Early performance of cocoa (Theobroma cacao L.)genotypes in arecanut under Assam condition of North Eastregion of India
Cocoa is an important plantation crop grown in southern parts of India. Though many cocoa varieties have been released for cultivation in different parts of India, there is no variety recommended for cultivation exclusively for India’s North East region, especially Assam, where arecanut is grown as an important cash crop. Therefore the present investigation was undertaken to study the performance of twelve cocoa genotypes for its growth, pod yield and yield attributing traits for subsequent research programmes. The data for growth, pod yield and yield attributing traits were recorded three years after planting for five years (2015 to 2019), and the mean data were used for analysis. Genotype VTLC 11 significantly produced greater plant height (2.70 m), stem circumference (27.73 cm), height at jorquetting (36.16 cm) and canopy area (17.00 m2). Mean average pod yield among the genotypes varied from 20.65 to 48.40 tree-1 year-1. Genotype VTLC 19 produced significantly higher pod yield (48.40), number of fresh beans pod-1 (34.06), fresh bean weight pod-1 (229.65 g), dry bean weight pod-1 (119.32 g), single dry bean weight (1.20 g) and dry bean yield (1.76 kg). Considering the most economic traits of cocoa, VTLC 19 appears to be the most suitable genotype for commercial cultivation in the region
'Feeling' risk and seeing solutions: Predicting vaccination intention against Hepatitis B infection among men who have sex with men
This study assessed cognitive and affective predictors of intention to obtain vaccination against the hepatitis B virus (HBV) among men who have sex with men (MSM), based on leading social cognitive models of health behavior. The key predictors of vaccination intention were perceived risk of contracting HBV, expectancies regarding the outcome of vaccination, and the interaction between risk perception and outcome expectancies. Negative affect increased risk perceptions, which, in turn, positively affected vaccination intention. It is concluded that MSM should feel they are at risk for HBV, and see solutions to this risk. Path integral solution for an angle-dependent anharmonic oscillator
We have given a straightforward method to solve the problem of noncentral
anharmonic oscillator in three dimensions. The relative propagator is presented
by means of path integrals in spherical coordinates. By making an adequate
change of time we were able to separate the angular motion from the radial one.
The relative propagator is then exactly calculated. The energy spectrum and the

Epigenome-wide SRC-1 mediated gene silencing represses cellular differentiation in advanced breast cancer
Abstract
Purpose: Despite the clinical utility of endocrine therapies for estrogen receptor–positive (ER) breast cancer, up to 40% of patients eventually develop resistance, leading to disease progression. The molecular determinants that drive this adaptation to treatment remain poorly understood. Methylome aberrations drive cancer growth yet the functional role and mechanism of these epimutations in drug resistance are poorly elucidated.
Experimental Design: Genome-wide multi-omics sequencing approach identified a differentially methylated hub of prodifferentiation genes in endocrine resistant breast cancer patients and cell models. Clinical relevance of the functionally validated methyl-targets was assessed in a cohort of endocrine-treated human breast cancers and patient-derived ex vivo metastatic tumors.
Results: Enhanced global hypermethylation was observed in endocrine treatment resistant cells and patient metastasis relative to sensitive parent cells and matched primary breast tumor, respectively. Using paired methylation and transcriptional profiles, we found that SRC-1–dependent alterations in endocrine resistance lead to aberrant hypermethylation that resulted in reduced expression of a set of differentiation genes. Analysis of ER-positive endocrine-treated human breast tumors (n = 669) demonstrated that low expression of this prodifferentiation gene set significantly associated with poor clinical outcome (P = 0.00009). We demonstrate that the reactivation of these genes in vitro and ex vivo reverses the aggressive phenotype.
Conclusions: Our work demonstrates that SRC-1-dependent epigenetic remodeling is a ’high level’ regulator of the poorly differentiated state in ER-positive breast cancer. Collectively these data revealed an epigenetic reprograming pathway, whereby concerted differential DNA methylation is potentiated by SRC-1 in the endocrine resistant setting. Analytic theory of ground-state properties of a three-dimensional electron gas at varying spin polarization
We present an analytic theory of the spin-resolved pair distribution
functions and the ground-state energy of an electron gas
with an arbitrary degree of spin polarization. We first use the Hohenberg-Kohn
variational principle and the von Weizs\"{a}cker-Herring ideal kinetic energy
functional to derive a zero-energy scattering Schr\"{o}dinger equation for
. The solution of this equation is implemented
within a Fermi-hypernetted-chain approximation which embodies the Hartree-Fock
limit and is shown to satisfy an important set of sum rules. We present
numerical results for the ground-state energy at selected values of the spin
polarization and for in both a paramagnetic and a fully
spin-polarized electron gas, in comparison with the available data from Quantum

Zeta function method and repulsive Casimir forces for an unusual pair of plates at finite temperature
We apply the generalized zeta function method to compute the Casimir energy
and pressure between an unusual pair of parallel plates at finite temperature,
namely: a perfectly conducting plate and an infinitely permeable one. The high
and low temperature limits of these quantities are discussed; relationships
between high and low temperature limits are estabkished by means of a modified

Phi meson production in Au+Au and p+p collisions at sqrt (s)=200 GeV
We report the STAR measurement of Phi meson production in Au+Au and p+p
collisions at sqrt (s)=200 GeV. Using the event mixing technique, the Phi
spectra and yields are obtained at mid-rapidity for five centrality bins in
Au+Au collisions and for non-singly-diffractive p+p collisions. It is found
that the Phi transverse momentum distributions from Au+Au collisions are better
fitted with a single-exponential while the p+p spectrum is better described by
a double-exponential distribution. The measured nuclear modification factors
indicate that Phi production in central Au+Au collisions is suppressed relative
to peripheral collisions when scaled by the number of binary collisions. The
systematics of versus centrality and the constant Phi/K- ratio versus beam
species, centrality, and collision energy rule out kaon coalescence as the

Azimuthal anisotropy and correlations in p+p, d+Au and Au+Au collisions at 200 GeV
We present the first measurement of directed flow () at RHIC. is
found to be consistent with zero at pseudorapidities from -1.2 to 1.2,
then rises to the level of a couple of percent over the range . The latter observation is similar to data from NA49 if the SPS rapidities
are shifted by the difference in beam rapidity between RHIC and SPS.
Back-to-back jets emitted out-of-plane are found to be suppressed more if
compared to those emitted in-plane, which is consistent with {\it jet
quenching}. Using the scalar product method, we systematically compared
azimuthal correlations from p+p, d+Au and Au+Au collisions. Flow and non-flow
