The present disclosure pertains to the field of payment processing and predictive modelling for the Merchandise returns transactions in the context of payment transactions. More specifically, it focuses on developing a new model that offers predictability scores for merchandise returns, allowing merchants and acquirers to make informed decisions about the clearing of the original transactions. This innovative solution leverages historical data and employs linear regression to predict likelihood of a potential merchandise returns, potentially saving huge costs and resources for the merchant and acquirer and all the parties involved in the transaction processing

Current research and development strategy focus on development of drug delivery system that makes clinically established drugs to their therapeutic best rather than search for new drug in the traditional hit or miss way. Ophthalmic products, like most other product in the medical armamentarium are currently undergoing a process termed optimization. New modes of delivering a drug to the eye are being activity explored, ranging from a solid hydrophobic device that is inserted into the ophthalmic cul-de-sac, to conventionally applied dosage from which due to their formulation characteristic markedly increases the drug residence time in the orbit of eye, thus providing drug for absorption for prolonged periods are for absorption for prolonged periods are reducing the frequency of drug administration. [1] Poor bioavailability of many drugs from topical ophthalmic preparation limits therapeutic drug delivery. Furthermore treatment of several posterior segment disorders requiring therapeutic intravitreal drug level necessitate repeated injections off drugs due to the short residence time of drug in the vitreous cavity. Substantial effort has been directed towards the development of ocular and intraocular drug delivery of ocular and intraocular drug delivery system that would prolong the drug retention allowing the drug to remain in the contact with ocular milieu for longer duration and thus maximize bioavailability. Beyond the issue of bioavailability, patient compliance and dexterity issue for drug installation are other important consideration that may impact therapeutic drug delivery

Objective: As there is a dearth of researches targeting the Indian population on this issue, we decided to conduct a survey to assess the psychological impact of COVID-19 on mental health and quality of life of Indians. Methods: In this Cross-Sectional study, a total of 2245 participants above 16 y of age were included. Mental health variables were assessed via depression, anxiety and stress subscale (DASS-21), Insomnia Severity Index (ISI-7), Patient health questionnaire (PHQ-15), Quality of life (QoL-5) and social media exposure. Results: The multivariate logistic regression demonstrated female (OR-1.17, 95% CI: 0.99 to 1.38) had significantly higher depression scores whereas, housewife had higher depression (OR-1.68, 95% CI: 1.33 to 2.13), anxiety (OR-1.64, 95% CI: 1.15 to 2.35), insomnia (OR-1.32, 95% CI: 1.14 to 1.53), somatic symptoms (OR-1.76, 95% CI: 1.21 to 2.57). Front line workers had a higher psychological impact with increased scores of anxieties (OR-1.23, 95% CI: 0.79 to 1.53), stress (OR-1.82, 95% CI: 0.76 to 2.55), insomnia (OR-1.65, 95% CI: 1.31 to 2.09). Lower education level had significantly higher score in depression (OR-1.14, 95% CI: 0.73 to 1.32), insomnia (OR-2.42, 95% CI: 2.07 to 2.84), somatic symptoms (OR-2.59, 95% CI: 1.80 to 3.37). Poor physical health, social media exposure was significantly associated with heightened anxiety score. Conclusion: There is a need for psychological intervention as the dynamics and severity of COVID-19 is rapidly changing. These findings could guide the public health authorities to target and implement health measures to combat the pandemic

Optimization of the use of cellulolytic enzyme preparation for the extraction of health promoting anthocyanins from black carrot using response surface methodology

Anthocyanin-rich extracts from black carrots are being considered as a candidate replacer for the red colour in processed foods. The present investigation optimizes the extraction of anthocyanins with high phenolic content and low degradation parameters from black carrots using a cellulolytic multi-enzyme preparation known as Viscozyme. The optimized conditions for Viscozyme using a Box-Behnken design (BBD) of response surface methodology (RSM) were as follow: temperature (50.2 â—¦C), extraction time (58.4 min) and enzyme concentration (0.20%). The predicted value of anthocyanins content was 1380 mg/L, which was near to the optimized experimental value of 1375 mg/L. The extracted anthocyanins based on above mentioned conditions exhibited the lowest degradation parameters such as degradation index (DI) of (0.86), browning index of (BI) (1.31) and were characterized with cyanidin 3-sinapoylxylosylglucosylgalactoside as being the most abundant. The findings clearly reveal that Viscozyme-assisted extraction (VAE) is the best approach for extracting superior quality extracts from black carrots with high anthocyanin and other phenolic component concentrations

Valorization potential of tomato (Solanum lycopersicum L.) seed : nutraceutical quality, food properties, safety aspects, and application as a health-promoting ingredient in foods

The tomato is a member of the Solanaceae family and is a crop that is widely cultivated around the world due to its sweet, sour, salty, juicy, and nutritious berries. The processing of tomatoes generates a significant amount of waste in the form of tomato pomace, which includes seeds and skin. Tomato seeds are reservoirs of various nutrients, such as proteins, carbohydrates, lipids, minerals, and vitamins. These components make tomato seeds an important ingredient for application in food matrices. This review discusses the functional food properties of tomato seeds and their scope of utilization as major ingredients in the functional food industry. In addition, this review describes the development of tomato seeds as a potential nutritional and nutraceutical ingredient, along with recent updates on research conducted worldwide. This is the first review that demonstrates the nutritional profile of tomato seeds along with its diverse functional food properties and application as a functional food ingredient
