Range-Gated Metrology with Compact Optical Head

This work represents a radical simplification in the design of the optical head needed for high-precision laser ranging applications. The optical head is now a single fiber-optic collimator with dimensions of order of 1 1 2 cm, which can be easily integrated into the system being measured with minimal footprint

Drought risk in Argentine Pampean region

This paper analyses the drought risk in argentine Pampean region using statistical results of soil water storage. These are calculated by daily soil water balance whose methodology has been tested using values obtained in situ. The goal of the paper is define a level of drought or minimum level of soil water storage, for the entire region which is, at the same time, the minimum optimum soil water content for crops. Over this moisture level, crops can yield with all their potential. The occurrence probability of values, for a determined time period, under that minimum is proposed. The established level of drought is considered as the half of the available soil water capacity, which coincides with the minimum limit of optimum soil moisture (so called conditional drought level). The possibility of the use of crop and/or soil management coefficients, allowing a more particular evaluation for different agricultural exploitation, is also analyzed. Inventarisasi Cagar Budaya Kampung Adat Tiwutewa di Kabupaten Ende

Tiwutewa Village, about 16 km east of Ende City, has several objects that have the potential as cultural heritage. The purpose of this activity is to record objects that are suspected to have the potential to be cultural heritage objects. The method used is library research, observation and interviews. The results obtained, there are three objects that are suspected of being cultural heritage objects, namely: Tubumusu Oranata, Keda and Traditional Houses. These three objects are located precisely in the village of Kurumboro. In appearance the condition of these three objects is still well maintained because of the presence of the Mosalaki who have the task of guarding these sites. In addition, every year there are always traditional rituals centered on the three sites
