminofluorene-labeled lacto-N-fucopentaose I (LNFP I) and lacto-N-difucohexaose I (LNDFH I). The transfer reaction was observed for the protonated molecules but not for the sodiated molecules. The long-range glycosyl transfer reaction involved preferentially one of the two L-fucose units in labeled LNDFH I. CID experiments with labeled LNFP I and labeled LNFP II determined the fucose with the greatest propensity for migration. Further experiments were performed to determine the final destination of the migrating fucose. Molecular modeling supported the experiments and reaction mechanisms are proposed
