Studies evaluating the attitudes of teachers towards the practice of mainstreaming education are very limited. The main purpose of this research is to examine the perspectives of pre-school teachers regarding the practice of mainstreaming education. It investigates teachers’ thoughts on integration education, challenges encountered in this area and their possible solutions, how integration education practices affect students with normal development, and the acceptance of integration students by their normal development peers. As a general survey, this study uses the maximum diversity model, which is an objective sampling method. The study group comprises 20 pre-school teachers working in Yenişehir district of Mersin center in Turkey. Researchers specializing in this field of expertise collected data using 10 personal information questionnaires, 9 interview forms consisting of open-ended questions about integration education, and a personal information form. Teachers generally took 10-15 minutes to answer the questions on the interview form, and the data were analyzed in terms of the answers given. The teachers who participated in the study reported that the mainstreaming students who were special needs were found to be beneficial (70%), they were positive towards the mainstreaming students (31.4%), and the normal developmental students developed cooperation skills and supportive emotions (30.8%). Some 39.1% reported solving the difficulties they experienced by establishing school-family-child cooperation abilities (47.4%) and that physical environments had to be corrected first (26.1%) in order to increase the effectiveness of cohesion education practices. In addition, empathy studies and preparation of children with special needs and normal development were important in terms of acceptance of integration students (33.3%), preparation of Individualized Education Program (PEP) by teachers' attention to children's readiness level (44.4%) while preparing Individualized Education Program (52.2%) of the respondents. Keywords: Preschool, special needs, inclusio

This study aimed to examine the views and practices of preschool teachers about learning centres. Following this purpose, 36 preschool teachers who work in Mersin are examined. The research was carried out with phenomenology which is one of the qualitative research methods. In the research, the data were collected by semi-structured interview technique. The researchers utilised "Personal Data Form" and "Learning Centres Interview Form" prepared by receiving experts' opinions to collect data in the research. The findings obtained from individual interviews with teachers were analysed with the descriptive analysis technique. In the direction of the views of the teachers, it was concluded that the teachers have different learning centres in their classrooms, majority of the teachers find the learning centres sufficient, the range of the materials in some learning centres is insufficient. Besides, the learning centres preferred by the children was the most dramatic play centre. It was concluded that preschool teachers need support for the organisation and use of the learning centres. It was suggested that the teachers plan how the families can participate by encouraging them and getting support from the families and the institution while providing the materials. Therefore, the teachers support the children's development through different learning centres instead of a single learning centre. The teachers participate in in-service training to interact with children in learning centres.  Article visualizations

An organelle-specific protein landscape identifies novel diseases and molecular mechanisms

Contains fulltext : 158967.pdf (publisher's version ) (Open Access)Cellular organelles provide opportunities to relate biological mechanisms to disease. Here we use affinity proteomics, genetics and cell biology to interrogate cilia: poorly understood organelles, where defects cause genetic diseases. Two hundred and seventeen tagged human ciliary proteins create a final landscape of 1,319 proteins, 4,905 interactions and 52 complexes. Reverse tagging, repetition of purifications and statistical analyses, produce a high-resolution network that reveals organelle-specific interactions and complexes not apparent in larger studies, and links vesicle transport, the cytoskeleton, signalling and ubiquitination to ciliary signalling and proteostasis. We observe sub-complexes in exocyst and intraflagellar transport complexes, which we validate biochemically, and by probing structurally predicted, disruptive, genetic variants from ciliary disease patients. The landscape suggests other genetic diseases could be ciliary including 3M syndrome. We show that 3M genes are involved in ciliogenesis, and that patient fibroblasts lack cilia. Overall, this organelle-specific targeting strategy shows considerable promise for Systems Medicine

Çalışmada; üç ekmeklik buğday çeşidinde (Adana-99, Gemini ve Özkan) farklı ekim sıklıklarının (300,500,700 ve 900 tohum/m2) m2’de bitki sayısı, m2’de sap sayısı, m2’de başak sayısı, başaklanma süresi, başaklanma-erme süresi, bitki boyu, başak uzunluğu, başakta başakçık sayısı, başakta tane sayısı, başakta tane ağırlığı, bin tane ağırlığı, hektolitre ağırlığı ve tane verimi yönünden etkilerinin incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. İncelenen özelliklerde; m2’de bitki sayısı, m2’de sap sayısı, m2’de başak sayısı, başaklanma-erme süresi, bitki boyu ve tane verimi artarken; başak uzunluğu, başakta başakçık sayısı, başakta tane sayısı, başakta tane ağırlığı ve bin tane ağırlığı azalmış, başaklanma süresi ve hektolitre ağırlığında değişim olmamıştır. Ayrıca denemede kullanılan çeşitlerde, tesadüfi olarak seçilen on adet bitkinin ana sap ve fertil kardeşleri ayrı ayrı işaretlenmiş olup bitki boyu, başak uzunluğu, başakta başakçık sayısı, başakta tane sayısı, başakta tane ağırlığı ve bitki verimi yönünden karşılaştırılması amaçlanmıştır. Denemede kullanılan çeşitlerin; bitki boyu, başak uzunluğu, başakta başakçık sayısı, başakta tane sayısı, başakta tane ağırlığı yönünden ilk sırayı ana sap, ikinci sırayı 1. kardeşler, üçüncü sırayı 2. kardeşler ve dördüncü sırayı 3. kardeşler almıştır. Ekim sıklığı arttıkça bitki verimi yönünden azalma görülmüştür.This study was carried out in experimental field of Field Crops Department of Faculty of Agriculture in Cukurova University in randomized split blocks design with three replications in 2016-2017 growing season. The study aims to investigate the effects of different sowing densities(300, 500, 700 and 900 seed/m²) in terms of plant count per m², stem count per m², spike count per m², heading duration, heading-maturity period, plant height, spikelet count per spike, grain count per spike, grain weight per spike, thousand grain weight, hectoliter weight and grain yield in three cultivars of bread wheat (Adana-99, Gemini and Özkan). In the studied characteristics while heading duration and hectoliter weight didn’t change, spike height, spikelet count per spike, grain count per spike, grain weight per spike and thousand grain weight decreased as plant count per m², stem count per m², spike count per m², heading-maturity period, plant height and grain yield increased. With the cultivars that were used in the research, it was also aimed to compare the plant height, spike height, spikelet count per spike, grain count per spike, grain weight per spike and plant yield by separately marking the main stem and fertile tillers of the randomly selected ten plant. Within the experimented cultivars it has been seen that the main stem took the 1st place while first tillers took the 2nd, second tillers took the 3rd and third tillerstook the 4th place regarding the plant height, spike height, spikelet count per spike, grain count per spike and grain weight per spike. It has been seen that plant yield decreased as sowing density increased

Abstract-This paper presents Matlab-SIMULINK based real time temperature control of oven designed as an experiment set using different kinds of auto-tuning PID (Proportional-Integral-Derivative) methods. Ziegler Nichols Step Response Method (P,PI), Relay Tuning Method (P,PI) and Integral Square Time Error (ISTE) disturbance criterion (PI) method are used to control temperature of the experiment set. These methods are simulated using Matlab-SIMULINK software to define the controller parameters first. Afterwards, simulations are realized using these parameters. Finally, real time temperature control of the experiment set is implemented using the same parameters. And the results are discussed
