Analysis nonlinear deflection based on the elastica theory with solving elliptic integrals and method of iterations. For external load ( P ) is small ( P 0.70 unit ) , the difference is increasing the amount of deflection in significant. Deflection obtained by using the theory elastica smaller than the deflection by linear theory .Keywords : Nonlinear deflection , elastica theory , elliptic integrals , method of iterations , MAPLEAbstrakDalam kajian ini penulis menganalisis lendutan nonlinier pada tumpuan jepit bebas dengan beban titik P di ujung. Structural applications based on large displacement analysis are widespread in various fields, such as the application of aircraft structures, membranes, cables, pipelines and risers. In this study, the author reviews the structural responses based on large displacement theory and non-conservative load models, assuming linear sections and materials. The parameters reviewed are the variation of the load factor and the variation of the slope angle of the load P at the end of the span. Solving non-linear differential equations with non-conservative force, using numerical integration method. The simulation results with the variation of the load factor with the angle of inclination, vertical and horizontal displacements are obtained, where the final orientation of the acting force corresponds to the deformation of the structure, and the maximum deformation occurs at a load angle of 90o, the deformation decreases for the angle orientation is getting smaller.Structural applications based on large displacement analysis are widespread in various fields, such as the application of aircraft structures, membranes, cables, pipelines and risers. Evaluation activities for a program of Acute Respiratory Tract Infection Disease Control at SemarangDistrict Health Office were not optimal because required information from a routine report couldnot be used to support evaluation activities. Some problems existing on current information systemof pneumonia routine reporting were as follows: an officer had a difficulty to change or re-access pneumonia information, resulted information was incomplete and unclear, and submission of areport was not timely. This research aimed to develop information system of Pneumonia routinereporting based on web on the program of Acute Respiratory Tract Infection Disease Control atSemarang District Health Office.Design of this research was pre-experiment with one group pretest-posttest approach. In addition, development of the system used the methods of Framework for the Application of System Techniques(FAST). Subjects consisted of a system user at District Health Office and four pilot health centers.Data were collected using methods of observation, indepth interview, and a closed-endedquestionnaire. Furthermore, data were analyzed using content analysis and Wilcoxon test. This research resulted information system of Pneumonia routine reporting based on web on theprogram of Acute Respiratory Tract Infection Disease Control to solve problems happened in theold system. The result of Wilcoxon test revealed that there were any quality differences of informationin terms of the aspect of easiness (p=0.0001), the aspect of completeness (p=0.0001), the aspect ofclarity (p=0.0001), and the aspect of timeliness (p=0.0001) before and after developing theinformation system. As a suggestion, Semarang District Health Office needs to have commitment to optimally operatethe new system. Additionally, data reported from health centers to District Health Office must beaccurate in accordance with reality in the fields

‘Hearing silences’: Exploring culturally safe transitional care: A qualitative study among Turkish-speaking migrant frail older adults

Aims: This study aimed to investigate the experiences and transitional care needs of Turkish frail older adults living in the UK and determine how this information can be utilized to improve the provision of culturally sensitive care during the transitional period. Design: Qualitative descriptive research with semi-structured individual interviews. Methods: “The ‘Silences’ Framework guided the research design, from conceptualizing the research question to structuring the report of final outputs. For this study, semi-structured, in-depth interviews were conducted with sixteen older adults living with frailty and five family caregivers between January and May of 2023 in the United Kingdom. Results: Major themes that were identified included: (i) information and communication, (ii) care and support, (iii) the role of culture and (iv) trust and satisfaction. Further analysis, through discussion and immersion in the data, revealed that care transition periods were presented alongside three phases of transitional care: pre-transition (during hospitalization), early-transition (the period between discharge and the 7th day after discharge) and late transition (the period between the 8th day and 12th month after discharge). Conclusions: Our study revealed that the communication and informational needs of frail older individuals change during the transition period. While Turkish older adults and family caregivers expressed satisfaction with healthcare services in the UK, many struggled due to a lack of knowledge on how to access them. Impact: The support of family caregivers is a crucial component in facilitating transitional care for frail older patients, as they help in accessing healthcare services and using technological devices or platforms. It should be noted that family caregivers often hold the same level of authority as their elderly Turkish counterparts. Patient or Public Contribution: No patient or public contribution

Pharmacological Alterations of Anxious Behaviour in Mice Depending on Both Strain and the Behavioural Situation

A previous study comparing non-emotive mice from the strain C57BL/6/ByJ with ABP/Le mice showed ABP/Le to be more anxious in an open-field situation. In the present study, several compounds affecting anxiety were assayed on ABP/Le and C57BL/6/ByJ mice using three behavioural models of anxiety: the elevated plus-maze, the light-dark discrimination test and the free exploratory paradigm. The compounds used were the full benzodiazepine receptor agonist, chlordiazepoxide, and the antagonist, flumazenil, the GABAA antagonist, bicuculline, the full 5-HT1A agonist 8-OH-DPAT, and the mixed 5-HT1A/5-HT1B agonist, RU 24969. Results showed the effect of the compounds to be dependent on both the strain and the behavioural task. Several compounds found to be anxiolytic in ABP/Le mice had an anxiogenic effect on C57BL/6/ByJ mice. More behavioural changes were observed for ABP/Le in the elevated plus-maze, but the clearest findings for C57BL/6/ByJ mice were observed in the light-dark discrimination apparatus. These data demonstrate that anxious behaviour is a complex phenomenon which cannot be described by a single behavioural task nor by the action of a single compound
