    Przedsiębiorczość w edukacji inżynierów – doświadczenia i plany w zakresie edukacji „ku przedsiębiorczości” studentów Politechniki Gdańskiej

    We współczesnych uwarunkowaniach społeczno-ekonomicznych przedsiębiorczość jednostki postrzega się jako podstawę do osiągania przez nią sukcesu osobistego i zawodowego. Tymczasem polski system edukacji wydaje się nie dostrzegać ważności szeroko pojętego kształcenia ekonomicznego (ku przedsiębiorczości). Brakuje go w programach kształcenia. Obowiązkowa edukacja w zakresie przedsiębiorczości odbywa się tylko na poziomie szkoły średniej (poziom 3 - ISCED 2011). Na poziomie wyższym zarezerwowana jest niemal wyłącznie dla studentów kierunków biznesowych (Studenci ostatniego roku, 2010). To władze instytucji edukacyjnych (uczelni) decydują (i szukają źródeł finansowania) o włączaniu do programów kształcenia kursów (zajęć) z zakresu przedsiębiorczości. Głównym celem artykułu jest przedstawienie doświadczeń Politechniki Gdańskiej w tworzeniu kompleksowego modelu wsparcia rozwoju wiedzy, umiejętności i zachowań przedsiębiorczych studentów - przyszłych inżynierów. Autorki przedstawiły również metody nauczania wykorzystywane w ramach przedmiotów z zakresu przedsiębiorczości dedykowanych studentom kierunków inżynierskich. Pogłębioną analizę zakresu merytorycznego, stosowanych metod nauczania i spodziewanych wyników (umiejętności nabywanych przez studentów) przeprowadzono dla trzech wybranych kursów przedsiębiorczości prowadzonych na różnych wydziałach uczelni.Entrepreneurship as behavioural trait is identified as one of the determinants of achieving personal and professional success. Meanwhile, the Polish education system seems to omit the economic (entrepreneurial) education in its obligatory educational programs. The mandatory education in entrepreneurship takes place only at the upper secondary education (level 3 - ISCED 2011). At the tertiary education it is reserved almost exclusively for business studies (Studenci ostatniego roku, 2010). It is up to the authorities of educational institutions - on each level of education - to decide (and find finances) to include courses of entrepreneurship into basic educational programs. The main aim of the paper is to present the Gdansk University of Technology experiences in establishing the complex model of building up students’ entrepreneurial attitudes, including entrepreneurship teaching programs and curricula dedicated to future engineers. The authors also presented teaching methods (good practices) used in entre-preneurship courses for engineers and the list of competencies that students acquire through these type of classes. In-depth analysis of the substantive scope, teaching methods and the results (skills acquired by students) was performed for three selected courses of entrepreneurship realised by three different faculties

    Impact of COVID-19 on the performance of a radiation oncology department at a major comprehensive cancer centre in Poland during the first ten weeks of the epidemic

    The outbreak of SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus rapidly altered radiotherapy service delivery around the world.AimThe main objective of this study was to assess the impact of precautionary measures implemented in response to the COVID-19 pandemic on the performance of a radiation oncology departments and on mitigation the risk of COVID-19 contagion between and among patients and staff.MethodsThe study period was from March 15 until May 22, 2020. We evaluated total number of patients irradiated and those who initiated treatments, taking into account tumours localisations. We assessed the relationship of potential risk of contagion with patients’ domiciles locations in regions with high number of COVID19 case.Results and conclusionsThe number of patients treated with radiotherapy during the study period decreased due to precautionary measures. After five weeks, the number of radiotherapy treatments began to increase. Just over half of the radiotherapy patients (53.5%) treated at the GPCC reside in the city of Poznan or in one of the ten surrounding counties where COVID19 incidence was low and reached at the end of the study period cumulative number of cases n = 204. The precautionary measures were effective qRT-PCR tests were performed in 1545 individuals (patients and hospital staff) revealing four staff members and none patient with a positive PCR result. Immunoglobulin testing was performed in 1132 individuals (patients and hospital staff). A total of 63 individuals were positive for antibodies

    Notes for genera – Ascomycota

    Knowledge of the relationships and thus the classification of fungi, has developed rapidly with increasingly widespread use of molecular techniques, over the past 10--15 years, and continues to accelerate. Several genera have been found to be polyphyletic, and their generic concepts have subsequently been emended. New names have thus been introduced for species which are phylogenetically distinct from the type species of particular genera. The ending of the separate naming of morphs of the same species in 2011, has also caused changes in fungal generic names. In order to facilitate access to all important changes, it was desirable to compile these in a single document. The present article provides a list of generic names of Ascomycota (approximately 6500 accepted names published to the end of 2016), including those which are lichen-forming. Notes and summaries of the changes since the last edition of `Ainsworth Bisby's Dictionary of the Fungi' in 2008 are provided. The notes include the number of accepted species, classification, type species (with location of the type material), culture availability, life-styles, distribution, and selected publications that have appeared since 2008. This work is intended to provide the foundation for updating the ascomycete component of the ``Without prejudice list of generic names of Fungi'' published in 2013, which will be developed into a list of protected generic names. This will be subjected to the XIXth International Botanical Congress in Shenzhen in July 2017 agreeing to a modification in the rules relating to protected lists, and scrutiny by procedures determined by the Nomenclature Committee for Fungi (NCF). The previously invalidly published generic names Barriopsis, Collophora (as Collophorina), Cryomyces, Dematiopleospora, Heterospora (as Heterosporicola), Lithophila, Palmomyces (as Palmaria) and Saxomyces are validated, as are two previously invalid family names, Bartaliniaceae and Wiesneriomycetaceae. Four species of Lalaria, which were invalidly published are transferred to Taphrina and validated as new combinations. Catenomycopsis Tibell Constant. is reduced under Chaenothecopsis Vain., while Dichomera Cooke is reduced under Botryosphaeria Ces. De Not. (Art. 59)
