Advanced digital predistortion of power amplifiers for mobile and wireless communications

This research work focuses on improving the performances of digital predistorters while maintaining low computational complexity for mobile and wireless communication systems. Initially, the thesis presents the fundamental theory of power amplifiers, overview of existing linearisation and memory-effects compensation techniques and reveals the current issues in the field. Further, the thesis depicts the proposed solutions to the problems, including the developed in-band distortion modelling technique, model extraction methods, memoryless digital predistortion technique based on distortion components iterative injection, baseband equalisation technique for minimising memory effects, Matlab-ADS co-simulation system and adaptation circuit with an offline training scheme. The thesis presents the following contributions of the research work. A generalized in-band distortion modelling technique for predicting the nonlinear behaviour of power amplifiers is developed and verified experimentally. Analytical formulae are derived for calculating predistorter parameters. Two model extraction techniques based on the least-squares regression method and frequency-response analysis are developed and verified experimentally. The area of implementation and the trade-off between the methods are discussed. Adjustable memoryless digital predistortion technique based on the distortion components iterative injection method is proposed in order to overcome the distortion compensation limit peculiar to the conventional injection techniques. A baseband equalisation method is developed in order to provide compensation of memory effects for increasing the linearising performance of the proposed predistorter. A combined Matlab-ADS co-simulation system is designed for providing powerful simulation tools. An adaptation circuit is developed for the proposed predistorter for enabling its adaptation to environmental conditions. The feasibility, performances and computational complexity of the proposed digital predistortion are examined by simulations and experimentally. Legal issues of development of organic farming in Ukraine

The theoretical principles of organic farming development in Ukraine are substantiated. The concept and features of the land for organic farming, especially the legal regime of such land are revealed. The analysis of legal forms of land use for organic farming was carried out. The main advantages of using an organic land plot on the basis of emphyteusis are analyzed. The subjects of land use for organic farming have been investigated. The prospective directions are determined and proposals on the improvement of the current legislation of Ukraine are developed. These include the development and approval of criteria for determining the suitability of agricultural land for use in the process of organic farming, resolving at the legislative level issues related to soil conservation and the protection of their fertility, the development and approval of norms of their qualitative condition that would meet the requirements of cultivation organic products of plant origin. In addition, there is a need for legal separation of agricultural land on which organic products are grown, taking into account the specific use of these lands and establishing their special legal regime.Обґрунтовано теоретичні засади розвитку органічного землеробства в Україні. Розкрито поняття та ознаки землі для ведення органічного землеробства, особливості правового режиму земель для ведення органічного землеробства. Здійснено аналіз правових форм використання земельних ділянок для ведення органічного землеробства. Проаналізовані основні переваги використання органічної земельної ділянки на підставі емфітевзису як альтернативи договору оренди земельної ділянки сільськогосподарського призначення. Досліджено суб’єктів використання земель для органічного землеробства. Визначено перспективні напрями та розроблено пропозиції щодо удосконалення чинного законодавства України. Ethical and Legal Issues of Interaction between a Defence Lawyer and a Prosecutor during the Criminal Trial

The institutions of the prosecution and defence are recognised as equitable related institutions that facilitate the activities of the judiciary. The consolidation of the new status of the institution of defence in the judicial system necessitates the study of new forms of communication between the defence and the court, the principles of such interaction, including the consideration of international standards and European experience. The novelty of the study is determined by the fact that interaction between a defence lawyer and a prosecutor can only be within the framework of a court session and any exchange of information can be performed only if full publicity is achieved in the process of interaction between a defence lawyer and a prosecutor. The authors show that interaction is carried out through a judge and is completely personalised. Accordingly, the interaction should be implemented to influence the judge in the process of forming and passing an appropriate judgement. The authors determine that the such a judgement can be formed in the course of communication and the provision of certain arguments that a defence lawyer cannot communicate in advance and which can only be voiced during a court session. The practical significance of the study lies in the possibility of innovating the activities of a defence lawyer and increasing the appropriate level of perception on the part of the judge and, accordingly, the prosecutor as representatives of the institutions of justice

MANAGEMENT EFFICIENCY ANALYSIS OF INNOVATION PROCESS IN THE FINANCIAL AND ECONOMIC ACTIVITIES OF IT SPHERE ENTERPRISES

The purpose of the article is to substantiate the priority of increasing the management efficiency of innovative process of IT sphere as a factor contributing to the Ukraine’s economic growth taking into account the current opportunities and limitations. The study substantiated that maintaining a competitive advantage in the innovation space through the development of digitalization processes in Ukraine requires continuous improvement of the management of the innovative process in the IT sphere, and increasing the efficiency of implementing new technical, organizational and marketing solutions. It is shown that under the influence of an unstable external environment, there is a need to develop and implement a management system that would provide an opportunity to obtain competitive advantages in the IT sphere and maintain a competitive position of the Ukrainian IT business in the market. The priority of development is long-term growth, the driving force of development is innovation and modern technologies, as well as highly qualified human and institutional capital. At the same time, traditional factors of production (land, natural resources, labour) are losing their importance. The basic priorities of managing the innovation development of the IT sphere have been determined. The implementation of an innovation policy in the IT sector of Ukraine, based on the current opportunities and constraints, will ensure a systematic and sustainable increase in the efficiency of innovative development in this area and will contribute to the increase of the national economy of Ukraine. Обґрунтування методологічних засад управління радіоресурсом систем радіозв’язку спеціального призначення в умовах апріорної невизначеності

The problem of substantiation of methodological bases of radio resource management of military radio communication systems in the conditions of a priori uncertainty is solved in the work. The object of research is the military radio communication system. One of the most problematic places in the management of military radio resources is the inability to carry out a hierarchical management of the parameters and modes of operation of both individual radios and the military radio system as a whole. This reduces the efficiency of the system itself and the efficiency of its application. The scientific problem is solved by substantiating the methodological principles of radio resource management of military radio communication systems in conditions of a priori uncertainty. During the research, the authors used the main provisions of the theory of queuing, the theory of automation, the theory of complex technical systems, as well as general scientific methods of cognition, namely analysis and synthesis. The novelty is that in the course of work: – the purpose of functioning of an operative management subsystem of a radio resource of military radio communication systems is formulated; – indicators and criteria of functioning efficiency of military radio communication systems are determined; – decomposition of the solution of this problem into problems depending on the signal and noise situation is carried out. An approach based on the hierarchical decomposition of the functional structure of networks, the behavior of which is described by stochastic differential (or difference) equations of the high dimension state, into a number of interconnected but simpler functional structures is used for the functional description of military radio communication systems. It will allow to make a decomposition of the state of the military radio system and increase the efficiency of decision-making on adjusting the modes of operation and parameters of the military radio system in real time. The research results should be used at the stage of operational management of parameters and modes of these systems operation.В работе решена задача обоснования методологических основ управления радиоресурсом военных систем радиосвязи в условиях априорной неопределенности. Объектом исследования является система военной радиосвязи. Одним из самых проблемных мест при управлении радиоресурсом военных радиосетей является невозможность проводить сквозное иерархическое управление параметрами и режимами работы, как отдельных радиосредств, так и системы военной радиосвязи в целом. Это снижает эффективность как самой системы, так и эффективности ее применения. Научная задача решена с помощью обоснования методологических основ управления радиоресурсом военных систем радиосвязи в условиях априорной неопределенности. В ходе проведенного исследования авторами работы были использованы основные положения теории массового обслуживания, теории автоматизации, теории сложных технических систем, а также общенаучные методы познания, а именно анализ и синтез. Новизна заключается в том, что в ходе работы: – сформулирована цель функционирования подсистемы оперативного управления радиоресурсом систем военной радиосвязи; – определены показатели и критерии эффективности функционирования систем военной радиосвязи; – проведена декомпозиция решения данной проблемы на задачи в зависимости от сигнальной и помеховой обстановки. Для функционального описания систем военной радиосвязи применяется подход, основанный на иерархической декомпозиции функциональной структуры сетей, поведение которых описывается стохастическими дифференциальными (или разностными) уравнениями состояния высокой размерности, на ряд взаимосвязанных, но простых функциональных структур. Это позволит провести декомпозицию состояния системы военного радиосвязи и повысить оперативность принятия решений по корректировке режимов работы и параметров системы военной радиосвязи в режиме реального времени. Результаты исследования целесообразно использовать на этапе оперативного управления параметрами и режимами работы указанных систем.У роботі вирішено завдання обґрунтування методологічних засад управління радіоресурсом військових систем радіозв’язку в умовах апріорної невизначеності. Це дозволить провести декомпозицію стану системи військового радіозв’язку та підвищити оперативність прийняття рішень щодо корегування режимів роботи та параметрів системи військового радіозв’язку в режимі реального часу.
