Підхід до аналізу безпеки ієрархічних інформаційних систем, що розвиваються
Метою роботи є розробка удосконаленої моделі безпеки ієрархічних
інформаційних системах (ІІС), що розвиваються, в цілому, що враховує рівень
безпеки складових елементів ІС. Забезпечення безпеки ІІС є важливою
науково-технічною проблемою. У статті запропонований підхід, що ґрунтується
на особливостях обробки інформації в ІІС. Для аналізу впливу порушень
безпеки на виконання функцій ІІС розглянуто елементи ІІС як агенти
мультиагентної системи, кожен з яких характеризується певним набором
параметрів. Порушення безпеки розглядається як нездатність агентом
виконувати деякі або усі функції. Розроблено алгоритм, що дозволяє
прогнозувати ймовірність виконання функцій системи з урахуванням
невизначеності факторів розвитку
Absolute properties of the binary system BB Pegasi
We present a ground based photometry of the low-temperature contact binary BB
Peg. We collected all times of mid-eclipses available in literature and
combined them with those obtained in this study. Analyses of the data indicate
a period increase of 3.0(1) x 10^{-8} days/yr. This period increase of BB Peg
can be interpreted in terms of the mass transfer 2.4 x 10^{-8} Ms yr^{-1} from
the less massive to the more massive component. The physical parameters have
been determined as Mc = 1.42 Ms, Mh = 0.53 Ms, Rc = 1.29 Rs, Rh = 0.83 Rs, Lc =
1.86 Ls, and Lh = 0.94 Ls through simultaneous solution of light and of the
radial velocity curves. The orbital parameters of the third body, that orbits
the contact system in an eccentric orbit, were obtained from the period
variation analysis. The system is compared to the similar binaries in the
Hertzsprung-Russell and Mass-Radius diagram.Comment: 17 pages, 3 figures, accepted for Astronomical Journa
Transit Timing Analysis in the HAT-P-32 system
We present the results of 45 transit observations obtained for the transiting
exoplanet HAT-P-32b. The transits have been observed using several telescopes
mainly throughout the YETI network. In 25 cases, complete transit light curves
with a timing precision better than min have been obtained. These light
curves have been used to refine the system properties, namely inclination ,
planet-to-star radius ratio , and the ratio between
the semimajor axis and the stellar radius . First analyses by
Hartman et al. (2011) suggest the existence of a second planet in the system,
thus we tried to find an additional body using the transit timing variation
(TTV) technique. Taking also literature data points into account, we can
explain all mid-transit times by refining the linear ephemeris by 21ms. Thus we
can exclude TTV amplitudes of more than min.Comment: MNRAS accepted; 13 pages, 10 figure
Observation of Parity Nonconservation in Moller Scattering
We report a measurement of the parity-violating asymmetry in fixed target
electron-electron (Moller) scattering: A_PV = -175 +/- 30 (stat.) +/- 20
(syst.) parts per billion. This first direct observation of parity
nonconservation in Moller scattering leads to a measurement of the electron's
weak charge at low energy Q^e_W = -0.053 +/- 0.011. This is consistent with the
Standard Model expectation at the current level of precision:
sin^2\theta_W(M_Z)_MSbar = 0.2293 +/- 0.0024 (stat.) +/- 0.0016 (syst.) +/-

Insight into the Assembly Properties and Functional Organisation of the Magnetotactic Bacterial Actin-like Homolog, MamK
Magnetotactic bacteria (MTB) synthesize magnetosomes, which are intracellular vesicles comprising a magnetic particle. A series of magnetosomes arrange themselves in chains to form a magnetic dipole that enables the cell to orient itself along the Earth’s magnetic field. MamK, an actin-like homolog of MreB has been identified as a central component in this organisation. Gene deletion, fluorescence microscopy and in vitro studies have yielded mechanistic differences in the filament assembly of MamK with other bacterial cytoskeletal proteins within the cell. With little or no information on the structural and behavioural characteristics of MamK outside the cell, the mamK gene from Magnetospirillium gryphiswaldense was cloned and expressed to better understand the differences in the cytoskeletal properties with its bacterial homologues MreB and acitin. Despite the low sequence identity shared between MamK and MreB (22%) and actin (18%), the behaviour of MamK monitored by light scattering broadly mirrored that of its bacterial cousin MreB primarily in terms of its pH, salt, divalent metal-ion and temperature dependency. The broad size variability of MamK filaments revealed by light scattering studies was supported by transmission electron microscopy (TEM) imaging. Filament morphology however, indicated that MamK conformed to linearly orientated filaments that appeared to be distinctly dissimilar compared to MreB suggesting functional differences between these homologues. The presence of a nucleotide binding domain common to actin-like proteins was demonstrated by its ability to function both as an ATPase and GTPase. Circular dichroism and structural homology modelling showed that MamK adopts a protein fold that is consistent with the ‘classical’ actin family architecture but with notable structural differences within the smaller domains, the active site region and the overall surface electrostatic potential
Ethnic-Racial Socialization in Early Childhood: The Implications of Color-Consciousness and Colorblindness for Prejudice Development
This chapter outlines how early childhood teachers can bring children into conversations surrounding race and racism by drawing on literature on how parents of color discuss these topics. Although educators’ practices surrounding race and racism remain largely unexplored, decades of developmental psychological research indicate that parents of color engage in ethnic-racial socialization practices that are beneficial for children (Hughes et al., 2006). The established dimensions of parental ethnic-racial socialization include (1) cultural socialization, or teaching children about their ethnic heritage and instilling ethnic pride; (2) preparation for bias, or teaching children about racism and preparing them to face discrimination; (3) promotion of mistrust, or warning children about the need to distance themselves from other racial groups; and (4) egalitarianism, or emphasizing the similarities between and equality of all races (Hughes et al. 2006). One consideration to take into account from a developmental perspective is that children’s level of cognitive development impacts how they interpret messages about race. This chapter draws a link between parental ethnic-racial socialization and extends this body of work to school settings, with a focus on teachers.
