Pengaruh Penerapan Pembelajaran E-learning terhadap Kemandirian dan Minat Belajar Mahasiswa pada Mata Kuliah Wawasan dan Kajian Mipa

The aim of this study was to determine the effect of the implementation of e-learning to the students' independence and interests in Science insight and Study Course. The used method was experimental post-test only control group design by questionnaire sheets. The subjects were Chemistry Education students year 2015. The results of the hypothesis-test showed that there are no significant differences of independence and interest in both of groups. However, the results of descriptive data analysis showed that the average students' independence and interest in the experimental was higher than the control group. The experimental group mean of 3.67 (good), while the control group average of 3.48 which are at the same category. Average students' interest in the experimental group of 4.21 (very good), while the average in the control group at 4.08 (good). In addition, based on the questionnaire of students' responses toward e-learning obtained mean of 4.51 (very good)

Design of Equipment Rack with TRIZ Method to Reduce Searching Time in Change Over Activity (Case Study : PT. Jans2en Indonesia)

Janssen is a manufacturing plant that works in furniture assembly. Component shortages often occurs, it will cause the increase of work in process (WIP) in assembly section. In previous studies, we analyze the root causes with FMEA and then it is resulted that router section is the constraint of the system. There are many non value added activities such as searching and transportation caused by a messy condition of work places and the devices that aren’t put in the right place. The impact is that the time allocated for every change over is higher than before. There are many components that are worked by the router section, so improvements are needed to minimize changes in over time. 5S method and the use of a new design of rack by TRIZ method are suggested for fixing the conditions of work environment. It is expected to eliminate non value added activities and changes in over time. Result shows that we can reduce non value activities in change over of regular components up to 41% and the elimination of this time is 41,6%. Agro-Exports and the Rural Resource Poor in Latin America: Policy Options for Achieving Broadly Based Growth

Concentrating on fundamental sector-level impacts that shape the nature of agro-export growth, this paper indicates how intrahousehold impacts fit into the analysis. Section 1 is introductory. Section 2 puts forward the conceptual framework needed to understand sectoral impacts of agro-export growth on the rural resource poor, impacts that can be divided into a small-farm adoption effect, a land-access effect, and a labor-absorption effect, all of which are interlinked. Section 3 explores the economic forces that shape the magnitude of the direct (adoption and land access) and indirect (labor absorption) effects of agro-export growth. Its chief message is that the agronomic and economic characteristics of agro-export crops interact with the intrinsic imperfections of rural factor markets to create farm-size biases-biases that are frequently tilted against small farm production. Section 4 summarizes the coordinated empirical, farm-level research on agro-export booms in Chile, Guatemala, and Paraguay. Section 5 analyzes the range of policy available to foment broadly based growth. In order of increasing policy activism, policies are divided into those that (1) get prices and institutions "right," (2) pick winners for public investment, (3) reform land markets, and (4) reform information-constrained markets. Section 5 argues that capital and insurance market reforms will almost always be necessary if agro-export growth is to be broadly based. Section 6 closes the paper with a brief reflection on the desirability of promoting broadly based growth: Is pursuit of broadly based growth worth it given the likely complexity of the recommended factor market interventions? While this is a highly complex and value-laden question, section 6 suggests perspectives from both the U.S. domestic and low-income country policy contexts that make broadly based growth a goal worth pursuing.Community/Rural/Urban Development, International Relations/Trade,

Este texto visa discutir o conceito de sustentabilidade em termos de suas implicações econômicas, com especial ênfase nas ramificações do setor mineiro no Brasil. Pretende-se examinar esta perspectiva através de uma revisão das abordagens conceituais à sustentabilidade dos recursos exauríveis e descrever sua relação com uma definição geral do desenvolvimento sustentável. Adicionalmente visa-se oferecer sugestões relativas à operacionalização do conceito de desenvolvimento sustentável de modo que o critério de sustentabilidade possa tornar-se um aspecto real do processo decisório.This paper will discuss the concept of sustainability in terms of its economic implications, with specific emphasis on the ramifications for the mining sector in Brasil. It will examine this perspective through a review of conceptual approaches to exhaustible resource sustainability and describe it's relationship to the more general definition of sustainable development. Additionally, it will offer suggestions of how to operationalize the concept of sustainable development so that the criterion of sustainability can become a real aspect of the decision process
