Systematic Classifier of Manufacturing Processes for Medium Size Shafts
The article considers some issues of increasing efficiency of manufacturing preparation as a part of manufacturing processes design at a machine building enterprise. A tree of routing manufacturing processes for machining shafts of medium size is described as an example of clustering parts according to their structural and technological characteristics. Processing route for a certain part included into a certain group is developed through choosing machining operations for elementary surfaces of a part from the process route developed for a template representative of the group
Improvement of the Sintered Surface and Bulk of the Product Via Differentiating Laser Sintering (Melting) Modes
Selective laser sintering (melting) enables using metal powdered materials to manufacture products of any geometrical complexity, requiring no preliminary costs to prepare processing equipment. However, quality of the sintered surface is often inadequate as against the product manufactured traditionally. Manufacturing a high quality product requires solution of such vital task as prediction of the sintered surface roughness. The authors address to the effect of laser sintering modes on roughness of the surface, sintered of copper powdered material PMS-l (IIMC-1). The dependence of roughness of the surface layer sintered of copper powder material PMS-l upon sintering process conditions is expressed mathematically. The authors suggest differentiating sintering modes to improve the sintered surface and the bulk of the product and dividing them into rough, semi-finishing, and finishing ones
Influence of Shielding Gas and Mechanical Activation of Metal Powders on the Quality of Surface Sintered Layers
The thesis analyses the influence of argon shielding gas and mechanical activation of PMS-1 copper powder and DSK-F75 cobalt chrome molybdenum powder on the surface sintered layer quality under various sintering conditions. Factors affecting the quality of the sintered surface and internal structure are studied. The obtained results prove positive impact of the shielding gas and mechanical activation. Sintering PMS-1 copper powder in argon shielding gas after mechanical activation leads to reduced internal stresses and roughness, as well as improved strength characteristics of the sintered surface. Analysis of sintered samples of mechanically activated DSK-F75 cobalt chrome molybdenum powder shows that the strength of the sintered surface grows porosity and coagulation changes

Pulsations and Long-Term Light Variability of Three Candidates to Protoplanetary Nebulae
We present new photometric data and analysis of the long-duration UBV
photoelectric observations for three candidates to protoplanetary objects -
F-supergiants with IR-excesses located at large galactic latitudes, IRAS
18095+2704, IRAS 19386+0155, and IRAS 19500-1709. All three stars have revealed
quasiperiodic low-amplitude variabilities caused by pulsations observed against
the long-term trends of brightnesses. For IRAS 18095+2704=V887 Her we have
found a pulsation period of 109 days and a linear trend of brightness under the
constant colours if being averaged over the year timescale. The light curve of
IRAS 19386+0155=V1648 Aql over 2000-2008 can be approximated by a wave with a
main period of 102 days which is modulated by close frequency, with a period of
98 days, that results in brightness oscillations with a variable amplitude.
V1648 Aql has also shown synchronous reddening together with a persistent rise
of brightness in the V-band. IRAS 19500-1709=V5112 Sgr experiences irregular
pulsations with the periods of 39 and 47 days. The long-term component of the
variability of V5112 Sgr may be related to the binary character of this star.Comment: 11 pages, 6 figures, accepted for publication in Pis'ma Astron. Z
Controlling the type and the form of chip when machining steel
The type of the chip produced in the process of machining influences many factors of production process. Controlling the type of chip when cutting metals is important for producing swarf chips and for easing its utilization as well as for protecting the machined surface, cutting tool and the worker. In the given work we provide the experimental data on machining structural steel with implanted tool. The authors show that it is possible to control the chip formation process to produce the required type of chip by selecting the material for machining the tool surface
Process Conditions of Forming the Surface Layer of Aluminum Powder Product by Layer-by-layer Laser Sintering
The paper presents data on state of the art in selective laser sintering of products. Layer-by-layer sintering is shown to be a future-oriented technology, making it possible to synthesize products of metal powder materials. Factors, influencing the quality of a sintered product, are revealed in the paper. It presents outcomes of experiments, focused on the dependence of surface layer thickness of sintered aluminum powder PA-4 on laser processing conditions. Basic factors, influencing the quality of a sintered surface layer include laser power, speeds of scanning and moving the laser beam on the layer of powder. Thickness of the sintered layer varies from 0.74 to 1.55 mm, as the result of changing the laser processing conditions
Modeling the spectrum of V4334 Sgr (Sakurai's Object)
Theoretical spectral energy distributions were computed for a grid of
hydrogen-deficient and carbon-rich model atmospheres of T(eff) in the range of
5000-6250 K and log g = 1.0 - 0.0 by the technique of opacity sampling, taking
into account continuous, molecular band and atomic line absorption. These
energy distributions were compared with the spectrum of V4334 Sgr (Sakurai's
object) of April, 1997 in the wavelength interval 300-1000 nm. We show that (1)
the shape of the theoretical spectra depends strongly on T(eff) but only very
weakly on the hydrogen abundance; (2) the comparison of the observed and
computed spectra permits to estimate T(eff) approximately 5500 K for V4334 Sgr
in April, 1997, and its interstellar reddening (plus a possible circumstellar

The Discovery of Infrared Rings in the Planetary Nebula NGC 1514 During the WISE All-Sky Survey
We report the discovery of a pair of infrared, axisymmetric rings in the
planetary nebula NGC 1514 during the course of the WISE all-sky mid-infrared
survey. Similar structures are seen at visible wavelengths in objects such as
the "Engraved Hourglass Nebula" (MyCn 18) and the "Southern Crab Nebula" (Hen
2-104). However, in NGC 1514 we see only a single pair of rings and they are
easily observed only in the mid-infrared. These rings are roughly 0.2 pc in
diameter, are separated by 0.05 pc, and are dominated by dust emission with a
characteristic temperature of 160 K. We compare the morphology and color of the
rings to the other nebular structures seen at visible, far-infrared, and radio
wavelengths, and close with a discussion of a physical model and formation

A family of cometary globules at the periphery of Cyg OB1: the star HBHA 3703-01 and the reflection nebula GM 2-39
The interstellar medium in the region of a family of cometary globules
including the reflection nebula GM 2-39 has been analyzed basing on our
observations with the slit spectrograph, the results of our previous
observations with a Fabry-Perot interferometer in the H-alpha line, Spitzer
archival data together with CO microwave data. The structure of globules' IR
emission, velocity field of ionized gas in the H-alpha line and of molecular
gas in the CO line have been considered. We have detected a CO cavern around
the eastern globules and faint high-velocity H-alpha features of surrounding
gas. The most probable sources of ionizing radiation and wind of the Cyg OB1
association responsible for the globules' formation are proposed. Based on our
multicolour photometry, it has been found that the brightest compact source in
the southern 'head' of the cometary globule - the star HBHA 3703-01 (IRAS
20153+3850) - is a B(5-6)V star with E(B-V)=1.18 mag. The strong and broad
H-alpha emission line was revealed in its spectrum. The spectral energy
distribution of HBHA 3703-01 in the 0.44-24 micron range has been modeled. It
is shown that the star has a hot dust envelope with T(dust)=1400 K and
tau(V)=1.1. Besides, the star HBHA 3703-01 illuminates the encompassing diffuse
nebula GM 2-39 with a diameter of about 30 arcsec. With regard to all obtained
observational data for HBHA 3703-01, this object may be classified as the
