STAKEHOLDERS MANAGEMENT ISSUES AND LEADERSHIP IN PROJECT MANAGEMENT: THE WAY FORWARD

    Get PDF
Abstract This article examines the roles of a project manager leadership in tackling project stakeholders' management issues in the aim to deliver a successful project. It argues that while it is indeed delivering an outstanding project is a big challenge, but perception of project success varies from stakeholder to another. Therefore, a lack of deep stakeholders' analysis "identification, prioritization, and interest assessment" will lead to divergence among stakeholders 'perception of project success criteria and project success in general. Project manager leadership qualities and traits play a key role in accurately nailing down the project stakeholders' web to enhance the effectiveness of cooperation, collaboration, consultation, and communicating with the different project stakeholders in the aim to shape their expectations and consolidate a common project success criteria list

Gastrointestinal tumors; Tyrosine kinase inhibitorsTumores gastrointestinales; Inhibidores de la tirosina cinasaTumors gastrointestinals; Inhibidors de la tirosina cinasaGastrointestinal stromal tumor (GIST), the most common sarcoma, is mainly caused by an oncogenic mutation in the KIT receptor tyrosine kinase. Targeting KIT using tyrosine kinase inhibitors, such as imatinib and sunitinib, provides substantial benefit; however, in most patients, the disease will eventually progress due to KIT secondary mutations leading to treatment failure. Understanding how GIST cells initially adapt to KIT inhibition should guide the selection of appropriate therapies to overcome the emergence of resistance. Several mechanisms have been broadly implicated in the resistance to imatinib anti-tumoral effects, including the reactivation of MAPK signaling upon KIT/PDGFRA targeted inhibition. This study provides evidence that LImb eXpression 1 (LIX1), a protein we identified as a regulator of the Hippo transducers YAP1 and TAZ, is upregulated upon imatinib or sunitinib treatment. LIX1 silencing in GIST-T1 cells impaired imatinib-induced MAPK signaling reactivation and enhanced imatinib anti-tumor effect. Our findings identified LIX1 as a key regulator of the early adaptative response of GIST cells to targeted therapies. This work was supported by Inserm Transfert (CoPoc N°; MAT-PI-13315-A-02 to SF), by the Association contre les Myopathies (AFM N° 23800 to SF), and by Ligue RĂ©gionale Contre le Cancer Languedoc-Roussillon (2020 to P.d.S.B). The study presents the dry reforming of methane using natural Kaolin silica as catalyst support. The silica-supported LaNiO3 perovskite catalysts (20LaNiO3/SiO2 and 40LaNiO3/SiO2) and bulk LaNiO3 catalyst were synthesized by auto-combustion method. The resulting catalysts were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), N2 adsorption - desorption isotherm measurement,  scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and temperature-programmed reduction (TPR). After reduction at 700 °C, they were used as catalysts for the reaction of dry reforming of methane into synthesis gas at atmospheric pressure at 800 °C. The reduced 40LaNiO3/SiO2 exhibited high catalytic activity. This result was attributed to the small Ni metallic particles obtained from the reduced perovskite highly dispersed on the support and the good reducibility. The increase of reduction temperature at 800 °C resulted in a further enhancement of the catalytic performance of 40LaNiO3/SiO2 catalyst. Copyright © 2019 BCREC Group. All rights reserved

Two approaches were adopted to reach these objectives: (i) a « material » study aimed at demonstrating the potential of the DAA reactor to synthetize NCD films at low temperature with characteristics required by biomedical applications, (ii) a « plasma » study focused on the diagnostics of H2/CH4/CO2 and H2/CH4/CO2/N2 low-pressure discharges used for NCD growth. The first approach dealt initially with the study of NCD film synthesis at low temperature on piezoelectric substrates such as zinc oxide and aluminum nitride for the achievement of Waveguiding Layer Acoustic Wave (WLAW) devices. That was followed by NCD growth on complex shaped substrates destined for NCD coating of titanium implants. The biological properties of NCD/Ti and NCD/Ti6Al4V systems were then investigated. Finally, the NCD growth process improvement was carried out by adding nitrogen to the gas phase. The second approach focused on the characterization of H2/CH4/CO2/N2 plasmas by optical emission and infrared absorption spectroscopy in order to investigate the effects of nitrogen addition in the gas mixture on gas temperature and species concentration. The electronic parameters of the H2/CH4/CO2 discharges, electron density and temperature, were determined as a function of process parameters by Langmuir probe measurement and by a spectroscopic method and the atomic hydrogen density was measured by actinometry

A Dynamic 3D Geometry Compression Scheme Based On The Lifted Wavelet Transform

    No full text
In distributed environments, efficient visual information sharing is critical for effective communication in real-time engineering collaboration. Methods of geometry compression are needed for high-volume geometry data distribution over networks with limited bandwidths and heterogeneous storage capacities. In this paper, a new compression scheme for timevarying 3D geometry is introduced to support engineering and scientific visualization while showing potential for the audiovisual presentation and entertainment fields. This hybrid approach allows geometric and topological information to be uniformly encoded as volume grid values then compressed based on the lifted wavelet transform. The compression ratio is significantly increased without compromising surface quality due to rescaling and integer-to-integer lifting. This approach also allows for scalability in terms of additional data streams such as color, audio, and other types of concurrent data necessary for the desired customization of this method. In this paper, we solve in closed-form the following third-order system of nonlinear difference equations x_{n+1}=(y_ny_{n-1}x^p_{n-1})/(x_{n}(a_n y^q_{n-2}+b_n y_n y_{n-1})), y_{n+1}=(x_n x_{n-1}y^q_{n-1})/(y_{n}(c_n x^p_{n-2}+d_n x_n x_{n-1})), p, q ∈ ℕ, n ∈ ℕ_0 where the initial values x−i, y−i, i = 0, 1, 2 and the parameters (a_n)n∈ℕ_0, (b_n)n∈ℕ0, (cn)n∈ℕ_0, (dn)n∈ℕ_0 are non-zero real numbers. The form of the solutions of the one dimensional case of our system and a more general system defined by one to one functions are also presented

The Arab TV satellite channels growth at the regional and global scale metamorphosed Arabic media space. The early 90s impulse globalization and satellite technologies acquisition by Arab countries seems to be the beginning of a new era in this region where combined financial profitability, political influence and ideological actors. TV Channels rolling news and continuously broadcast information are the appropriate model that reflects this scheme in a region politically, economically and culturally so complex and mostly complicated. It is the advent of the Arab TV channel Al Jazeera and its Afghanistan war coverage in 2001 and thereafter the Iraq war in 2003 that have shaped a huge proportion of Arab public opinion. Other TV channels of the same kind are multiplied and diversified in a record time, such as Al Arabiya, Al Manar, ONTV, Al Mayadeen, etc. Arabic audience is also coveted by Western Arabic TV channels financed by western countries and their governments, such as the U.S. channel Al Hurra, French once 24 French, British one BBC Arabic or the German one DW. The study focuses on the role of the TV channels specialized on news in r evolutions known and continuously know at present the Middle East region. What is the degree of their commitment to broadcasting and anchoring universal values and democratic practices? What is the degree of influence may reveal changes in the Arab societies? The purpose of this research is to understand how the advent of TV Channels rolling news, set goals, and identify actors in order to recognize the consequences over the media plans and geopolitical perspectives.PARIS-CUJAS-BU Droit (751052119) / SudocSudocFranceF
