A Framework for Task-Based Flipped Classroom in EFL Education in Vietnam
When it comes to language teaching in general education in Vietnam, there are many challenges for teachers to overcome. Such as time constraints, examination wash-back effects, studentsâ demotivation and studentsâ individualization causes of learning. Various innovative teaching methods and approaches have been applied to address these concerns, such as task-based language learning and flipped classrooms (FCs). However, each mode of teaching has its advantages and disadvantages. Due to this, it is essential to carefully examine the combination of TBLT and the flipped classroom (FC). This paper reviews the effects of the implementation of task-based language learning in the clipped classroom, discusses the integration of both teaching approaches, and suggests the applied model for English as a Foreign Language (EFL) education in Vietnam
Confronting the nucleonic hypothesis with current neutron star observations from GW170817 and PSR J0740+6620
The nuclear matter equation of state is relatively well constrained at
sub-saturation densities thanks to the knowledge from nuclear physics. However,
studying its behavior at supra-saturation densities is a challenging task.
Fortunately, the extraordinary progress recently made in observations of
neutron stars and neutron star mergers has provided us with unique
opportunities to unfold the properties of dense matter. Under the assumption
that nucleons are the only constituents of neutron star cores, we perform a
Bayesian inference using the so-called meta-modeling technique with a
nuclear-physics-informed prior. The latest information from the GW170817 event
by the LIGO-Virgo Collaboration (LVC) and from the radius measurement of the
heaviest known neutron star PSR J0740+6620 by the Neutron Star Interior
Composition Explorer (NICER) telescope and X-ray Multi-Mirror (XMM-Newton) are
taken into account as likelihoods in the analysis. The impacts of different
constraints on the equation of state as well as on the predictions of neutron
star properties are discussed. The obtained posterior reveals that all the
current observations are fully compatible with the nucleonic hypothesis. Strong
disagreements between our results with future data can be identified as a
signal for the existence of exotic degrees of freedom.Comment: Contribution to the "Journees de Rencontre des Jeunes Chercheurs

Low Knowledge and Unawareness of the Health Promotion as the Determinant Factors in Non-Compliance to the Mass Drug Administration Program
From the total population of the community in Kuningan District, 78.61% were taking filariasis drugs in the Mass Drug Administration (MDA) program in 2017. Cilimus Subdistrict became a filariasis-endemic area in Kuningan with 72.39% of the MDA program coverage in 2017 (government target >86%). The purpose of this study was to analyze the determinant factors of compliance with the MDA program. The study was an analytical study with a cross-sectional design and conducted from May to June 2018. The sample of 106 people was taken from the population living in Cilimus Subdistrict, Kuningan District, using a simple random sampling technique. Independent variables were collected by a constructed questionnaire included age, education level, knowledge, attitude, health promotion, and family support. A questionnaire also measured compliance with MDA as a dependent variable. Data analysis consisted of univariate, bivariate (chi-square and Fisher exact test), and multivariate analyses (multiple logistic regression). The results showed that the variables of knowledge, attitude, MDA health promotion, and family support influence compliance with the MDA (p-value < 0.05). Low knowledge and unawareness of the MDA health promotion proved to be the dominant factors in non-compliance with the MDA program
An Empirical Study of Affective Commitment: the Case of Machinery Enterprises in Hochiminh City
The study aims to investigate the impact of participation in decision-making (PDM) and perceived organizational support (POS) on affective commitment in machinery enterprises. The study applies structural equation modeling (SEM) to test the research hypotheses. The authors surveyed 220 employees who work in machinery enterprises to collect data for the research. The study results indicate that both PDM and POS positively impact affective commitment. The findings provide empirical evidence to support the theoretical models that PDM and POS have a positive effect on affective commitment. The findings have implications for management theory: PDM and POS are the key antecedents of affective commitment. The findings also have implications for practical management in the machinery enterprises that managers should practice both PDM and POS to increase affective commitment
K.Marx-Engels and Ho Chi Minh Viewpoints on Journalism - and Two Fake News Publishing Cases of Thanhnien.vn and Tuoitre.vn (Online Magazines) in Vietnam and Lessons from Indonesia, Japan Approaches
In this paper, by using qualitative analytical analysis with 2 case examples of Thanh nien and Tuoi tre newspapers (online) in Vietnam, in which there are history of publishing fakes news online from 2015, 2016, 2018, 2022 (with very bad editors Nguyen Ngoc Toan and Dang Thi Phuong Thao), as well as giaoduc.edu.vn and vietnamnet.vn in 2022 so we will address some points in this study based on answers for question: âWhat are regulatory lessons from Indonesia and Japan approaches on publishing fake news?â. We would suggest that there are penalties for negative behaviors of posting fake news online (any fake information) in the context of covid 19 epidemic. Tapsell (2019) defined âhoax newsâ as similar to the more globally recognized term âfake newsâ: material deliberately fabricated and masqueraded as truth. At last, we will draw some lessons from K.Marx and Ho Chi Minh viewpoints on journalism for educating young generation in emerging markets such as Vietnam
Guide to Participatory Scenario Planning (PSP): Experiences from the Agro-Climate Information Services for women and ethnic minority farmers in South-East Asia (ACIS) project in Ha Tinh and Dien Bien province, Vietnam
The Participatory scenario planning (PSP) workshop is a valuable knowledge-sharing platform through which stakeholders, including those who support the implementation of PSP (i.e., meteorological and agricultural services) and those who access and use the climate information (i.e., technical experts, and farmers) meet to discuss adaptation actions within the context of climate information. The PSP approach was developed under CARE Internationalâs Adaptation Learning Programme (ALP). It was then adapted to Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia under the Agro-Climate Information Services for women and ethnic minority farmers in South-East Asia (ACIS) project by CARE International in Vietnam and World Agroforestry Centre (ICRAF) Vietnam
