En el español moderno las oraciones completivas de infinitivo introducidas por la preposición “superflua” de, que para abreviar se denominarán “infinitivo preposicional” (IP), constituyen un excelente ejemplo del concepto praguense de sincronía dinámica. En efecto, se trata de una construcción del español antiguo, que quedó excluida de la lengua culta, pero que ha persistido marginalmente, alternando con el infinitivo directo o con el introducido por otra preposición, e incluso renovándose en algún nuevo contexto

Households’ Indebtedness and Financial Fragility

The paper studies the determinants of international differences in household indebtedness, and inquires whether indebtedness is associated with increased “financial fragility”, as measured by the sensitivity of household arrears and insolvencies to macroeconomic shocks. It also investigates whether financial fragility is affected by institutional factors, such as information sharing arrangements, judicial efficiency and individual bankruptcy regulation. We address these issues by tapping three data sets: (i) cross-country data on household indebtedness; (ii) European panel data for households lending and arrears; and (iii) time series data for household lending and insolvencies in the U.K., the U.S.A. and Germany. Monitoraggio dei campi di velocità superficiali dei ghiacciai tramite i dati Sentinel-1 Sar: definizione di una metodologia e implementazione del software

I ghiacciai, oltre ad essere una risorsa preziosa per l'umanità, costituiscono uno dei principali indicatori dei cambiamenti climatici su scala locale e globale, essendo influenzati dalle variazioni di temperatura e dall'entità delle precipitazioni. Numerose osservazioni sui cambiamenti di massa, volume, area e lunghezza dei ghiacciai sono state raccolte dal World Glacier Monitoring Service in collaborazione con GLIMS (Global Land Ice Measurements from Space), i cui dati rappresentano uno strumento fondamentale per migliorare la comprensione delle dinamiche e dei comportamenti di queste formazioni. Tra i numerosi parametri osservati, le velocità di scorrimento superficiale dei ghiacciai è uno dei più importanti, in quanto influenzate dagli eventi connessi a cambiamenti nella sua morfologia e struttura dei ghiacciai stessi. Lo scopo di questo lavoro è di presentare un software, sviluppato in ambiente Free and Open Source presso l'Area di Geodesia e Geomatica dell'Università di Roma “La Sapienza”, basato su un'innovativa metodologia per il calcolo dei campi di velocità superficiale di scorrimento dei ghiacciai ottenuta dall'elaborazione di una serie di immagini in ampiezza SAR Sentinel-1A. Diversi test sono stati eseguiti utilizzando immagini acquisite sulle aree della catena montuosa del Karakorum (Pakistan del nord) e sullo Hielo Patagonico Nord (Cile), conseguendo risultati coerenti con gli studi esistenti e mettendo in luce i diversi comportamenti fluidodinamici dei ghiacciai nonché le variazioni stagionali dei flussi. Per stimare gli spostamenti della superficie si è utilizzato il metodo dell'Intensity Offset-Tracking, basato sulla tecnica del template matching. I risultati presentati in questo lavoro confermano l'affidabilità del metodo di Offset-Tracking nel determinare la velocità superficiale e la possibilità di avere un continuo aggiornamento dei campi di velocità attraverso l'impiego delle immagini gratuite Sentinel-1A, offrendo in prospettiva la possibilità dell'istituzione di un servizio sistematico globale finalizzato al monitoraggio dei ghiacciai.Glaciers are among the most reliable indicators of climate change at local and global scale and many studies on the glaciers dynamics have been carried out. Nowadays, the World Glacier Monitoring Service in collaboration with the Global Land Ice Measurements from Space, collects observations on time changes in mass, volume, area and length of glaciers. Among the parameters used for glacier monitoring, the glaciers surface velocity plays a crucial role, since it influences the events connected to glaciers changes. The aim of this work was to present a new Free and Open Source software developed at the Geodesy and Geomatic Division of the University of Roma Sapienza, based on a innovative methodology for glacier surface velocity fields computing, using Sentinel-1A SAR amplitude imagery. Several tests have been performed using Sentinel-1 imagery acquired over the Karakoram mountain (North Pakistan) and the Northen Patagonian Ice Field (Chile) in order to highlight the behaviour of different glaciers also the seasonal fluctuations. To estimate the glacier surface displacement, it has chosen to implement Intensity Offset-tracking technique, well tested and reliable method as testified by the numerous existing applications and based on template matching procedure obtaining results coherent with previous studies. The results presented in this work are coherent to those obtained in previous studies and confirm that SAR Off-set tracking is an effective method to obtain glacier surface velocity and highlight that it is possible to have a continuous update of the glacier surface velocity field through free Sentinel-1 imagery

Pensar y actuar desde la paradoja : igualdad, diferencia e identidad en la teoría política feminista

Este trabajo propone someter a examen crítico el dilema igualdad-diferencia, entendiéndolo como uno de los clivajes centrales de la teoría feminista. Para ello se retoma la noción de paradoja en su sentido potencialmente desestabilizador, y se la reivindica como espacio y oportunidad para el pensamiento y la acción. Al tiempo que indaga en los peligros de las posturas esencialistas, el texto aborda algunas de las reflexiones que la teoría feminista ha realizado acerca de las identidades y de la problemática constitución del sujeto colectivo "mujeres".This essay intends to submit the equality-difference dilemma -understood as one of the central cleavages of feminist theory- to critical examination. In order to do so this article adopts the concept of paradox as a potentially destabilizing effect and claims it as a space and opportunity for thought and action. The article explores the dangers of essentialist positions and addresses some of the reflections made by feminist theory on identity and on the problematic constitution of the collective subject named "women"

Finding integral points on algebraic varieties

The Vojta’s conjecture establishes geometrical conditions on the degeneracy of the set of S-integral points for an algebraic variety. The goal of the thesis is to prove that for certain algebraic varieties for which such conditions are not verified the set of S-integral points is Zariski-dense. Some effective methods in this respect has been developed by Beukers in his paper “Ternary form Equations” , in which he proved the density of integral solutions of some homogeneous diophantine equations. Following such ideas, the work of the thesis consists on finding the density of S-integral points on some varieties for which it is not known at the moment, imposing the needed arithmetical and geometrical conditionsope

De la explotación a la subordinación: feminismo y marxismo

A partir de una presentación general de las relaciones y tensiones entre el feminismo y el marxismo, el presente trabajo sostiene la necesidad de repensar los criterios con los que abordamos el análisis de la distinción público-privado y el lugar de las mujeres en esa división. Para ello, propone retomar las categorías conceptuales de Carole Pateman para analizar el contrato matrimonial, el contrato de trabajo, y el contrato social-sexual, desde una mirada crítica a la noción de individuo como propietario de su persona.This paper argues, from a general overview of the relations and the tensions between Feminism and Marxism, the need to rethink the analysis of the public-private distinction and the place of women in that division.
