    In general, the purpose of this study is to find out how the responses of English Education study program students to strategies to improve english language skills. This study collects data through library research, which is the collection of written sources derived from articles that are relevant to the topic discussed. Reading short texts in english repeatedly, listening to various things such as music, radio, and news in english, writing personal notes, interacting and communicating verbally with others in english, note-taking skills, watching movies and YouTube with english subtitles, writing argumentation essays, and presentation assignments, are all discussed in this study as strategies for developing english language skills of English Education study program students. The strategies and their implementation are expected to help students improve their english language skills and abilities to meet the students' own expectations, which is the conclusion of this study

    Translation Analysis of Phrasal Verbs in the Subtitle of Inside Out Movie

    Inside Out is a fictional movie about a girl named Riley Andersen living in Minnesota and her five emotions (Sadness, Joy, Fear, Disgust and Angry) living in Headquarters in Riley’s mind. While watching the movie, the writer found some issues in translating the phrasal verbs. This research aims to recognize and understand the kinds of phrasal verbs and the strategies used by the translator in translating the phrasal verbs in the subtitle of Inside Out movie (2015). This study will use the kinds of phrasal verb theory by Biber and friends (1999) and Mona Baker’s translation strategies (1992). The result of this research shows that the subtitle of Inside Out movie consists of 124 Transitive Phrasal Verbs (Separable and Inseparable) and 76 Intransitive Phrasal Verbs. In addition, there are four translation strategies used in translating the subtitle which are Translation by a More General Word (8 times used), Translation by Paraphrase Using a Related Word (8 times used), Translation by Paraphrase Using Unrelated Word (2 times used), and Translation by a More Neutral/Less Expressive Word (2 times used)

    Kemampuan Memecahkan Masalah Siswa Melalui Model Pembelajaran Auditory Intellectually Repetition berdasarkan Gender: (Student’s Problem-Solving Skills Through the Auditory Intellectually Repetition Learning Model Based on Gender)

    The ability to solve problems is important for student to meet the needs of the 21st century generation. This study aims to determine the effect of using the Auditory Intellecttually Repetition (AIR) learning model on students’ problom solving abilities based on gender. This research is a quasi-experimental reaserch with the reaserch design used is One Group Posttest Only. The sample of this research is high school students of class XI SMAN in Sukabumi City as many as 30 students. The result showed that there was an effect of the Auditory Intellectually Reperirion (AIR) learning model on students’ problem solving abilities. Goruping based on gender resulted in the percentage value of male students by 60% and the percentage value of female students by 54%, this means that the problem-solving ability of male student is higher than the probloem-solving ability of female students. The onclusion than can be drawn is that the Auditory Intellectually Repetition learning model can be used by teachers in training students’ problem solving skills. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan model pembelajaran Auditory Intellectually Repetition (AIR) terhadap kemampuan memecahkan masalah siswa berdasarkan gender. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian quasi eksperimen engan desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah One Group Posttest Only. Sampel penelitian ini adalah Siswa SMA kelas XI SMAN di Kota Sukabumi sebanyak 30 orang siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada pengaruh model pembelajaran Auditory intellectually Repetition (AIR) terhadap kemampuan memecahkan masalah siswa. Pengelompokan berdasarkan gender menghasilkan data nilai persentase siswa laki-laki sebesar 60% dan nilai persentase siswa perempuan 54%, hal ini berarti kemampuan memecahkan masalah siswa laki-laki lebih tinggi dari kemampuan memecahkan masalah siswa perempuan. Kesimpulan yang dapat diambil model pembelajaran Auditory Intellectually Repetition ini dapat digunakan guru dalam melatihkan kemampuan memecahkan masalah siswa.     Contaminação ambiental por ovos de Toxocara sp. no município de Ribeirão Preto, Estado de São Paulo, Brasil

    Toxocariasis is a zoonosis mainly caused by Toxocara canis, an intestinal nematode of dogs. Man acquires the infection through accidental ingestion of viable eggs, and the toxocariasis clinical manifestations may vary from an asymptomatic infection up to the Visceral Larva Migrans syndrome. Seventy eight public squares of Ribeirão Preto, São Paulo, Brazil, including Bonfim Paulista district were visited aiming to evaluate the soil contamination by Toxocara eggs. The squares were divided in five different areas corresponding to the Sanitary Districts of the city. From May to December 2003, soil samples weighting about 250 g each were collected from five distinct sites of each public square. The laboratorial analysis was done by centrifugal-flotation techniques in magnesium sulphate solutions with 5% of potassium iodide (d = 1.33) and zinc sulphate (d = 1.20), and by the sedimentation- flotation in conic chalices with zinc sulphate (d = 1.20). Toxocara sp. eggs were found on 16 (20.5%) squares, with the lowest prevalence (12%) at the central area. From these results, it is expected that the legal authority will adopt protection measures for the city public areas, reducing thus the contamination risk by Toxocara sp. eggs.A toxocaríase é uma zoonose causada principalmente pelo Toxocara canis, nematóide intestinal de cães. O homem adquire a infecção através da ingestão acidental de ovos viáveis, sendo que as manifestações clínicas da toxocaríase podem variar desde uma infecção assintomática à síndrome da Larva Migrans Visceral. Com o objetivo de avaliar a contaminação do solo por ovos de Toxocara sp, foram visitadas 78 praças públicas de Ribeirão Preto, incluindo o distrito de Bonfim Paulista. As praças foram distribuídas em cinco áreas diferentes correspondentes as mesmas dos Distritos Sanitários do município. Entre maio a dezembro de 2003 foram coletadas de cinco pontos de cada praça amostras de solo de aproximadamente 250 gramas. A análise laboratorial foi realizada pelas técnicas da centrífugo-flutuação em soluções de sulfato de magnésio com 5% de iodeto de potássio (d = 1.33) e de sulfato de zinco (d = 1.20) e da flotação-sedimentação em cálice cônico com sulfato de zinco (d = 1.20). Foram encontrados ovos de Toxocara sp. em 16 (20,5%) praças, sendo que a região central apresentou a mais baixa prevalência (12,0%). Espera-se que a partir destes resultados as autoridades competentes adotem medidas de proteção das áreas públicas do município, reduzindo o risco da contaminação por ovos de Toxocara sp

    Pandemi Covid sudah melanda berbagai negara sejak akhir tahun 2019. Untuk memutus rantai penyebaran Covid-19 maka pemerintah meminta masyarakat untuk melaksanakan physical distancing yaitu dengan menghindari segala bentuk kerumunan, perkumpulan, dan pertemuan yang mengikutsertakan banyak orang serta menjaga jarak di antara masyarakat. Agar kegiatan pendidikan tidak terhenti maka salah satu alternatifnya yaitu pembelajaran dilakukan secara daring atau online. Pada saat pembelajaran daring siswa dituntut untuk memanage kegiatan belajarnya sendiri. Hal ini lah yang menyebabkan kurangnya minat belajar siswa karena siswa seringkali lalai dalam me-manage waktu saat mengikuti pembelajaran daring. Maka dari itu penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ada atau tidaknya dan seberapa besar pengaruh pembelajaran daring dengan minat belajar siswa SMA Sederajat pada mata pelajaran matematika. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian korelasional. Penelitian korelasi adalah sebuah penelitian yang melibatkan suatu tindakan pengumpulan data untuk memastikan adanya hubungan dan tingkat hubungan dari dua variabel atau lebih. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu analisis regresi non linear, yaitu salah satu metode analisis regresi untuk memperoleh model non linear yang digunakan untuk mengetahui adanya dan tingkat hubungan antara variabel dependen dan variabel independen. Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu minat belajar siswa pada pembelajaran daring berada pada kategori sedang dan tinggi. Pembelajaran daring mempengaruhi minat belajar siswa sebesar 91.5%.     Kemampuan TPACK merupakan pengetahuan mengenai interaksi kompleks prinsip pengetahuan (konten, pedagogi, teknologi). Kemampuan menyusun RPP adalah kemampuan praktis yang dimiliki guru untuk menyusun komponen RPP. RPP disusun guru dengan memuat unsur HOTS didalamnya yaitu C4, C5, dan C6. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bagaimana hasil analisis kemampuan TPACK guru kelas V dalam menyusun perangkat rencana pelaksanaan pembelajaran (RPP) yang berbasis HOTS di sekolah dasar. Jenis penelitian yaitu penelitian kualitatif. Subjek dari penelitian yaitu guru kelas v SDN 13/I Muara Bulian pada semester genap 2022/2023. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini adalah observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian adalah kemampuan TPACK guru kelas V dalam menyusun rencana pelaksanaan pembelajaran (RPP) yang berbasis HOTS di sekolah dasar, menunjukkan bahwa guru sudah mengetahui sistematika atau komponen penyusunan rencana pelaksanaan pembelajaran (RPP) yang berbasis HOTS, tetapi masih terdapat kekurangan atau tidak mencantumkan beberapa komponen RPP dalam beberapa RPP yang telah disusun

    Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif pada perusahaan barang konsumen primer yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia tahun 2019-2021. Penelitian ini mengambil judul: “Pengaruh Komisaris Independen, Reputasi Kantor Akuntan Publik, dan Komite Audit terhadap Ketepatwaktuan Penyampaian Laporan Keuangan”. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisis pengaruh komisaris independen, reputasi KAP, dan komite audit terhadap ketepatwaktuan penyampaian laporan keuangan. Populasi dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 79 perusahaan, sedangkan jumlah sampel yang diambil sebanyak 59 perusahaan dengan menggunakan metode purposive sampling. Alasan menggunakan purposive sampling karena perlunya pertimbangan seperti penetapan kriteria tertentu untuk menentukan sampel. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu analisis regresi logistik karena variabel dependen penelitian ini merupakan variabel dummy. Sumber data yang digunakan yaitu data sekunder berasal dari laporan keuangan perusahaan barang konsumen primer. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan analisis data dengan menggunakan IBM SPSS 26 menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Komisaris independen tidak berpengaruh positif terhadap ketepatwaktuan penyampaian laporan keuangan, (2) Reputasi Kantor Akuntan Publik berpengaruh positif terhadap ketepatwaktuan penyampaian laporan keuangan, (3) Komite audit tidak berpengaruh positif terhadap ketepatwaktuan penyampaian laporan keuangan
