Anisotropic constitutive modeling for nickel base single crystal superalloy Rene N4 at 982 C
A back stress/drag stress constitutive model based on a crystallographic approach to model single crystal anisotropy is presented. Experimental results demonstrated the need for the back stress variable in the inelastic flow equations. Experimental findings suggested that back stress is orientation dependent and controls both strain hardening and recovery characteristics. Due to the observed stable fatigue loops at 1800 F, drag stress is considered constant for this temperature. The constitutive model operated with constraints determined only from tensile data was extensively tested from simple tensile and fatigue to complicated strain hold tests. The model predicted very well under those conditions
Using student experience to inform the design of an automated feedback system for essay answers
The SAFeSEA project (Supportive Automated Feedback for Short Essay Answers) aims to develop an automated feedback system to support university students as they write summative essays. Empirical studies carried out in the initial phase of the system’s development illuminated students’ approaches to and understandings of the essay-writing process. Findings from these studies suggested that, regardless of their experience of higher education, students consider essay writing as: 1) a sequential set of activities, 2) a process that is enhanced through particular sources of support and 3) a skill that requires the development of personal strategies. Further data collected from tutors offered insight into the feedback and reflection stages of essay writing. These perspectives offer important considerations for the ongoing, iterative development of this automated feedback system and indeed, for any institution developing tools to support students’ writing
Efektivitas Pelaksanaan Program Pengembangan UKM di Dinas Koperasi dan Usaha Mikro, Kecil dan Menengah Kota Manado
Small and medium enterprises is one of the important part of the economy of acountry or region, as well as the State of Indonesia. Small and medium businesses have animportant role in its economy of the community. However, in the development of small andmedium enterprises still seems to be hampered by a few things such as lack of capital and also thesoul of entrepreneurship. Given the small and Medium Businesses recognised as employment formost workers, then the necessary development of partially, because as long as this does not givemaximum results against small and Medium Business performance improvements. In this study, the researchers used a qualitative research design with a contextualresearch which makes human beings as instruments, and adapted to the situation are reasonablein relation to the collection of data.Seen from the ability of human resources Department alreadyowned are effective because they already provided insight on coaching and training for small andMedium Businesses in accordance with the law, but still required construction in terms of thesense of responsibility in order to carry out the task and his work well in improving the well-beingof small and medium businessmen rather than for personal gain, bureaucracy, or a certain type tobe reaching the goal is efficient

Implementation of Road Infrastructure Development Policy in Support of Community EconomicDevelopment in Sorong. This study aims to find out about the Road Infrastructure Development inSupport of Economic Development conducted by the government of Sorong in particular Umum.OlehWorks Department for the government\u27s role in encouraging the development area should be donewith a set of policies and actions that can improve regional economy Sorong. This study was conducted in Sorong, the process of data collection is done by observation, interviewand documentation. Informants in this study consisted of 14 people. The data collected later describedby using qualitative methods. Results from this study indicate that the construction of road infrastructure in Sorong Regency is goodenough, but not fully wishes of the people can be responded to by the government, especially theDepartment of Public Works. Thus the author can propose to the government to the natural resourcesthat could be used for the benefit of local communities in Sorong for the present and the future
Retrieving Marine Inherent Optical Properties from Satellites Using Temperature and Salinity-dependent Backscattering by Seawater
Time-series of marine inherent optical properties (IOPs) from ocean color satellite instruments provide valuable data records for studying long-term time changes in ocean ecosystems. Semi-analytical algorithms (SAAs) provide a common method for estimating IOPs from radiometric measurements of the marine light field. Most SAAs assign constant spectral values for seawater absorption and backscattering, assume spectral shape functions of the remaining constituent absorption and scattering components (e.g., phytoplankton, non-algal particles, and colored dissolved organic matter), and retrieve the magnitudes of each remaining constituent required to match the spectral distribution of measured radiances. Here, we explore the use of temperature- and salinity-dependent values for seawater backscattering in lieu of the constant spectrum currently employed by most SAAs. Our results suggest that use of temperature- and salinity-dependent seawater spectra elevate the SAA-derived particle backscattering, reduce the non-algal particles plus colored dissolved organic matter absorption, and leave the derived absorption by phytoplankton unchanged
Pengaruh Kebijakan Mutasi Pegawai Negeri Sipil terhadap Peningkatan Kinerja Pegawai di Dinas Pendidikan Pemuda dan Olahraga Kabupaten Kepulauan Talaud
Introduction One of the purposes of the implementation of mutations policy is to seek the rightperson in the right place "the right man on the right place". Will thus be able to improve employeeperformance. Although we have already arranged for the purpose of putting the right people in the rightplace, but it does not mean the problem has been completed. A work that is routine may lead to boredom,so that in these circumstances the possibility of his enthusiasm and excitement down. This can happendespite the fact that the placement in place the right people have been executed. For that reason inmutates we must see to it that a new task is still in line with the duties and previous work. Therefore, thisstudy aimed to determine the effect of policy transfer of civil servants to the improvement of theenvironmental performance of employees in the education department of youth and sports district Talaudislands. Methods The method used is quantitatively using simple linear regesi analysis, and correlationanalysis is simple. And the sample studied were 30 people, in the data collection techniques using SampleRandom Sampling technique, a questionnaire (questionnaire) or a list of questions, and observations. Results The results of the overall analysis shows that the policy of transfer of civil servants have a positiveinfluence on the improvement of the performance of employees in the Ministry of Youth and SportsTalaud Islands. Conclusion As the results of this research as well as theoretical idea then it can be statedthat the policy of transfer of civil servants have a positive influence on employee performanceimprovement
Peranan Kepala Desa dalam Meningkatkan Efektivitas Pelayanan Publik (suatu Studi di Desa Pinabetengan Selatan Kecamatan Tompaso Barat Kabupaten Minahasa) Kristiana Purba
Background: In the framework of the implementation of Law No. 32 Year 2004 on Regional Government and Law No. 25 of 2009 concerning public services provided to the public, the government as service providers are required to provide excellent service to the community. Excellent public services can be assessed from the process and product services. Aspects of the human resources of the process include, mechanisms and facilities used in the process. While aspects of the product services on the type, quality, and service product kuantits. Dynamic society has evolved in a variety of activities that increasingly require professional government apparatus. Along with the dynamics of society and its development, the need for increasingly complex services as well as better service, fast and precise and able to provide good service to the community. Research Methodology: This study uses descriptive research through in-depth interviews to 19 informants, observation, and document search aided by additional instruments such as interview guides and stationery. Results: Based on the duties and functions of the village chief and public services according to Lanvine the role of village heads in the services, responsiveness, responsibiliti, accountability and effectiveness of service is quite good, although there are still some problems in improving the effectiveness of services. Conclusion: the role of the village head as a public servant based study in rural South Pinabetengan can say is good enough
