Thermo-Mechanical Stress Analysis of Functionally Graded Tapered Shaft System

    Get PDF
Present work deals with the study of stresses developed in tapered functionally graded (FG) shaft system under both thermal and mechanical environment for three nodded beam element by using Timoshenko beam theory. The temperature distribution in radial direction is assumed based on one dimensional steady state temperature field by Fourier heat conduction equation without considering heat generation. Temperature dependent material properties are varied along the radial direction using power law gradation. Tapered FG shaft consists of rigid disk attached at its centre and shaft is mounted on two flexible bearings acts as spring and damper, inner radius of the tapered shaft is varying in x direction keeping thickness of hollow tapered shaft is constant. For the present analysis the Mixture of Stainless steel (SUS304) and Aluminum oxide (Al2O3) are considered as inner and outer surface material of the FG shaft. Three dimensional constitutive relations are derived based on first order shear deformation theory (FSDT) for Timoshenko beam element considering rotary inertia, strain and kinetic energy of shaft and gyroscopic effect. In present study, structural and hysteretic damping are incorporated. Hamilton’s principle is used to derive governing equation of motion for three nodded beam element for six degree of freedom per node. Complete MATLB code is generated and shows that temperature field and power law gradient index have important part on material properties. Comparative study is carried out for Stainless steel and FG tapered shaft, shows that stress developed in FG shaft is comparatively lower than Steel shaft. Various results are obtained for coupled and uncoupled environment. Transient stress are obtained for varying power law index value and speed as a parameter. Stress amplitude increases for increase in speed and power law index. Results achieved for FG shaft shows advantages over steel shaft

In the newly born state of Chhattisgarh a large number of land buyers have become actively engaged in the villages located along the national highway and at the periphery of Raipur city, the capital of Chhattisgarh to purchase prime agricultural land. In view of the fast emerging land markets after the formation of the state, it is imperative to understand the role of market and non-market forces in transaction of prime agricultural land for non-agricultural uses and transactions within the agriculture sector. This study is an attempt in this direction. The study has been conducted in the Jora, Labhandi, Serikhedi and Dharampura villages of Dharsiwa block in Raipur district of Chhattisgarh state. These villages are located on both sides of Mumbai-Raipur-Kolkatta National Highway No.6 and are in the close periphery of the Raipur city. Two-stage least square technique of simultaneous equation system has been used to estimate demand and supply relationship in land market. Total owned land of seller and the price of land have been reported as the two important determinants of supply relations in land sale market. Similarly, the ownership of total owned land of buyers and non-farm income of buyer are major determinants of demand for agriculture land. Also, distances from National Highway, revenue grades and land sold under distress have been found important factors. The linear trends in land sale and land prices have indicated that area of the land for sale has increased year after year. Prices of land have also increased year after year. The most important factors which have forced the farmers to sell out their lands have been identified as functioning of aggressive land market forces, extremely poor capital base of the farmers, desire to construct their houses, increasing addiction to alcohol and inclination towards starting non-agricultural enterprises or professions, landhunger tendency of urban businessmen and colonizers. The study has suggested that certain effective legislations and institutional measures will have to be introduced and enforced for non-transfer of agricultural land.Agricultural and Food Policy,

Revisting SQL Query Recommender System Using Hierarchical Classification

    Get PDF
For analytical purposes, lots of data are gathered which are gathered and explored in data warehouses. Even to handle such a large data is a tough task for expert people. For non-expert users or for users who are not familiar with the database schema, handling such a voluminous data is more difficult task. The aim of this paper is to facilitate this class of users by recommending them SQL queries that they may use. By following the users past behavior and comparing them with other users, these SQL recommendations are selected. Initially, users may not know from where they can start their exploration. Secondly, users may overlook queries which help them to retrieve important data. Using hierarchical classification, the queries are recorded and compared which is then re-ranked according to relevance. Using users querying behavior, the relevant queries are retrieved. To issue a series of SQL queries, users use a query interface which aim to analyze the data and mine it for interesting information. DOI: 10.17762/ijritcc2321-8169.150614

Unwanted hairs which are present in the body causes cosmetological as well as psychological problems for an individual. To remove the unwanted hairs there are numerous medicines and procedures, which are carried out for depilation action. These medicines are mainly chemicals have side effects and irritation to the skin. The techniques which are employed for this purpose are expensive; still the relapse of the hair occurs because these are giving temporary results. As there are so many medicines which are available in the market for the other diseases like Jwara (fever), Sandhgataivata (osteoarthritis), Amavata (rheumatoid arthritis), Amalpitta (acid peptic disorder), Shwasa (bronchial asthma), Kasa (cough) etc. but for the Romashatana there are no such frequently available medicine. The hair removal products which are available in the market are not herbal or herbomineral. Romashatana lepa is a herbomineral preparation prepared by taking Shoditha hartala, Shanka and Palasha khara. Physico-chemical analytical results of Romashatana lepa show pH 8.78, Arsenic 2.33%w/w, Calcium 22% w/w

Detecting the rotten fruits become significant in the agricultural industry. Usually, the classification of fresh and rotten fruits is carried by humans is not effectual for the fruit farmers. Human beings will become tired after doing the same task multiple times, but machines do not. Thus, this paper proposes an approach to reduce human efforts, reduce the cost and time for production by identifying the defects in the fruits in the agricultural industry. If we do not detect those defects, those defected fruits may contaminate good fruits. Hence, we proposed a model to avoid the spread of rottenness. The proposed model classifies the fresh fruits and rotten fruits from the input fruit images. For this work, we have used three types of fruits, such as apple, banana, and oranges. A Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) is used for extracting the features from input fruit images, and Softmax is used to classify the images into fresh and rotten fruits. The performance of the proposed model is evaluated on a dataset that is downloaded from Kaggle and produces an accuracy of 97.82%. The results showed that the proposed CNN model can effectively classify the fresh fruits and rotten fruits

Over the past 2 years, the Coronavirus has rapidly spread to all parts of the world. Scientist and researchers are continuing their research to find a permanent cure. As the number of cases are increasing, so the tests are for Coronavirus is increasing rapidly, it is impossible to maintain data of test due to the time and cost factors. Big data is very helpful to maintain the track record of the COVID-19 infected patients in a very systematic way and will reduce the time delay for the results of the medical tests and modulate doctors to give proper medical treatment to the infected person. Big data analytics play an important role in building knowledge, studies required in making decisions and precautionary measures. However, due to the vast amount of data available on COVID-19 from various sources, there is a need to review the roles of big data analysis in controlling and tracking the spread of COVID-19, presenting the main challenges and directions of COVID-19 data analysis, as well as providing a framework on the related existing applications and studies to facilitate future research on COVID-19 analysis.
