The development of a corrector for low-frequency variations in the star image at the input of ESPriF, the echelle spectropolarimeter of the BTA primary focus, is reported. The Role of Pensioners in the American Electorate

The article examines fundamental demographic changes in the USA that have been shifting the electorate and as a result - American politics; with wide gaps between the generations on key social, economic, political issues. The US presidential elections since 1980 were dominated by baby boomers (born 1946-1964) and prior generations, who have cast the vast majority of votes in every presidential election. The 2016 electorate has been the most diverse in the US history due to strong growth of young generations, and especially among Hispanic eligible voters. Millennials (born 1981–1998) and X generation (born 1965-1980) surpassed Baby Boomers and more old generations whose choices differ significantly in many fields; but the key problem is who really votes. They presented the results of qualitative and quantitative indicator study concerning the motor activity of schoolchildren of both sexes, obtained by using individual wearable devices-fitness trackers. It was found that 8.2% of students, regardless of gender and age, are characterized by low values ​​of this indicator; 3.4% demonstrate high values ​​of the indicator relative to the hygiene norm.Se presentan los resultados del estudio de indicadores cualitativos y cuantitativos sobre la actividad motora de escolares de ambos sexos, obtenidos mediante el uso de dispositivos portátiles individuales: rastreadores de estado físico. Posibilităţile moderne şi particularităţile de organizare a depistării şi diagnosticării tuberculozei organelor respiratorii în Republica Moldova şi peste hotare (revista literaturii)

Summary. Up-to-date possibilities and peculiarities in organizing and diagnosis of the Respiratory tract tubersulosis in the Republic of Moldova and in the foreign countries. The summary presents certain new materials on tuberculosis detecting diagnosis and verifying the diagnosis of the national and international authors. It was demonstrated that in these certain epidemiological circumstances this problem is very complicated. There are described the basic diagnosis methods and the organizing forms of the pulmonary tuberculosis detection. A special attention was to the changes that take place in the system of detecting the patients with tuberculosis and up-to-date peculiarities of the diagnosis process. It was shown that the modern diagnosis of the respiratory tract tuberculosis still remairs a difficult clinical problem.Резюме. Современные возможности и особенности организации выявления и диагностики туберкулеза органов дыхания в Р. Молдова и в зарубежных странах. В статье представлены обобщенные новые материалы по выявлению, диагностике туберкулеза и верификации диагноза отечественных и зарубежных авторов. Показано, что в сложившейся эпидемиологической обстановке эта проблема является наиболее острой. Описаны основные диагностические методы и организационные формы выявления туберкулеза легких. Обращено внимание на происходящие изменения в системе выявления больных туберкулезом и на современные особенности диагностического процесса. Отмечено, что современная диагностика туберкулеза органов дыхания остается непростой клинической проблемой

Experimental study of an advanced concept of moderate-resolution holographic spectrographs

We present the results of an experimental study of an advanced moderate-resolution spectrograph based on a cascade of narrow-band holographic gratings. The main goal of the project is to achieve a moderately high spectral resolution with R up to5000 simultaneously in the 4300–6800 Å visible spectral range on a single standard CCD, together with an increased throughput. The experimental study consisted of (1) resolution and image quality tests performed using the solar spectrum, and (2) a total throughput test performed for a number of wavelengths using a calibrated lab monochromator. The measured spectral resolving power reaches values over R>4000 while the experimental throughput is as high as 55%, which agrees well with the modeling results. Comparing the obtained characteristics of the spectrograph under consideration with the best existing spectrographs, we conclude that the used concept can be considered as a very competitive and cheap alternative to the existing spectrographs of the given class. We propose several astrophysical applications for the instrument and discuss the prospect of creating its full-scale version
