THE WEDDING BANQUET AND THE SOCIAL-SYMBOLIC CHANGES AFFECTING WOMEN IN THE VALENCIAN COMMUNITY

El banquete nupcial forma parte del rito de paso matrimonial. Esta comida extraordinaria constituye un buen observatorio de los cambios simbólico-sociales que atañen a las mujeres. En una sociedad más igualitaria como la actual, la autonomía, el nuevo protagonismo y reconocimiento de las mujeres quedan expuestos sobre esta mesa nupcial, en la que se señalan referencias y roles, y en la que aparecen, también, las discrepancias. El rito tratará de amortiguar la zozobra del cambio. Esta investigación presenta un estudio comparativo entre los diferentes banquetes nupciales a lo largo del siglo XX y principios del siglo XXI en la Comunitat Valenciana, y el papel representado por la mujer en ellos.The wedding feast forms part of the marriage rite of passage. This extraordinary meal constitutes a good observatory of the socio-symbolic changes affecting women. In our current, more egalitarian society, the autonomy, new prominence and recognition of women are revealed at the wedding table, in which models and roles are determined and discrepancies also appear. Fabrication and characterization of nanostructured organic and hybrid solar cells by spray coating techniques

[SPA] Actualmente, debido al aumento de población existe una necesidad urgente de reestructurar el modelo energético del planeta para mantener un sistema sostenible. Las energías renovables son una gran apuesta para abordar este problema. La energía solar como la energía más abundante y, en particular, la fotovoltaica, es una de las mejores opciones como solución. La fotovoltaica orgánica (OPV), dentro de las diferentes tecnologías fotovoltaicas está sujeta a estudio gracias a su bajo coste de fabricación, su bajo impacto al medio ambiente y su flexibilidad para ser fabricada por múltiples métodos. En este trabajo se han fabricado dispositivos OPV depositando cada una de las capas mediante las diferentes técnicas de impresión, especial foco en la técnica de spray coating, que permite una producción a nivel industrial y una mayor reproducibilidad. Estos resultados obtenidos en la fabricación y caracterización de dispositivos fotovoltaicos orgánicos, utilizando la técnica del spray para las diferentes capas; Permiten comprobar los parámetros de funcionamiento. Todos estos procesos, a excepción de la evaporación de la plata en la campana de vacío, se han llevado a cabo en condiciones ambientales normales, sin salas blancas ni atmosfera inerte, lo que conduce a un proceso de fabricación más real y orientado a la industria. [ENG] Currently, due to the increase in population there is an urgent need to restructure the energy model of the planet to maintain a sustainable system. Renewable energy are a great bet to address this. Solar energy as the most abundant and in particular, photovoltaic energy, is one of the best choices as a solution. The organic photovoltaic (OPV), within the different photovoltaic technologies is subject to study thanks to its low manufacturing cost, its low impact to the environment and its flexibility to be manufactured by multiple methods. In this work, OPV devices have been manufactured by depositing each of the layers by means of the different printing techniques, special focus in spray coating, which allows an industrial level production and a greater reproducibility. These results obtained in the manufacture and characterization of organic photovoltaic devices, using the spray technique for the different layers; allow checking the operating parameters. The Influence of African Epic on "Muko ou la trahison d’un héros"

La herencia de la tradición oral africana es evidente en la producción literaria contemporánea del continente vecino. La poesía y la novela suponen a menudo un regreso a los orígenes, a los temas, a los motivos y a los estilos de los contadores populares. Este artículo pretende analizar cómo la novela congoleña Muko ou la trahison d’un héros imita parámetros épicos tradicionales africanos. La comparación de Muko con los héroes de diferentes epopeyas puede permitirnos constatar grandes semejanzas entre ellos y ayudarnos a comprender a este personaje novelesco, su comportamiento, su lógica y sus acciones.L’héritage de la tradition orale africaine est évident dans la production littéraire du continent voisin. La poésie et le roman représentent souvent un retour aux sources, aux thèmes, motifs et styles des conteurs populaires. Le but de cet article est de prouver que le roman congolais Muko ou la trahison d’un héros imite des paramètres épiques traditionnels africains. Le rapprochement entre Muko et les héros de plusieurs épopées peut permettre de constater d’importantes similitudes et de mieux comprendre ce personnage romanesque, son comportement, sa logique et ses actions.The legacy of African oral tradition is evident in African poetry and novels, which often present a return to the origins, the topics, the subjects and the styles of popular storytellers. This article aims at showing that the Congolese novel, Muko ou la Trahison d’un héros, imitates African traditional epic parameters. The comparison between Muko and the heroes of different epics allows to confirm their great resemblance and to understand this character, his behavior, his logic and his actions

Multiple Order Dual-Band Active Ring Filters with Composite Right/Left Handed Cells

In this paper, a novel dual-band active filter topology is presented. The non-linear phase response of a composite right/left-handed cell is used to achieve the desired dual-band performance. Additionally, the proposed structure based on coupled ring resonators yields a very compact solution in which high-order implementations can be easily obtained by cascading multiple rings. The theoretical principles of this type of filters are analyzed in detail. Finally, three prototypes based on first-, second- and third-order structures validate the feasibility of this type of filters. Good agreement between simulations and measurements has been achieved

El educador musical como agente de transfromación social

Los acontecimientos ocurridos durante siglos de historia dan cuenta de la influencia que ha tenido la música en los distintos escenarios de la vida del hombre, específicamente en el contexto político y social, donde el arte de los sonidos ha sido utilizado como elemento de aglutinación de masas y como símbolo de identificación de algunos movimientos sociales. Estos hechos muestran evidencias del efecto mental y emocional que ejerce la música en el individuo. Considerando estos supuestos, en el presente trabajo de base documental, se intenta develar la importancia que tiene el educador musical en la sociedad como elemento de transformación social a través de su praxis pedagógica, pues se presume, que este docente puede generar cambios sociales a través de la enseñanza y la práctica musical. Para ello, se hace un análisis reflexivo de algunos documentos teóricos científicos que aportan evidencias para pensar sobre la importancia que tiene la música en la conducta de las personas y de cómo este arte ha influido en el desarrollo y transformación de la sociedad y el mundo, en consecuencia se devela el papel que juega el educador musical al contar con tan poderoso instrumento de formación.Throughout centuries, the events that had happened in history, tell us about the influence of music in the different scenarios of human life, specifically in the political and social context, in which the art of sound has been used as a binding element to unite the masses, and as an identifying symbol for some social movements. These facts show evidence of the mental and emotional effects that music has on the individuals. Given these assumptions, this work, based on evidence, tries to uncover the importance of the musical educator in society, as an element of social transformation using their pedagogical praxis, taking into account the presumption that teachers can generate social change through musical teaching and musical practice. In order to obtain these results, the analysis of some theoretical papers have been done, papers which provide scientific elements that help realizing the importance of music in people’s behavior, and how this art has influenced the development and transformation of the world and society, consequently, the role of the musical educator who manages such powerful teaching tool, is revealed.Fil: Vicente Eduardo Herrada. Unit of Committed Action: A proposal for a solution for the university problem of providing a service to the society

The three traditionally assumed functions of the university (teaching, research, and knowledge transfer) have been suffering problems of mismatching (applications with different directions for each function), imbalance (some functions being more relevant than others), and of orientation (difficulties orienting work towards a service to society). Currently, market orientation clashes with 3covers university activity in its three commitments, thereby generating specific problems. This document analyses this situation and proposes Units of Committed Action as a contribution towards the set of solution strategies that are being generated to guide the university towards the service of common good, adjust the three commitments, and to foment a balance in each of their weights. The Units of Committed Action work along the same lines as Participatory Action Research and those of Service Learning, whose particularities are also addressed here. Finally, a specific application is presented in a neighbourhood catalogued as a zone in need of social transformation.Las tres funciones tradicionalmente asumidas de la universidad (docencia, investigación y extensión) han venido sufriendo problemas de desajuste (concreciones con direcciones distintas para cada función), desequilibrio (mayor relevancia de unas funciones sobre otras) y orientación (dificultades para orientar el trabajo hacia el servicio a la sociedad). En estos momentos, la orientación economicista baña la actividad universitaria en sus tres cometidos, generando algunos problemas específicos. Este documento analiza esta situación y propone las Unidades de Acción Comprometida como una aportación al conjunto de estrategias de solución que se están generando para orientar la universidad al servicio del bien común, ajustar los tres cometidos en ese sentido y fomentar un equilibrio entre el peso de cada uno de ellos. Las Unidades de Acción Comprometidas trabajan en la misma línea que los modelos de Investigación- Acción Participativa y de Aprendizaje-Servicio, cuyas particularidades son también abordadas. Finalmente, se expone una aplicación concreta en un barrio de la ciudad catalogado como zona necesitada de transformación social

Noise Figure Measurement of Differential Amplifiers Using non-Ideal Baluns

This paper analyzes the noise and gain measurement of microwave differential amplifiers using two passive baluns. A general model of the baluns is considered, including potential losses and phase/amplitude unbalances. This analysis allows de-embedding the actual gain and noise performance of the isolated amplifier by using single-ended measurements of the cascaded system and baluns. Finally, measured results from two amplifier prototypes are used to validate the theoretical principles
