La recherche en oncologie psychosociale

Le présent article se propose de tracer un bref historique des principaux courants de la recherche psychosociale dans le domaine de l’oncologie. Sans avoir la prétention de couvrir l’ensemble du champ, l’auteur porte une attention particulière aux études reconnues comme ayant joué un rôle déterminant dans le développement des connaissances. Il signale la contribution des travailleurs sociaux dans le champ de l’oncologie psychosociale et propose une synthèse des différentes perspectives de recherche.This article proposes to provide a brief history of the main psychosocial currents in the field of oncology. As it would be impossible to cover the entire literature, the author concentrates primarily on studies that are recognized to have played a crucial role in the development of knowledge. He also calls attention to the contribution of social workers in the field of psychosocial oncology and presents a summary of various research perspectives

On enhanced descend algorithms for solving frictional multi-contact problems : applications to the Discrete Element Method

In this article, we present various numerical methods to solve multi-contact problems within the Non-Smooth Discrete Element Method. The techniques considered to solve the frictional unilateral conditions are based both on the bi-potential theory and the Augmented Lagrangian theory. La mesure du soutien social

Dans le présent article, les auteurs examinent le concept de soutien social en apportant une attention particulière à sa définition et à sa mesure. Par une recension des écrits, les auteurs visent à clarifier la notion de soutien social et à identifier des instruments de mesure qui correspondent aux diverses définitions proposées dans les articles consultés. Cette recension montre que le soutien social est composé de trois dimensions, soit les ressources du réseau de soutien, les comportements de soutien et l’appréciation subjective de soutien. Après avoir décrit neuf instruments qui mesurent une ou plusieurs de ces dimensions, l’article se termine par une discussion qui porte sur des recommandations liées au choix d’un instrument pour mesurer le soutien social.In this article, the concept of social support is examined by focusing particularly on its definition and measurement. Through a review of the literature, the authors clarified the notion of social support and identified several instruments of measurement corresponding to the different definitions proposed. This review suggests that social support is made up of three dimensions, mainly, the support network resources, the supportive behavior, and the subjective appraisals of support. After the description of nine instruments measuring one or several of these dimensions, this article closes with bearing recommendations related to the choice of a measure for social support
