    The failures that occur in the electric power system have a great impact on society, generating large economic losses and electrical power losses; For this reason, it is necessary to have a plan to restore the electrical system in an optimal way and in the shortest time. A review of the methodologies that allow planning the optimal restoration of the SEP after a failure is made due to problems that cause partial power outages at certain points in the network. Which can be implemented a heuristic that allows choosing the optimal path for restoration; that is to say, it will provide the steps to enter the elements that are entered, such as: transmission lines or generation plants, taking into account the stability of the system and the quality indices that represent the restrictions of the problem. Therefore, the optimal power flows are used to know the status of the post-fault system; in this way, the voltage and power criteria will be used to enter the heuristic, in addition to using linear mixed integer programming (MILP).Las fallas que ocurren en el sistema de energía eléctrica tienen un gran impacto en la sociedad generando grandes pérdidas económicas y perdidas de energía eléctrica; por esta razón, es necesario tener un plan que permita restaurar el sistema eléctrico de una manera óptima y en el menor tiempo posible. Se realiza una revisión de las metodologías que permiten realizar una planificación de la restauración óptima de la SEP después de una falla debido a problemas que causan corte parcial de energía en ciertos puntos de la red. Con lo cual se puede implementar una heurística que permita elegir el camino óptimo para la restauración; es decir, proporcionará los pasos para ingresar los elementos que se ingresan, como son: las líneas de transmisión o centrales de generación, teniendo en cuenta la estabilidad del sistema y los índices de calidad que representan las restricciones del problema. Por lo tanto, los flujos óptimos de potencia se utilizan para conocer el estado del sistema posterior a la falla; de esta manera, los criterios de voltaje y potencia se utilizarán para ingresar a la heurística, además de utilizar programación lineal de entera mixta (MILP)

    El trabajo interdisciplinario entre profesionales de la ingeniería biomédica y la musicoterapia posibilita adaptar y construir dispositivos tecnológicos orientados a ampliar y variar los elementos sonoros musicales con los que se dispone dentro de un setting musicoterapéutico, poniéndose a disposición de las necesidades expresivas y de accesibilidad de cada paciente. El presente trabajo describe el proceso de diseño, implementación (fabricación) y puesta a prueba de dispositivos tecnológicos de activación de sonido por movimiento, bajo la filosofía Open Source (Código Abierto), para su uso en espacios de Musicoterapia, con personas con discapacidad. Dicho proceso fue llevado a cabo por un equipo formado por ingenieros de la Escuela de Ingeniería Biomédica (Universidad Nacional de Córdoba) y licenciadas en Musicoterapia pertenecientes al Centro de Musicoterapia Seirén. El producto final se constituye por un conjunto de 5 prototipos de dispositivos de activación de sonido por movimiento, de código abierto, publicados en la Plataforma Web POSTA (Proyectos Open Source de Tecnologías Asistivas).The interdisciplinary work between professionals in biomedical engineering and music therapy makes it possible to adapt and build technological devices aimed at expanding and varying the musical sound elements available within a music therapy setting, making themselves available to the expressive and accessibility needs of each. The present work describes the process of design and implementation and testing of technological devices for sound activation by movement, under the Open Source philosophy, for use in Music Therapy spaces, with people with disabilities. This process was carried out by a team made up of engineers from the School of Biomedical Engineering (National University of Córdoba) and Music Therapy from the Seirén Music Therapy Center. Por otro lado , el reclutamiento de personas debe ser de forma interna para que los candidatos sean los mismos trabajadores de la empresa con el fin de promoverlos o transferirlos a otras actividades más complejas o más motivadoras y externas para someterlos a un proceso de selección de personal donde los candidatos pueden disputarse un puesto en específico. Finalmente , es primordial tener una base de los puestos para que los empleados tengan la correcta información de que debe hacer , qué función o rol cumplir dentro de una unidad organizativa.     Typescript (photocopy).Software conversion is becoming increasingly significant as the inventory of programs increases and as the life cycle of many applications becomes longer. Although some work has been done in the area of software conversion, it has received little research attention since it has only recently become a more frequent occurrence. This research considered two aspects of software conversion and developed a methodology for the statistical analysis of conversion sample data from the ongoing U.S. Air Force Base Level Data Automation Program (officially given the short title Phase IV). The two areas specifically addressed by this research were programmer productivity and effort estimation. Programmer attributes and program characteristics were studied in relation to programmer productivity in software conversion. Models for explaining productivity were constructed and the impact of organization was also considered. Existing applicable models for software conversion effort estimation were examined and their accuracy was evaluated. Environment specific regression models for effort estimation were also constructed. Several statistical and summarizing techniques were considered for the analysis of the conversion sample data. As various aspects of the data were studied, selected statistical techniques emerged as more appropriate. These provided the basis for the methodology formulated and used throughout the data analysis. The Air Force data was utilized in a case study of the application of the methodology. Unique features of the data which entered the analysis included government programmers, less than half being college graduates, working in different organizations and converting COBOL-68 programs to COBOL-74 with the maximum program length being 5000 lines. The analysis of conversion programmer productivity revealed that experience, lines of code, a programmer's knowledge of the program, organization, and other factors and attributes impacted productivity. In addition, the Hahn and Stone effort estimation model exhibited the best performance in estimating system level effort while the Federal Conversion Support Center model had the lowest accuracy.     A numerical analysis of the flow field in rough microchannel is carried out decomposing the computational physical domain into kinetic and continuum subdomains. Each domain size is determined by the value of a proper threshold parameter, based on the local Knudsen number and local gradients of macroparameters. This switching parameter is computed from a preliminary Navier-Stokes (NS) solution throughout the whole physical domain. The solution is then advanced in time simultaneously in both kinetic and continuum domains: The coupling is achieved by matching half fluxes at the interface of the kinetic and Navier-Stokes domains, taking care of the conservation of momentum, energy, and mass through the interface. The roughness geometry is modeled as a series of triangular obstructions with a relative roughness up to a maximum of 5% of the channel height. A wide range of Mach numbers is considered, from nearly incompressible to chocked flow conditions 0.001 Ma 0.75 and a Reynolds number up to 170. To estimate rarefaction effect, the flow at Knudsen number ranging from 0.01 to 0.08 and fixed pressure ratio has been considered. Accuracy and discrepancies between full Navier-Stokes, kinetic, and coupled solutions are discussed, assessing the range of applicability of first order slip condition in rough geometries. The effect of the roughness is discussed via Poiseuille number as a function of local Knudsen and Mach numbers

    Is Columbia a Different Neighbor? A Comparative Analysis of University Real Estate Acquisition Practices

    This research will examine Columbia’s real estate acquisition throughout the course of its two major expansionary periods, and this paper will specifically explore the number of buildings Columbia has acquired, the strategic pattern of acquisition to aid in neighborhood control, the methods Columbia has used to acquire properties, and the change within the racial composition of both the Morningside Heights and Manhattanville neighborhoods. In a broader sense, this paper will examine the integration of university expansion within the city of New York’s development goals, with specific attention towards the prominent planning practices of each respective time period. The paper will begin by examining the available literature on the history of Columbia within New York City. Particular emphasis will be placed on how Columbia’s real estate acquisition was influenced by the university’s self-interest, larger interaction with New York City’s development goals, and the various instances of community opposition. This section will be divided into five sections; Columbia’s beginnings in New York City, Columbia’s initial move uptown, the primary expansionary period, the controversy surrounding the gymnasium proposal, and the major themes within Columbia’s history. The paper will then introduce the details surrounding the Manhattanville expansion from its announcement in 2003 and its final approval in 2009, in order to provide a qualitative analysis of the two expansions. To provide a quantitative insight into real estate practices, this research required both a record of Columbia’s current landholdings and their acquisition dates. As Columbia does not provide this data publicly, this catalog of acquisition dates was created using New York City property tax lot record data. This data provides the opportunity for comparison regarding the number of buildings acquired, the strategic pattern of acquisition to aid in neighborhood control, and the racial change of the expansion neighborhoods based on Decennial Census data from 1940 through 2010. The paper will then conclude with the significance of Columbia achieving a “Good neighbor” status in regards to its relationship with both the city of New York and the neighborhoods and communities that surround its campuses. Future opportunities for effective community and university interaction will also be discussed

    Dengan semakin meningkatnya industri konstruksi, pemanfaatan limbah diperlukan dalam upaya penghematan sumber daya alam dan pelestarian lingkungan. Dalam hal ini limbah yang dimaksud ialah limbah daun nanas, selain mudah didapat, ekonomis juga bisa menggandakan keuntungan para petani nanas dan menghindari pencemaran lingkungan akibat daun nanas yang membusuk secara berlebihan. Juga daun nanas memiliki serat yang kuat. Dalam penelitian ini daun nanas yang digunakan yaitu daun nanas yang telah dikeringkan. Pengujian kuat tekan dan tarik belah beton dengan proporsi campuran beton penambahan serat daun nanas yang digunakan yaitu 0%, 1%, dan 2% dengan ukuran 5cmx1cm dan 3cmx1cm. Kekuatan tekan beton umur 28 hari BN; SDN 1% Uk. 5cm; SDN 2% Uk.5cm; SDN 1% Uk.3cm; SDN 2% Uk.3cm berturut-turut adalah 21,0 MPa; 13,1 MPa; 8,5 MPa; 12,8 MPa; 8,4 MPa. Kekuatan tarik belah beton umur 28 hari BN; SDN 1% Uk. 5cm; SDN 2% Uk.5cm; SDN 1% Uk.3cm; SDN 2% Uk.3cm berturut-turut adalah 2,0 MPa; 1,9 MPa; 1,5 MPa; 1,9 MPa; 1,6 MPa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan Pengaruh penggunaan serat daun nanas terhadap kuat tekan dan kuat tarik belah beton yaitu, terjadinya penurunan nilai kuat tekan dan kuat tarik belah beton terhadap beton normal.
