Game Server

Tato práce se zabývá konstrukcí herního serveru, sloužícího jako univerzální platforma pro tvorbu a hraní her. Dále technickými požadavky kladenými na herní server, dnešními zástupci herních serverů a to jak z oblasti komerčních tak i volně vyvíjených aplikací. Práce se dále pokouší analyzovat a řešit některé problémy, se kterými se setkáváme u konstrukce herních serverů pro velký počet simultánně připojených hráčů.This work is aimed to game server construction which is used as universal platform for creating and playing games. Technical demands which are issued on game server, nowadays game servers and their representants from the open source or commercial pool. This work is trying to analyze and solve some problems which you can challenge when you are trying to construct game server for moderate count simultaneously connected players.

Mathematical modelling of the rotary engine

The rotary engine of the Wankel type is currently undergoing a renaissance in the combustion engine industry, mainly because of the simplicity of its design and high power to weight ratio. Strong reliability increases the demand in the aero industry where it is used mainly in small aircrafts such as drones. In the engine development process, there is a high demand for 1 dimensional (1D) simulation software which reduces the time of the development. The commercially available software provides a possibility of predicting the performance of the piston-reciprocating engine to a very high level of accuracy given initial conditions. As the demand for the rotary engines isn’t comparable to the piston-reciprocating engines, currently commercially available software doesn’t include the required equations for the rotary engine prediction calculations. This paper includes an approach for design of the virtual comparable piston engine, that can be used as an initial data source for the calculation of the rotary engine using commercially available software

Formula Student Clutch

Tato práce se zabývá rešerší spojek používaných v soutěži Formula Student, kontrolním výpočtem spojky motoru Husqvarna FE 501 a Husaberg 570. Modifikací spojky FE 570 pro použití v přeplňovaném motoru Husqvarna FE 501 turbodmychadlem značky Garret. Jedná se o vícelamelovou spojku hydraulicky ovládanou v mokrém prostředí, kde přítlak vytváří talířová pružina. Modifikace je prováděna instalací spojkové sestavy z motoru Husaberg FE 570, která parametry více vyhovuje pro užití v závodním voze, zejména vyšším přenositelným krouticím momentem. V první části byla zpracována rozsáhlá rešerše vícelamelových spojek, které nalezneme ve většině motocyklových motorů. V druhé části byl proveden kontrolní výpočet třecího momentu přeneseného tovární spojkou a návrh úprav na jeho zvýšení včetně realizace.This thesis deals with clutches used in Formula Student competition, calculation of the clutch used in Husqvarna FE 501and Husaberg FE 570 motor and modification of FE 570 clutch for usage in turbocharged version of the Husqvarna FE 501 with Garret turbocharger. The clutch is multi-plate wet clutch with pressure plate spring. Modification is done by installing bigger clutch set from Husaberg FE 570 engine, which is more suitable for usage in a racing car thanks to bigger torque transferred by the clutch. In the first part a research of multi-plate clutches, which can be found in most of the modern motorcycle engines was done. In the second part the calculations were made in order to set an approximated torque possible to transfer with stock Husaberg FE 570 clutch and a modification design for improvement with realisation.

Sókratés, Odysseus, Kassiopeia, Aion: some aspects of iconography of late antique mosaics in Syria

Disertační práce se zabývá vybranými aspekty ikonografie syrských mozaik v pozdní antice mezi 3. a 6. stoletím po Kr. Tato problematika je zasazena do kontextu pozdně antických dějin, umění a společnosti vůbec, i do kontextu obecného zkoumání pozdně antických mozaik. Pozdně antická epocha ve východním Středomoří je pojímána jako období na jedné straně úzce spjaté s klasickou dobou, jež se ale na straně druhé - pod vlivem novoplatónismu a křesťanství apod. - vyznačuje určitými novými rysy. V úvodní kapitole vymezuji pozdně antickou dobu a pozdně antické umění. Upozorňuji na kontinuitu antické civilizace ve východním Středomoří, především v Sýrii. Načrtávám historický přehled Sýrie v této době s charakteristickými znaky této oblasti, přičemž se soustřeďuji na města, v níž se nacházejí mozaiky, jimž se později podrobně věnuji (Apameia, Palmýra, Shahba-Filippopolis). Uvádím stručný přehled pozdně antických mozaik jak v celém Středomoří, tak především v Sýrii jako rámec, do nějž jsou později podrobně popisované mozaiky včleněny. Následně obecně charakterizuji, v čem spočívá problematika interpretace mozaik v této době. Mozaikové obrazy obsahují na první pohled stejné scény z pohanských mýtů či scény vztahující se ke slavným postavám minulosti (např. Sókratés). Teprve při důkladném ikonografickém rozboru mozaiky...The thesis deals with selected aspects of iconography of Syrian mosaics in Late Antiquity (3th - 6th centuries AD). This topic is studied both in the context of the Late Antique history, art and society and in the context of the general research of Late Antique mosaics. The Late Antique Period in Eastem Mediterranean is concidered on one hand a period linked clo sely with the Classical period, on the other hand it reflects - influenced by the Neoplatonism and Christianity - some new trends. In the first chapter, I define the Late Antique period and the Late Antique art. I draw the attention to the fact of continuity of the Antique civilisation in the Eastem Mediterranean, especially in Syria. I sketch the history of Syria in this period, depicting the characteristic features of this territory. I focuse on the archaeological sites were we can find the mosaics further described in detail (Apamea, Palmyra, Shahba-Philippopolis). I also show an outline of the Late Antique mosaics in the Mediterranean and in Syria as a framework for the undermentioned mosaics. Then, I generally characterize what is the basis for the interpretation of the mosaics in that period.
