Purpose: The article presents an economic and legal analysis of the terms of contracts for international delivery of goods involving Russian suppliers. Design/Methodology/Approach: The authors analysed the international norms of regulating relations for the goods’ delivery involving the foreign element. Terms of the goods delivery are investigated according to the national legislation of the Russian Federation. Findings: As a result, it is necessary to use an economic and legal approach when developing contract terms for the goods’ delivery to take into account norms of international law, the national legislation of the supplier country and in accordance with the calculations of the contract price and payment terms. Practical Implications: The proposed method is in accordance with the international legal framework and it can be adopted by the Russian Federation easily. Originality/Value: There is no such an approach eligible to modernize the existing system in the country.peer-reviewe

The authors introduce and discuss a theory that looks at a contemporary Russian society as a community rapidly losing skills necessary for successful cross-cultural communication which entails not only the ability to communicate in the international space, but also knowledge related to cultural characteristics, national traditions, customs and history of different nations that is essential in building a cognitive basis for developing respectful relations to other national cultures and their representatives. It is the knowledge and understanding of other nation’s features and culture that forms the basis for developing the culture of interethnic dialogue. The purpose of the paper is to distinguish the factors that contributed to the destruction of the interethnic communication culture and tolerance crisis in the modern multiethnic space society. It is closely connected with a task of determining the conditions that could bring to the regeneration of interethnic communication as it is now considered the most important strategy for ensuring civilizational security. The polyphonic approach to study interethnic communication problems has been used as in a study to provide insights for the variable and subjective understanding of this phenomenon from the point of view of its integrity, versatility, variability, consistency, equivalence and equality of all the components of this phenomenon items. The authors have identified a number of factors that influence intensively the degradation process in interethnic communication. These factors include the destruction of a single international ideology, growth of national extremism, lack of effective national policy of the Russian state and the monoethnization in the national republics of Russia. The authors introduce their view on the principles of regeneration of the interethnic dialogue culture which imply the need for knowledge and understanding of traditions related to interethnic communication participants, understanding and improving relationships between ethnic groups, equality of the parties of communication, recognition of equal rights and obligations within the borders of the common civilization, a system of institutions involved in the reproduction process and ensuring its effectiveness. © 2019, Slovenska Vzdelavacia Obstaravacia. The location of Airy-0, the Mars prime meridian reference, from stereo photogrammetric processing of THEMIS IR imaging and digital elevation data

The small crater Airy-0 was selected from Mariner 9 images to be the reference for the Mars prime meridian. Initial analyses in the year 2000 tied Viking Orbiter and Mars Orbiter Camera images of Airy-0 to the evolving Mars Orbiter Laser Altimeter global digital terrain model to update the location of Airy-0. Based upon this tie and radiometric tracking of landers/rovers from Earth, new expressions for the Mars spin axis direction, spin rate, and prime meridian epoch value were produced to define the orientation of the Martian surface in inertial space over time. Since the Mars Global Surveyor mission and Mars Orbiter Laser Altimeter global digital terrain model were completed some time ago, a more exhaustive study has been performed to determine the accuracy of the Airy-0 location and orientation of Mars at the standard epoch. Thermal Emission Imaging System (THEMIS) IR image cubes of the Airy and Gale crater regions were tied to the global terrain grid using precision stereo photogrammetric image processing techniques. The Airy-0 location was determined to be about 0.001° east of its predicted location using the currently defined International Astronomical Union (IAU) prime meridian location. Information on this new location and how it was derived will be provided to the NASA Mars Exploration Program Geodesy and Cartography Working Group for their assessment. This NASA group will make a recommendation to the IAU Working Group on Cartographic Coordinates and Rotational Elements to update the expression for the Mars spin axis direction, spin rate, and prime meridian location

Engaging the audience through videography as performance

    Get PDF
The audience is an important part of videography, but its role tends to be seen as passive and unengaged. The audience’s experience is often guided in videography, with intended reaction made clear. Yet such an approach to the audience does not make use of the possibilities of videography for inciting active interaction and incorporating multiple interpretations. Previous research has suggested that videography has potential for interventional influence on audiences by taking on the performative turn in research. Developing more deeply the notions of performance and performativity in the context of videography, this paper proposes that one way to activate audiences, interact directly with them and engage them in meaning-making is to approach videography as performance. To provide practical suggestions for creating such performance, the paper contextualises videography as a recording medium, thus establishing its ontological position and ties to other media

Исследование фазового состава Cu-содержащего катализатора в процессах очистки метанол-содержащей водной фракции и конверсии СО

The paper describes a study on the formation of CuO/ZnO/Al2O3 at synthesis and calcination. The effect of crystallinity of copper and zinc oxides depending on the thermolysis temperature is shown. Data on activity and stability in the reactions of CO conversion and water-methanol fraction purification from of CH3OH are given. It is assumed that the precursor of the active state (in addition to the bulk phase fine CuO) is caused by the presence of isolated Cu2+ cations and clusters of copper (CuO)x in various oxide compounds. The obtained results are used in the development of catalysts for the purification of water-methanol mixture from CH3OH and steam conversion of CO.

Culinary communication practices:The role of retail spaces in producing field-specific cultural capital

    Get PDF
Purpose: This chapter explores the practices underpinning the production of field-specific cultural capital at festivals, understood here as retail spaces that gather a plethora of distinct market actors. Methodology/Approach: This research presents evidence from an ethnographic study employing an interpretative paradigm and multiple data collection processes. The empirical research has been undertaken in the context of food festivals associated with the foodie taste regime. Findings: Three categories of practices that play a role in the production of field-specific cultural capital, namely representational, exchange, and experiential practices, are presented. Practical Implications: Our chapter provides recommendations for food festival organizers and participants who need to improve their practices when facing challenges such as increasing international competition and costs or declining sponsorship. Research Limitations/Implications: This chapter contributes to the growing body of field-level market analysis by showing how practices enabled by complex retail spaces contribute to the production of field-specific cultural capital. However, this chapter is limited by its focus on food festivals. Originality/Value of the Paper: This chapter theorizes how practices enable the acceleration and diversification of field-specific capital exchange, as well as its integration with other forms of capital
